Lovely Hanglar & Sweet Magnolia DT Card

Hello everyone I'm running so late with this, I thought I had done &......well clearly I hadnt so I'm gonna crack on. I have a peek sneak of something sooooooo cute at the bottom of the post though, so why not hang around lol.

Ok so my lovelies we have a brand new challenge over on Lovely Hanglar & Sweet Magnolia & the challenge is.......drum roll please......

USE TRIM

......so it can be lace, ribbon, seam binding, pom pom trim, organza roses....you et the drift dont you ;-)

I had hoped I would have a different project ready but I didnt but thankfully had this one as back-up which I made a few weeks ago.

The image I masked & coloured a couple of months ago so it was nice to finally put it on a card.

The stamps I used are Magnolia 'Tilda With Flower In Her Pocket' from the Country Girl collection & I masked her with Magnolia 'Little Westie With Flower' I left the Westie off though & just used the flowers, again this stamp is from the Country Girl collection. I got these from Swedish House Crafts.

They were coloured with distress ink refills & then I cut the image out using Gummiapan Stitched Circle dies.

I made a tag using the Surfboard tag....I've had this for about a year & finally used it for the first time, shocking I know....I have quite  a few like this, some still in their packets...yes I'm bowing my head in shame right now :-(

The words are from a Tim Holtz pad. I made the tag so it can swivel out to write something on the plain one underneath.

I think the brad is My Minds Eye........maybe...

Of course as always I decorated the inside. The paper is Maja Design Summer Crush & I have machine stitched all layers, added gesso here & there & added Gummiapan Stitched Circle dies to the centre.

I added a paper straw saying Happy Birthday at the top using a Whimsy stamp & matching die.

I also added seam binding & I coloured it myself a long long time ago. Button, doilies & lace are form my stash.

I used Magnolia Doohickey Vintage Box Lacing Coffee at the side & the leaves are also Magnolia dies. Flowers are WOC.

Ok do you want to see my sneak peak of something soooooo darn cute....of course you do, well feast your eyes on my new puppy. Only 2 weeks old at the minute, we met them for the first time on Monday 16th & they will be ready on 1st December.

This is Mummy with her 12 babies, yes 12........OMW how did she do that.....where the heck did she hide them all as she is not that big. There is not one runt & she is a fantastic mum & greeted us so so well. She came out to greet us & we stroked her, she really is beautiful.

Me holding my new baby, isn't he adorable....I cant wait til he comes home. I didnt want to put him down lol & when I got home Poppy sniffed where I had held him for ages.

I went to my best friends house after for a couple of hours & stroked her dogs but Poppy didnt even bother with their scent.....just the pups scent.

We got first pic out of all these babies & I picked this handsome fell, first one to have a collar as well. The lady who owns this gorgeous mum & litter sent me this photo to my phone yesterday, I love him already.

I picked him out just by a photo on Friday, I knew as soon as I saw him amongst all his brothers & sisters. Thankfully I did as the first lady to go on Saturday picked mine & desperately wanted him but the lovely lady said he was reserved & while she was disapointed she picked another gorgeous little  fella.

I do have a name ready for him but I will tell you that when he comes homes.........just incase I change my mind (doubt it though lol)

Ok well its actually 3.48 am & I've not been sleep yet as I have an upset daughter who has not been well for a few days & other reasons why I'm up which I will not bore you with as I think I have babbled waaaaayyyy to much as it is lol.

Noor Design UK DT Cards

Hello everyone hope you all had a fabulous weekend. To all those in the UK hope you enjoyed your long weekend.

I'm here today with my post for Noor Design UK & I'm here with another shabby chic kind of card.....not so much shabby though lol. This time pink.

I've also tried out another new flower die on the foamiran..........OMWord I love it.....

I've also used a new paper pad that is new to Noor Design UK, all links to items used are at the bottom of the post.

