Noor Design UK Challenge

Hello everyone how are you all?

Its the 1st June so its time for a new challenge over at Noor Design UK & this month the theme is........

SUMMER

.......super easy & in the UK we are even getting the right weather for a change.
Now when I think of summer I think BBQ's & Ice Cream..........so I decided go for one of the those.....I decided the 2nd one as then I could use my new stamp from Noor Design UK.
I will put a list to everything used form Noor Design UK at the bottom of this post.
I used a Go-Kreate for the shape.

I added a couple of things you use in the summer, filmstrip as we use our camera's more in the summer & this umbrella........actually I'm thinking of it as a parasol as we use our parasol's in summer........everyday the sun is out out comes my parasol & it goes on the table outside so I can sit under it have a nice cuppa ;-)

The Magnolia stamp is one of the latest ones........though I've got the new ones on order & cannot wait for those come.........so excited!!
Anyway this is Gelato Tilda & I merged her with a stamp I brought from a lovely bloggy friend who keeps her stamps perfect..........suits me to a tee as I'm particular & fussy with my stamps lol.
Anyway the stamp I merged her with is from The Sea Breeze collection & is called 'Time For Ice Cream'..... I coloured it all with distress inks.

The tag was cut from a Craft & You 12x12 sheet & I added a sentiment from an old Whiff Of Joy stamp set & cut it out using a Little Darlings die & adhered it to the tag.

Here are the items with links of products from Noor Design UK.

Lovely Hanglar or Sweet Magnolia DT Card

Hello everyone hope you are all having a lovely weekend.
We are at my sons having a BBQ today at his new house as we helped move them last weekend...hubster even brought a new dress to wear ooohhhh fancy shmancy lol.
So I'm hoping this post has published......

Today starts a new challenge over at Lovely Hanglar Or Sweet Magnolia & the theme this month is.........
A Special Date.....i.e Birthdays, Christening, Anniversary etc

...........super easy right!!!
I have used one of the super duper new stamps from Magnolia.......I lurve these & love the dies. Though I didnt bother with the Star Wars themed ones as I'm not  into Star Wars at all!!! I can hear people now screaming 'WHAT!!!!!!' lol yep sorry peeps.....
This is a birthday card for my daughter Natalie, she is 25 on 6th June.......can you believe that .........25!! So this is a card off her younger brother...........though when my granddaughter saw it yesterday she told me she really REALLY loved it & wanted take it home put it in her new bedroom lol.

I made a bow with this ribbon I've had in my stash for ages & cannot remember where it was originally from.....I want to say Live & Love Crafts. The button in the centre I made with a circle of paper punched from some Pion paper & a glass cabochon was then glued in place.....I usually use the apoxy resin ones but I do have a few glass ones for when I want an extra special touch ;-)
You can also see Tim Holtz doily die peeking out there as well.

So the fabulous stamp is 'Jeans Tilda' from the Denim range. I stamped her onto Fabriano & coloured her with distress ink refills. The pocket watch I made a long time ago with a mould I have in my stash.
I cut Tilda out with a CC Design Tag die & then I used the 'Denim' ring from the Magnolia Denim Tag here.

I have used Magnolia dies for the 2 tags in the pocket, 1 will be saying Sister on it & the other is a Birthday Recipe stamp from LOTV. The seam binding is one I died myself a while ago.
The butterfly is from my stash which I've had for a looooong time.

The papers are a new pad I got recently & its sooooooo pretty, its from Craft & You & is called 'Beautiful Day',I've used the 6x6 pad but will be getting the 12x12 as well now lol. As you can see I've decorated inside & machine stitched as always.
The laces running up the side are from my stash & I also added some cheesecloth.

This photo I took on my conservatory window sill, we have had such beautiful weather this week that I actually had a day sitting outside once all my cleaning was done.......Natalie sat in the conservatory next to the double doors as she wasnt quite well enough go out that day. Though she is doing much better thankfully. Its harder to craft in the nice weather as you just want to be out enjoying it with the family dont you....

