Have A Great Birthday

Helllooooo there everyone how are you all? Well someone must have heard me complainging about the weather yesterday as today is such a beautiful day here by the sea.

Well I can finally show you a card with a new stamp brand, new for me. Now if I'm ever inspired by anyone to try a certainstamp or style I will give credit to that person.
This time I'm not sure wether to give credit or blame that person for helping me spend lots of money as I have another 8 of these stamps on their way & I know I will want more lol.....not that I need help spending my money lol.
I had seen these stamps & thought they were sooo pretty, they had such an innocence about them & then I saw the lovely talented Gina use some on her cards.......yep that was the stamp in the basket lol.

This is a card I made early last week & is a commisioned card that was requested with this stamp.
Look at that image isn't it fabulous, I think I'm gonna want them all!!
The card shape was made with a Go-Kreate die & the papers are all Maja Design Vintage Romance, sheets used are 'Romance Engagement' both sides & 'Romance Wedding Day'.
All layers were machine sewn around the edge.

I've added Doilies from my stash underneath.
A Bark Heart with added gesso & a little blossom, all form Noor Design UK.

So the stamp is by Dreamerland Crafts & this one is called 'Stretching Out' & I stamped the image onto Fabriano watercolour paper & coloured it with distress ink refills.
I added pearl dots around the image using a pearl pen & added stickles to the bunny's ears & the lacey bits on her dress.
I also added some cut out grass using a magnolia die from Volume 8 club kit......I really need to start digging out more unused dies.

As always (unless for a show) I decorate dinside to compliment the front.
The double bow is made from seam binding I dyed myself a while ago & added some bling to the centre.
The sentiment is an old wooden one in my stash. The heart its stamped on is a Magnolia die, I think its a Tea Label Shapes die & then I added another heart from a Little Darlings die.

Added WOC flowers & the leaves & swirl underneath are Magnolia dies. In the pocket I added a tag with a sentiment form an old rubber stamp from LOTV which is the Birthday Recipe.

You can of course pre-order LOTS of these stamps from Noor Design UK they are on their way to the store s I type lol. There are new & older ones that Tracey has ordered as well. Pop along see these beauties for yourself........if I were you I would be quick before I go order lots more lol.

Well another busy day for me so I'm gonna move my butt now & will catch up with you later.

Thanks for stopping by, big hugs to all

Maja Design Mood Board

Hello there everyone how are you all? Last week or 2 weather had got pretty mild for winter but these last couple of days I'm absolutely freezing :-(

Anyhoo you havnt come for a weather report have you or have you because I reckon I could do a decent-ish weather impersonator lol.
Ok just kidding I'm gonna show you a card really lol. Now yesterday I was going to show you a new stamp brand, new for me. Erm well you will have to wait til tomorrow as although its in my drafts I completely forgot its the last day for Maja Design Mood Board & I sooooo want to enter you know I lurve their papers..........I think I tell you everytime I use them lol.
So this is there Mood Board this month....
MajaDesign Mood Board March 2017
..........isn't it pretty. I love the colours yet rarely use these colours together. My nan always said 'Blue & green should never be seen unless something is in between'........so I did ;-)
I have used papers from 2 collections, both blue papers are from Vintage Romance, top layer is 'Wedding Day' & bottom layer is 'Forget Me Knot'. The middle layer is from their latest relese Sofiero.....oh Sofiero is sooooo darn pretty I'm already going to buy another set....no I'm not running low but the sheer panic if I did would be unbearable ;-)
Ok so the green sheet is 'The Elegant Wine House' I also used this sheet for the leaves.

Ok now as my nan said to put something in between....so I did. So in between the bottom blue & the green I added doilies to either side & in between the green & the top layer of blue I added CheeseCloth........I always listened to my Nan <3 nbsp="" p="">
Made 2 bows, 1 with cheesecloth & one with shabby seam binding & then added this gorgeous pearl bling to the centre. I've had this for ages & I think it was originally from LLC, isn't it gorgeous!!

I added lots of gorgeous WOC flowers from Noor Design UK. The leaves were made with Rosy Owl Elegant Leaves die. The bird is form my stash.

As always I decorated inside. The card shape was made with a Go-Kreate die & I inked all the paper edges with pumice stone before very lighlty distressing them & machine sewing all layers.
The top 2 layers were cut with Fantasy Stitched Rectangles die.
The chipboard is Wycinanka.

Well thats from me I have such a busy day today.
Thank you sooooo much for stopping by & listening to me babble on lol. You all totally rock!!

Lotsa hugs Vicky xxx

Deep Ocean Challenges DT Card

Hello again everyone I'm here again today with my 2nd DT card this time for Deep Ocean challenges.
If you want to see my Tutorial Tuesday post for Noor Design UK then scroll down or click here.

So the new challenge this fortnight is one I loved.......
FLOWERS EVERYWHERE
..........flowers flowers everywhere.......in my garden or in my hair lol. Yeah ok I love flowers but no need for silliness lol.....weeeeeelllll maybe just a little lol.

Ok I made this card at the weekend & sooooo enjoyed making it, it uses all my favourite things, Maja Design, pastel colours & shabby chic..........what more is there lol.
.....oh yes & new dies, whats more is new Fantasy dies from Noor Design UK.....oh my I love them all & must have more lol.
The shape of the card was made using a Go-Kreate die.........at least I think it is as when I went ot find the die I cannot find it on their site ;-/
One of the new Fantasy dies I've used is the 'Magic Lace' die going along the side........its a long die so the bits I cut off I added one part to the top & another to the other side.....you can just see them peeking out under the tulle.

