Bit Of Alteration For Live & Love Crafts

Hello everyone how are you all? Vicky here today with a wee bit a of alteration for you.
Now as you know Sandra set the theme to use something new. Well as soon as I saw the challenge I had 2 idea's, both of them involved using new lace............mmmmm yummy.
This is my first idea.
I've altered a glass bottle for my daughter's bedroom, I lurve shabby chic & these are perfect for her dressing table.
I've been wanting to do one of these for soooooooo long, ever since I first saw one on Pinterest probably about a year ago..........maybe more lol.
Below is how the bottle used to look  before I got my hands on them.
The bottles are vintage chemist bottles, these are just 3 of them but I do have quite a few in all different sizes.

I absolutely LOVE this sentiment from Pion Design, its perfect & true. Underneath there is a small doily & underneath there layers of CheeseCloth. I attached pearl string around the edge of the sentiment.

Now this is one of the beautiful new laces Sandy has gotten in, this is called 'Lace Marie Therese'. this is a wide lace but I really wanted it on this bottle. So I attached it upside down then folded down the bottom half & attached Pearls to each drop in the lace. The top half is not fastened down so there is movement in it when the bottle is moved.

At the top is another new lace, all links will of course be at the bottom of this post. You can just see the CheeseCloth peeking out there. Added a resin lock & attached a small rosebud in it. The key I added a large-ish pearl to it, the same as on the bottom lace.

This is the back of the bottle as I didnt want forget that ;-). The image is again Pion & I did the same as I did to the front.

I added a few flowers but just a few & popped in some into the bottle.
I have to say I had so much fun doing these, I've got another one completely finished & 3 others started lol. It was great to do something different & of course its definately shabby chic.

Well thats it from me. Take a look over at Live & Love Crafts, Sandy stocks such beautiful products, the best stuff to inspire us to create.

I have a poorly daughter so this post is scheduled, slept in the living room last night as Natalie was too poorly go to bed.........plus we worry if we are not in the same room as her when she is ill.
She is poorly with her chest, fingers crossed her inhaler helps in the next few days, she suffers really bad usually bless her :-(

Thanks for stopping by, lotsa hugs Vicky

Friendship

Hello everyone, how are we all today?
I have a bag to show you today that I have decorated, I do lurve to do these bags & I've always got them in my stash.
I have been asked a few times where I get mine from & I get them from Amazon, I get these & also these. Of course there are quite a few different sizes.

Ok so my bag today features a Prima Doll stamp, I've neglected these for ages, so thought it was time they came out of their box ;-)
I stamped just the main body without the legs for this bag & coloured her with distress re-inkers & markers.

This is the back of the bag, I've kept it quite simple at the back focusing on the awesome sentiment. The sentiment is of course LOTV ' Friendship Quotables'.

Have you seen the scrummy laces I've used. The bottom one is a new one at LLC, its Lace 'Marie Therese 85mm' in Dusky Pink.........soooooooo gorgeous. The top one is 'Cluny Lace with Threaded Ribbon 30mm'.

I've added scraps of lace to a hanger charm. The seam binding is from my stash. The pearls are Melissa Frances.

The papers I've used are Maja Design Coffe In The Arbour 'Raspberry Lemonade 12x12' & the top layer is the same brand but sheets from the Coffee In The Arbour 6x6 pad. All have been inked with Pumice Stone & machine stitched. I've used WOC flowers & Kort & Godt Rolled Roses, all flowers except centre one are from here at LLC. The chipboard flower at the back is from my stash.

Well thats it form me I've got Natalie's Occupational Therapist coming at 10 this morning to measure her bed for a new mattress. She is crying all hours of the night so we are going to try an Airflow Mattress......fingers crossed it works.
Then at 12 I'm at the gym with my youngest son as he is at work at 4 so we going early today.

Ok enough of my babble, thank you so much for stopping by. See you all soon my lovelies.
Lotsa hugs Vicky xxx

Deep Ocean Challenge DT Card and DT Call

Hello everyone how are you all?
Well its time for a new challenge over at Deep Ocean & this fortnight thew theme is.....
WINTER DREAMS
..........so it could be a christmas card or a winter birthday card. If you want another idea you could also make winter thank you cards for those lovely christmas pressies you got ;0)
I decided to do a Christmas Card, I'm determined to be super organised this christmas.....fingers crossed lol.
So I've made this into a shabby chic kinda crimbo card ;-)

I have added gorgeous lace from LLC, its called 'Lace Constance' & its yummy scrummy ;0) I added a strip of corrugated card across the the middle which has had the 'Snowtex' treatment.

The paper I've used is Pion 'Church 12x12' & I've used both sides. I've distressed the edges, inked them & machine sewn them as well.
These are now discontinued so grab them at Live & Love Crafts while you can.
So I've added Marianne Doily die & covered it with snowtex. The silky ribbon is from my stash, as is the button in the centre. The white bells are actually from the christmas crackers we had this year, just added a wee bit of Gesso to them for texture.

The flowers are from LLC. The postcard is from Maja Design Vintage Frost Basics 'Christmas Diecuts'.

The image is from Maja Design A Gift For You 6x6 pad. The window is a Marianne die, the tree & fence are Magnolia Doo-Hickey dies. The sentiment tag is of course LOTV.

Ok well thats it for me I'm writing this post whilst cooking a herby chicken dinner, I've invited hubsters brother over for tea today. So it will be scheduled.

Oooh I nearly forgot, we have a DT Call over at Deep Ocean Challenges, so if you would like to join our team pop on over to see the details. I have to say personally that these ladies & gentleman are awesome to work with & so friendly......love em to bits ;0)

Thanks so much for stopping by lovelies, take care.
Big hugs Vicky xxxxxxxxx
