Midweek Magnolia's Challenge DT Card

Hello everyone, yes I'm still here & more importantly YES I did the Race For Life wooooooo hoooooo I will tell you more about that later & will tell you when I draw a winner of the fantastic candy. Yes I know I'm late but will explain why.

I'm also late for Midweek Magnolia's new challenge so I'm gonna push on & tell you all about it. Ok so the theme this week is...........

EASEL CARDS

............I havn't done one for so long so really enjoyed this one, even though its late lol.

PHOTO HEAVY.........these are so hard to photo, so sorry if some are poop :0(

I have used some of my fave papers.......Maja Design, I cant pick between Pion or Maja Design as I love them both although I love that Maja design do pads & are a thicker quality paper. Papers are from LLC & its the 'Vintage Spring 6x6 pad'.

Here it is as an Easel Card, must make more of these.........I got addicted to them when I first started crafting.

I've used 'Shabby Seam Binding', Blue WOC roses, 'Shabby Rose Organza' trim, 'Lace Zahra', Doily & 2 smaller WOC roses all from Live & Love Crafts.

I've also added Magnolia 'Swirl & Leaf' die, Magnolia 'Sprawling Ferns' die, Kaisercraft Sparklets & Kaisercraft Paper Bloom, all from Bunny Zoes.

Ok now to show the bottom part of the easel card. I added the same lace & trim to the bottom & used the smaller of the frame dies to add a sentiment from Stempelglede's 'Just A Note' stamp set. The frame was layed down on foam pads to create a 3D bit to help the top stand up. The pocket at the back also has a sentiment on it from the stempelglede stamp set, saying 'Made With Love'.

Now as I wanted the bottom to have a nice sentiment I wanted to create a part to write your own message. So I made a pocket to house a tag, which is a Magnolia die from Bunny Zoes. Underneath that is a secret area that I created with a slot to hold money, the top is held to it by hinges & stays closed with velcro.

I couldnt find my white velcro spots so had to use the household black velcro & cut it down, still does the job though lol.

The stamp is Magnolia 'Prima Ballerina Tilda' & I think its one of my most favourite Maggie stamps, I absolutely love it!! I also love it coloured with distress markers/inks so I've coloured her with Distress Markers. I've also stamped a postage stamp with another Magnolia stamp.

The 'Daughter' sentiment is from LOTV & its one of their 'Pretty Grungy Relations' sentiment stamps, although I love ALL LOTV sentiment stamps. The edging was of course created by using Martha Stewart ARTP punch set.

I've been addicted to pinterest these last 2 days as I want to cut my hair off so need style inspiration..........pinterest has all inspiration you could ever need lol.

Candy Time - I Need Your Help

Hello everyone well I'm finally here with a candy. Now its a candy different to any other I have offered so please read all the information. Warning this is a long post '0)

As you know I have lost quite a few family members to cancer. The last 2 people I lost were my dad & my brother, this nearly destroyed me, it literally broke me in 2. Its a pain that is so hard to describe & its a pain that so so many of us have suffered from losing a loved one to this awful disease. 

 Anyway ever since they died I have wanted to do the Race For Life but with bad health ect I never did it. This year however I AM doing it. I went on their website & there is a race on Sunday 20th July which just so happens to be my brothers birthday. I know my health still isnt great, ok its pants but compared to what cancer sufferers go through I have no right to complain or feel sorry for myself. I have the full support of my family, infact my future daughter-In-Law our lovely Megan is supporting me that much she is running it with me, I'm couldnt be more proud :0)

Now of course I want to raise as much as I possibly can for Cancer Research, they do amazing things & cure more & more people of this dreadful disease every single year. However they rely heavily on donations, I already donate monthly to them but I felt that wasnt enough which is why I'm doing this. 

Cancer has no feelings, no morals, it doesnt care what colour you are, what age you are, whether you are rich or poor............it doesnt care about the loved ones that are left behind broken hearted. It does not care about anything, its one mission is to spread & kill. Please help me to help Cancer Research stop this, put an end to Cancer. Help protect future generations, our children, our grandchildren, their children, help protect our loved ones. More & more people are being cured every year but only with the help that comes from people like those at Cancer Research, help me to help them to give cancer a heav'o'...........please I am begging you!!!!!!!

I would like  £2 per entry. If you want to donate more you can of course. TIME TO KICK CANCER UP THE BUTT

Hi my lovelies how are you all?

Well todays the day we go give cancer a good kicking. Todays the day for RACE FOR LIFE. For all those that have donated I really do from the bottom of my heart thank you, you have no idea how much it has meant to me & with every donation & every message I can honestly tell you I have cried. I have cried happy tears & sad ones when I read people have lost loved ones, I know & still feel the heartbreak. Life can be cruel but we have to stand united & try fight against it, try to stop cancer, STOP it taking our loved ones, STOP it taking us!!!!!!!!!!!!

So please please PLEASE help Cancer Research & donate, anything..........I dont care how much it is just please donate something..............you are helping to future protect your loved ones & yourselves.

Ok I'm off, if you dont hear off me again thats because I'm still in the racecourse somewhere or I'm still at the finish line where I collapsed ;0)

So in memory of my dad (my best friend) & my brother & all the other family members I have lost & for all those around the world who have lost, won & who are still fighting...............I am Racing For Life for you mmwah.