Please pop on over to see my uber talented teamies creations & we hope you will join us....remember you can enter as many times as you want.........so you know what that means dont you!! More chance at the prize & more chances to get the fabulous top 3 award.
Our sponsor this month is Wild Orchid Crafts........so you could win some gorgeous flowers....now sure ly thats worth entering LOTS!!!
Remember to use Hanglar or Magnolia stamps,,,,,,,,

Noor Design UK DT Card

Hello everyone how are you all?
I was hoping you to show you a project this week with in depth photo's or maybe even a video of the making or part of. However my daughter got took into hospital & although she is home now she is still very poorly. Also my eldest son & family moved at the weekend so I was looking after my grandchildren as well as my poorly Natalie & well there are not enough hours in the day.

So I will show you that next week as I'm really looking forward to doing it. Today though I have some shabby chic for you......oh my I love shabby chic........I would have it everywhere........even hubster would get the shabby chic treatment if I could get away with it lol.
I used the oh so pretty Pion Design 'My Dearest Sofia' papers, I went with blues for this one with just hints of pink in the background.
I have also used bits from the Crafteezee Collection No.9 which I think was March Elegant collection......but I'm not certain :-(
The 2 hearts in this photo are from the Crafteezee collection, the lace heart is lace & you get a long length of it but I just cut 1 heart off.....you may end up seeing these lots lol
The small metal heart I added Ivory Fran-Tage embossing powder to it but before I heated it with my heat gun I rubbed off little bits here & there so a bit of bronze would still peek through.
I also cut out 2 doilies, 1 in white card using a Fantasy die & the other from Pion paper with a Marianne die...........these are 2 of my favourite dies........amongst many others lol.

This little wooden peg with a heart on was also from the crafteezee collection....I added white gesso to the wooden peg & then stamped a postage stamp on the half of the heart.......its not showing up very good in this picture. I stamped onto paper first to get a lot of the ink off as I wanted it light.

I love the metal leaves but sometimes I think they dont really go with my card..........so I added Fran-tage embossing powder to both sides & heated them with my heat gun.........be careful & use tweezers as they get very hot with being metal.
Now I absolutely LOVE them & will be buying lots & giveing them the fran-tage treatment lol.
For these I used Ivory Fran-Tage to match the smaller metal heart in the previous photo.
I used some gorgeous flowers & I used quite a few different leaves. I used the metal ones & I used 2 different Rosy Owl Leaf dies & I also used Tim Holtz Holiday Greens.......I think a couple of the dies in this set you can get away with all year round. The Tim Holtz ones I cut with the blue 12x12 Pion Sheet, Rosy Owl was cut with the green 12x12 pion sheet & the maja design sheet & also white cardstock..... I also added some heat treated organza ribbon in there as well.

I added cheesecloth between the first & second layer & I also added 2 different laces. I distressed all my edges with a Tim Holtz tool.

Well thats it from me dont forget about our current challenge which is 'Add Lace' here.

Thanks so so much for stopping by it means a lot to us.
Lotsa hugs Vicky xxx

Peace & Joy For Christmas

Hello everyone how are you all? Well a week tomorrow the jolly fella dressed in red comes eeekkkk.........my goodness I'm so not prepared at all.

I'm here today to show you a card that I made for very dear relatives.......cannot say as its on their way to them through the postal service ;-) However I will show you what I sent them & hopefully they will like it.
Will list all products used at the bottom.
My favourite colours seem to be reds & golds this year........usually I prefer blues & browns.....you know what I reckon my favourite colours depend on what Maja Design & Pion Design release for christmas lol.

I added some Scrapiniec & then a rusty star over the top, love these rusty things on christmas cards.
I also added a heart shaped button from my stash with some thin twine behind it.
I also added white crackle paste here & there.. The sentiment is from the bottom of a sheet of Maja Design paper.

All the flowers are WOC & I added Pomegrante Apples & a mini bark star. The leaves are Tim Holtz Holiday Greens. There is also a small white wooden snowflake, I adore these!!

The gorgeous red ribbon is from my stash although it looks quite bright here when its not actually this bright.
I've added berries from my stash & some rusty bells on waxed cord & some bling in the centre of the bow.
You can also see the 2 lots of lace I've added, also from my stash.

The gorgeous image I printed onto photo quality matt paper & stitched around the edge.

