Crafts & Me Store DT Creation

Hello my lovelies how are you all? Are you ready for the weekend..........my favourite time of the week as I get to spend it with my family.....perfect!!

So I am back today with something I made at the beginning of the week, no its not a card either, yea check me out lol, its about time I stopped being lazy & got out of my rut.

So I made a gift bag........I chopped one of the plain brown gift bags in half (I can make another gift bag out of the other half) to make it a smaller gift bag, perfect for jewellery or anything 6inches or smaller.

I used the top half to make mine so I made a bottom for it & added handles.

Perfect for my favourite 6x6 papers, can you guess what they are??? Yep Prima 'Lyric' I seriously cant get enough of this pad. I even found the chipboards & letters & labels to match woo hoo.

As always all edges have been inked with Walnut distress ink.

I added Prima 'Lyric' flowers on top of  'Fresh Foliage' die, which I covered in 'Shabby Pink' Fran-Tage which you can now also get here. The butterfly is a Prima lyric chipboard. I also added Prima Lyric label underneath a Melissa Frances 'Edwardian Frame'.

I also decorated the back & attached a large tag...........there is certainly plenty of room to write a personal message ;0)

The image is called 'Hannah' & of course is by Hannah Lynn & she is available at Crafts & Me Store as a digi image. I coloured her with Copics.

I lay her onto a frame which also got the Fran-Tage treatment ;0)

I insert eyelets to insert my handles to make it stronger. I painted them with gesso. I also indserted an eyelet on the tag which I than added a key charm, painted up with gesso & a Melissa Frances

 'Vintage Glass Button' which really are soooooooo beautiful IRL.

The lace is Melissa Frances & the pink spotty ribbon is East Of India ribbon, I have quite a bit of East Of India ribbon  which I sadly neglect.........they even have their own storage in my craft room, all other ribbons go somewhere else lol.

Thats it from me, I didnt get to do any blog hopping last night as I had a bad head, think a visit to the optician might be needed urgh......I have a thing about anyone going near my eyes so I kinda get freaked out lol.

I will be round later though after my family have been ;0)

Saturated Canary Challenges DT Card - Celebration...........

...............you know, well what gave it away ;0) Yep what ever you want to celebrate, a new baby, a new home, new job, retirement, birthday...........the list goes on & on.......

I cropped the very pretty 'Easter Dress'.........I know I chopped off the bunny, he's ok though dont worry ;0)

I added Melissa Frances 'Organza Pouf', lurve this stuff ;0) I also added seam binding from my stash.

Flowers are from WOC.

Papers are Maja Designs 'Vintage Spring Basics' 6x6 pad, this pad is gorgeous!! I've inked all the edges as always with Walnut distress ink & decorated inside as well.

I have of course coloured with my Copics & I Fran-taged around her with Shabby Blue & Shabby White. My hubster calls this Framage (framage frais).........he thinks it sounds like a yoghurt lol.

I've used my Punch Around The Page punches & the 2 swirly thingy-ma-bobs at the top, which are also fran-taged are the 'Flourishes' from the new Joy Crafts die '0258', you also get a frame with it. The sentiment is Whimsy 'Vintage Birthday Tabs 1' & cut out with Whimsy Tab 1 die & inked the edges with walnut again.

Midweek Magnolia's DT Card - Oh I do like to be beside the seaside............

......................oh I do like to be beside the sea........ Hello I was getting carried away with my singing there, do ya know I reckon I could be the next Celine Dion...........yea yea ok drowning cats is probably what I'm sounding like but.....lets just pretend eh ;0)

So we have a brand new challenge over at Midweek Magnolia's this week........wait who said I was late then..........no no no the clocks are darn fast!!!!

Anyhoo's like I was saying before the interuption ;0) The challenge theme is..............

WISH YOU WERE HERE

..........which basically means 'Seaside/Beach' theme cards. Now I lurve the sea, good job really as I live about 3 minutes away from it...........its my favourite place to be, well the whole family really!!

Anyhoo's I've been doing a wee bit of masking, I havn't done any for a while.....I think I'm getting lazy..

I've made Edwin & Tilda look tanned..........well they are on their holly jollies ;0) Where they are is just sun, sea & sand...........oops & the odd crab ;0)

The paper is Magnolia 'Ice Cream Plaid' from the Sweet Rainbow collection, I've had this forever but finally used it. I've inked the edges with Walnut DI as always & distressed them slightly with skissors lol.

The stamps I've used are 'Water Lily' Tilda & 'Miami Edwin' both from the Summer Memories collection 2012. The third stamp is Molly Blooms 'Claude The Crab' & I have coloured it all with copics, sky with chalk.

Colours used are....................

Skin on Both - E13, E11, E21, E00, E000, R32, R20

Tilda hair - E29, E27, E23, E21     Edwin Hair - E59, E57, E55, E31, E51

Tilda's Clothes - C5, C3, C1, C00 - R39, R37, W5, W3

Now for the sand & the sea I really did just grab pens & forgot to write down the numbers, but the sand was obviously the E's & the sea was a mixture of B's & BG's lol. Oh & I also used a white gel pen ;0)

The shells I pinched from my bathroom lol, & the rope came from my stash. I also added 'Cheese Cloth' & 'Jute Fabric', the Jute I didnt want it straight because of the scene I was trying to create.

 

I cut 2 coulds out using a Magnolia Doo-Hickey die, inked the edges with Tumbled Glass DI. The sentiment & the Anchor are from a couple of wood block stamps in my stash. The anchor I also coated in UTEE. Do you notice anything about this card? I will tell you.....there are no.........I tell ya NO flowers!!! OMG I think I'm having a breakdown............ lol just kidding. However they will be back tomorrow though for sure lol.

My Crafty Heart DT Card........Doll On A Tag

Hello all my lovely crafty people how are you? I will a HUGE MAHOOSIVE thank you to everyone who left comments about our Rollercoaster week lol it was certainly something I wont ever forget. He really is our little miracle & he's doing really well, he's even on milk now through a nasogastric tube in his nose.

Okie dokie I'm here with My Crafty Heart creation & I've used one of the Mixed Media Prima Dolls we have seen floating around. I have to say though that these are pretty addictive. 

I've used 'Prima Doll 3' & I've used a 'Prima Tag' & decorated it, these tags do come already printed on so you dont have to decorate them but I put the decorated part at the back.

I added a 'Prima Trinket' & made a rolled flower with the new Impression Die & gesso'ed it up....not sure if gesso'ed is a word but its in the 'Victionary'

I cut parts off other sheets of paper from the 'Prima Lyric' pad & layered them up, I sooooooooo love this pad its my favourite, I have 2 & I've just ordered another one ;0)

I coloured this Prima Doll with Copics........

I've made a butterfly using Memory Box 'Isabella' die & 'Pippi' die & added Stickles around the edge. I also added a sentiment 'Tag' from Little Darlings. Added lace & seam binding, both from my stash & made a bow & added a Melissa Frances 'Pearl' to the centre. 

These tags & dolls are really addictive, I did 2 with 2 different dolls, will show you the other one later in the week, its a busy week with DT work lol.