The pad is Craft & You 'Bird Song' which is so pretty, so soft & full of pinks, blues & greens....all soft & pastel. Of course I machine stitched around the edges as always.

The flowers I made myself from a new die by Whimsy Stamps & this die set was designed by our lovely crafty buddy Bev Rochester. Its fab, honestly its gonna be my favourite Foamiran die & so so easy. You can either have your Peony Roses closed in or I like mine with the leaves spaced out... 

I used pink & white foamiran for the flowers & used Pentel oil pastels to add colour.....

The leaves I used green & then added colour again with the same oil pastels.....leaves are not one colour. I used pink & white stamens in the centre.

You really should try out these dies they are awesome!!!

I used all 3 sizes on my flowers & did big, medium & small peony flowers. I also used the leaf die that came with it.

What is also fabulous is they make a wee little hole in the centre of each flower to put your stamens through.......I didnt think this would make much difference but seriously soooooo much easier.

I've been digging through my Scrapiniec & added bits of that, the bird is form my stash. I also cut a piece of lace off & scrunched it up to make another flower at the top next to the larger peony flower.

The Antique Bronze Leaf Swirl peeking out form the bottom flowers I gave the ivory frantage treatment to soften the bronze but I wiped some off before heating it so I still had some bronze peeking through.

Noor Design UK DT Card

Hello everyone, how are you all?

I'm here today with my DT card for Noor Design Uk, I was hoping to show you 2 male cards but due to family being poorly, first my granddaughter Payton came down with a viral infection last Fridy & then its got passed around, now my grandson has it, Natalie has it & hubster has it....only he's had sickness with it too. Even my poor dog was sick as well yesterday...think they are worried I will get bored lol.

Luckily I made this card about 2 weeks ago ready for the stamp & that got put on last week so I will show you that one instead....thank goodness for back ups lol.

I have used another of the fabulous Dreamerland Crafts stamps.........omg I'm addicted to these & they are so enjoyable to colour. I have stamped this gorgeous stamp called 'A Friendship Hug' onto Fabriano& coloured her with distress ink refills & added glitter to the flower in her hair.

I have coloured up a few of these....between these & my Maggies I feel like a happy 6 year old girl colouring away lol.

I have made an easel card, it seems soooo long since I've made one, I think its been a couple of months.

I used 1 sheet of Pion Design 'Theodore & Bella' called 'Waiting To Play' 6x6. The top left corner I saw the border & decided to cut that off & use that as the main part of the bottom layer & mounted it onto foam pads to make it 3D & help the top card stand up.

I added pearl string. lace & a die-cut & 2 seam binding bows with a bit of bling & that was the bottom..... However I did not want to then cover up that pretty paper to then have to add somewhere to write a message..........

So I did this.......

As there was 1 square of 6x6 left I used that to decorate the inside & make a pocket to put tags in.

I added pearl string to compliment all the card.

I added tag with a LOTV Friend Recipe stamped onto it & another Joy Crafts tag which I left plain to write a message on.........& no pretty paper gets hidden ;-)

All of the flowers I have made myself using foamiran. I've used Ivory foamiran for the large flower & for the medium flower I have used white & the very small ones I've used Ivory again. I used Lime Green for the leaves & for the centres....the centres I also added red oil pastel on the ends to give it more colour & definition. I also added Viva Decor Ice Effect to give it a sparkly effect in the centre.

They look soooooo much better in real life & sparkle better :-(

Can you see the difference of the colours of the flowers......they have both have the same colour oil pastels added & because the large one is Ivory the colour is different..........guess who is going to by lots more Ivory Foamiran now lol. I love the softer feel to it.

I mahcine stitched all around the papers.

Added another gorgeous row of pearls along the top of the 2nd layer on the main part of the card,those pearls are my favourite. I did kind of go pearl mad with this card but they go so well with this pretty paper. Even the tones in the bling & the key go beautifully with the tones of the papers.