The papers are all Maja Design I Wish collection & I have inked, distressed & sewn all around the edges.
The star shaped snowflakes are actually part of the new Whimsy die, you can use it whole or just use parts of it........its fabulous!! The chipboard image is form my stash & I cannot remember at all where its originally from :-(

Noor Design UK DT Post

Hello everyone, can you believe less than 2 weeks to the jolly fella with a wobbly belly eeeekkkk!!!

Ok so today I thought I would show you 2 cards I've made with non-christmas paper.........in fact I've used paper from an Halloween release....... I love to adapt things to fit other occasions, it gives our brains a stretch lol.
Now my daughter as some of you know is severely disabled & she goes to daycare monday-friday. Her taxi driver & escort on the taxi are the best you could possibly wish for & we buy gifts for them every year. Now the driver & his lovely wife are Gothic lover's......yes scares the bee-jesus out of me but I wanted to make them cards suited to them.....so it had to be black....eeekkkk

This first card is an anniversary card for them......ok their anniversary is not until October so I'm well prepared lol. Actually their anniversary is 31st October....yep halloween they got married lol, but they are goth's so its appropriate for them.
Here is a Black & White Anniversary card........to be honest I know a lot of people that would like this sort of card who are not Goth's lol. I absolutely love this paper from Pion's Halloween release & love that one side is non-halloween........seriously you should buy this paper collection its so so pretty!!!
I forgot to put the sentiment on & took photo's but on the last photo I remembered lol....I took these photo's a week ago though & hadnt quite finished my 2nd card then.

The matting on this card is Pion Design Palette Black l, its lovely to use as matting & matches the Pion paper beautifully. All papers were machine stitched. I also added doilies using a doily die.

The heart is Scrapiniec & I sprayed it white & added a Black Oval Frame to the centre & a resin keyhole from my stash.
The white flower was made with white foamiran, I've kept it basic because of the black & silver centre I added. The black flowers are from my stash & the black organza ribbon is tied into a bow & heat shrunk with my heat gun. I also added in some pearl string there as well.

This is the inside but when I did it I thought......I dont want to cover up those gorgeous clocks by putting somewhere to write a sentiment....... So I had an idea & as I had already glued it all to the inside so had to get a wee bit creative.........if you look closely you can tell by the stitching ;-) Or look at the next piccy lol.
The scalloped bottom bit I fussy cut form the 12x12 'Midnight Spell' sheet & then added it on to make a pocket for some tags to write on.........when the tags are removed they will see those beautiful clocks.
I made 2 tags, one with an Anniversary verse on & added waxed cord. The chain & charms are from my stash, I added chain to mirror the clocks.....I thought it would be a nice added touch. The larger tag I cut the paper from the same sheet & backed it with card to make it stronger.

Have you seen the beautiful lace I've used.......I attached it going up the side so it hid less of the paper....I think it suits it going up the side.

Ok so for my 2nd card I've again used papers from the same collection & again they are for the same people so need to incorporate black............this was more of a challenge for a christmas card...
The paper on this card is all 1 sheet & I did inside as well....I've used 'October Garden'. For the matting behind the image I've used a mixture, the black one is 'Beyond The Grave' & the bottom layer is Pion Design Night Before Christmas 'Just A Peek'.

I added a straw & then added sentiments cut from Night Before Christmas 'Border's' Sheet. The bingo card is from the same collection & I added a Pen Nib to it......love these pen nibs.

I added black & gold lace & then added a bit more black lace from my stash along the top....I tried get in as much black as I could muster lol....
The gold ribbon is from my stash & I made a cabochon for the centre using one of the circles form the Night Before Christmas Tags sheet & then I added a small charm.

As you can see I did add a sentiment to the anniversary card lol....I used the Whimsy Banner die to cut it out.
I have to say both of these cards were out of my comfort zone as I'm not usually one for using black. However I did enjoy doing them & I'm quite happy with how they turned out.....lets hope the recipients like them!!
Hope I've inspired you to use papers for occasions other than they are meant for......halloween papers to make an Anniversary Card & a Christmas Card......so not just for halloween ;-)

Thanks for stopping by, big hugs to you all.
