Sagen Winter

Hello everyone I'm running very late today I'm so sorry.
As some of you know Sandy has challenged us this week to use Christmas Leftovers, well I dont need an excuse to do anything regarding christmas or winter.....I live & love it ;-)
WARNING piccy heavy ;-)
Sandy got some gorgeous Sagen Napkins in before Christmas & I couldn't resist buying some, they are soooooo gorgeous & so many designs to choose from. Excellent quality I might add & I will be getting more.

So I decided to make a Nakin box which holds Teabags as well. There is a tutorial on the internet somewhere but I wanted to show the design of the napkin off in the centre & make a lid so they dont get dusty....... So I made my own, I will be doing a tutorial in the next week or 2 for this.

This is the back of it, I used the same papers for all over, the brown is the reverse side to this Pion paper.

Sorry about some of the pics, the centre actually has plastic so the light keeps reflecting off it. Plus the napkins are still in there packet as well lol.
The 'Days Of Winter' sentiment here I cut from the bottom of a Pion Christmas sheet.
Here are the gorgeous Sagen Napkins. The 'Winter' die is a Joy Crafts die from Tracy's Noor Design shop here in the UK. Link is in my sidebar peeps.

This is what the top of the box looks like. I added flowers, berries, fir cones, resin angel & a Star hatpin.........all also got the Gesso treatment.

Finally last piccy lol. In theory I would have decorated this to match the teabags, however I had already started when hubster popped to Asda to get these..........the smell is delicious that comes from them, even while they are in their packet.

Well I hope you like my project today, a lot of it was very rushed.......hopefully I will have more time with my next one lol.

Enjoy your weekend. Sandy has these Napkins on sale right now over at Live & Love Crafts, she has also added some gorgeous new Laces.........go on pop on over for that New Year treat for yourselves. Psst........it also keeps her busy & out of mischief but sssshhhh dont tell her I said that ;-)

Lotsa hugs Vicky xxxxxxxxxx

A CAS Christmas Card

Hello all you lovely jubbly people out there, how you all doing? Those who need hugs right now I'm sending MAHOOSIVE ones just for you ;-)
Ok so I have  CAS christmas card that I made for our postie-man, we really do have the best postman I think, nothing is ever too much trouble for him, he's awesome!
So I made a CAS card so I could put him his christmas tip in & wish him all the very best.

Now please bear with the piccies as some were hard to take.........I did try to capture the sparkle.
Ok so the paper I used I think is MME, but I cant truly remember :-(

The 'Snowflake' is a Spellbinders die which I've had...........well since this one was released, when ever that was lol.

Sorry about this pic it was done under different lighting conditions, I tried a few diff ones to capture the sparlkiness of this card.
Hopefully you can see the sparkle a wee bit better on this one. IRL it really was very sparkly & pretty, our postie loved it!!

The writing on the snowflake is from a Magnolia stamp which is actually a Christmas Carol 'Silent Night, Holy Night'. The glitter that is all over the snowflake is Tim Holtz 'Clear Rock Candy' Dry Glitter.
The sentiment is LOTV.

The red pearls I had didnt match the paper & that bugged me so I got a copic & coloured a cream pearl to match the paper............hey presto perfect match ;-)

Will be round later to visit you, been busy today having a good clean & sort out of bedrooms so off now to get some crafty time in.........Natalie permitting me lol.

Thank you soooooooo very much for your comments, they really do make me smile, each & every one does.
Take care lovelies & thanks for stopping by mmwah  xxxxx

Although this was made in 2014 I'm only now showing it on my blog. I have a couple of crimbo cards I havn't shown yet lol.

Made With Love

Hello all you lovely peeps, how are you all doing?
I started the back the gym this week with my 2 sons, I havnt been for quite a while tbh. The first morning after when I got out of my bed, as my body stood up, I heard a THUD!! Yep my butt just hit the floor it was that sore, as were my arms too. It felt good though, I've missed the weights..........my resolution is to get fit & healthy this year........ ;-)
Okie doke so today I have a card I made suitable for a daughter..........
Of course as its for a daughter I just had to use Pion's My Precious Daughter papers. The bottom sheet is 'Pansy 12x12' & the top sheet is 'My Princess 12x12'. Both have been machine stitched & edges inked with walnut distress ink.

The butterflies I cut from the same paper collection, these are from the 'Borders 12x12' sheet. I cut them out & covered them with 'Crackle Accents'.

As always inside is decorated to compliment the front. I've used Go-Kreate dies for the shape of the card.

I added a 'Key Charm' with some 'Natural Hemp' tied through it. I've added 'Lace Constance' & 'Pearl Lace' both from Live & Love Crafts. The seam binding is from my stash & I added small 'Metal Roses' to the centre of each bow on the tags.

The image is of course Saturated Canary & this one is 'Cerridwen', though I cant find her in the shop anymore. I coloured her with distress markers. The sentiment 'Made With Love' is a Stempelglede stamp.

This shows the tags out of the 'Canvas Mini Bag', I've used the same Stempelglede stamp on the tags. Most of the flowers are from Live & Love Crafts, as is the metal corner.

Sandy has added some beautiful new lace to her store, pop on over to look at them..........they really are soooooooooo gorgeous.

Thanks for stopping by it means a lot. Take care my lovelies.
Lotsa hugs Vicky xxxxxx

My Son's Birthday Card

Hello everyone, thank you so much for your lovely messages. I thought I would show you the card I made for my eldest son's birthday. It was on New Years Eve & he was 24.........wow time really does go too fast.........we have to saviour every single minute!!
I decided to go with a verse instead of a stamped image & searched the internet until I found one........gave me a really bad head but he's worth it!!
The papers are Maja Design Vintage Autumn Basics 6x6 pad. I love that this pad is great for female or male.

I cut the wording from the top sheet & layered it onto Navy card & made it into a flag, attached a button at one end with twine.
It reads 'A time forever etched in our hearts and memories'.

Did the same with the bottom but instead attached a Motorbike charm. Ok so why is my darn camera lying to you & saying Royal Blue........wat the hell!!!!!!! Its navy......trust me ;-)
This flag read 'Memories are timeless treasures of the heart'.

This is the verse I found on the internet & then wrote it out using a program on my laptop & printed it out. I love this verse & was perfect for my son.

This is the inside of the card & I did the same with the flags & wrote a smaller verse for inside the card.
My family are my world but they are not just my family.........we are all best friends & that is the best part ;-)

I cut out a tag from the same paper collection, added the letters spelling 'SON'. The numbers '24' I cut out using a Die-Namics die

I added 'Burlap Trim' across the centre, even male cards need different textures & some sort of ribbon/lace/trim lol. The 'Clock' charm is from my stash & I added Prima Vax Cord to it.

I find male cards hard but I plan to do more of them this year, I have quite a few plans this year venturing outside my normal cards, so watch this space lol.
Thankfully my son loved the card, my granddaughter also loved her card & she had a fabulous day bless her & loved it all.

Anyhoo's I'm off now to Ben & Megan's, family day.........my favourite days of all.
Thank you for stopping by it really means a lot.
Take care & enjoy the rest of your weekend.
Lotsa hugs Vicky xxxxxxxxxxxxx