All flowers are WOC & I've added pomegranate apples in there & a bow made with organza ribbon & heated up so it shriveled a bit.
Just under the seam binding bow I've used another Fantasy die called 'On The Wings Of Love'.....you get 2 dies in this set a Heart which I've also used & the other die is a Wing which is what I've used down here at the bottom.

The beautiful image I cut from the 'Ephemera' sheet & then cut it out using Fantsy Stitched Rectangles die, the 2 layers underneath I also cut out using a larger fantasy stitched dies & then added my own stitching to them also.

Here are more flowers, organza ribbon & Fansy Dies....the heart is at the bottom & the piece cut off the border die is peeking out at the top.
I also added a Butterfly from my stash. The leaves were cut out using a Magnolia die that came with Singapore Tilda from the Stamp & Cutz collection.....yep another stamp I still havnt inked :-(

So the gorgeous pretty papers are of course Sofiero by Maja Design & I've used 'The Magnificient Flowerstreet''Exuberance Of Flowers In Bloom' & for the leaves I've used 'The Elegant Winehouse'. I've only very slightly distressed them & machine sewn around all the edges & as always decorated inside to compliment the front.
We have bows made with seam binding form my stash & a charm from my stash. The bling in the centre is the gorgeous Button Lauren Pink from Noor Design UK.

Come back tomorrow as I have a card made using a fabulous new brand.......new for me that is....pop back to see it tomorrow ;-)

Thanks for stopping by, hope you will join us for our flower challenge this fortnight....,can be pictures of flowers if you want just like the fabulous talented Gretha has doen with her card...pop over to Deep Ocean to check it out as well as all my other teamies creations ;-)

Tutorial Tuesday At Noor Design UK

Hello everyone how are you all?I am typing this up just after I've come back from the gym & I'm soooo sore.....I'm certain now my sons really are trying to kill me!! lol.

Ok so its Tutorial Tuesday over at Noor Design UK & this one is a requested one.
I was asked to do a tutorial on a Crealies die, its Crealies die Create A Card No.1
You can go onto you tube & watch all the Crealies video's on their dies, the one I watched was not in english & I wanted to see if there was a simpler way.
Now this is VERY photo heavy so grab yourslef a cuppa & a biscuit or 2. Hopefully the tutorial will make sense to you.........the end result certainly looks nice.
Ok so the basic tools you need are as follows....
A4 or 12x12 Cardstock
Designer Paper of the same size (A4/12x12)
Scissors
Pencil, eraser & ruler
Glue
Masking Tape
Die Cutting Machine

To use this die you also need to go to the Crealies website here & download the template & instructions here. You will need to print off the template.

Now for some reason my printer would not print the whole template out, it did 95% of it but you see the dotted lines going around it....well it missed off 2 lines. So as it printed off the corner of the dots I used my ruler & drew the lines in that were missing. These are just there to cut around........

So after you have cut around the dotted lines you then put the template onto your cardstock to draw around...........
...........or you can just measure & cut the sizes wrote here....
142mm x 272mm then cut it out.

You then do the same with your designer paper. I did it this way as I didnt want a band a white card around the edge. I think it looks better if the paper goes to the edge.

Now the first time I cut this out I cut out first the cardstock, then used the die. I then cut the paper & then used the die. Problem was if you are not exact the paper does not marry up properly to the cardstock...........you can just below the watermark where it was wrong & did not align ;-(
So I decided to try it a different way.........this was after I got out of my huff from ruining Maja Design paper lol.

First though attach sticky tape to the top & the underneath of the Crealies die. The photo above shows the tape on top, there is also tape underneath in the same place. The tape is to keep things in place.
So you get the die & make sure the cutting edge is facing up & you align it up with the shape on the template........(the same shape is on the right side but in reverse).

Once the die is in place you then line up your cardstock on top & then line up your designer paper on top of that. Using masking tape I taped the corners so they didnt move whilst die-cutting.
The tape on the die keeps the cardstock in place...........but you must align the cardstock up with the template underneath.
Then run it through your die-cutting machine. Make sure your machine is wide enough for this.
Once cut this is what they will both look like, the cuts will be in exactly the same place. If when you peel the tape off your cardstock it takes some of the card do not worry as the paper will cover it & then you will also be putting something else there later on as well anyway.........so all will be hidden.

Now leaving the tape on the left side attach more tape to your die underneath & do exactly the same for the right side as you did with the left. Alinging the die with the shape on the template.

Then put the cardstock on top again, aligning it with the template underneath. The firstpart that was cut out you can align with the shape on the template & the tape you left there will keep the cardstock in place once again.

Then do the same with the designer paper, again taping down the corners so nothing moves. You want everything to stay in place whilst it is going through the die-cutting machine.

After you have run it through the die cutting machine, line both the cardstock & the paper up against the template.
You will see it says 'platform' along the top & in the centre there is a dotted line. With your ruler draw a line going down the centre & then score a valley fold, making sure you run your scoring tool up & down a few times to score through the cardstock & onto the paper.

On the middle parts of each side (just below my watermark) there is a line in the centre that the die made, you now need to score these in a mountain fold. Again running the tool up & down to go through cardstock & paper.

This is what it should look like, the centre I did the valley fold as that's where the card will fold in half & then in each window you score a mountain fold.

Next apply wet glue all over the cardstock. Wet glue is the best thing to use as it allows movement while you are getting it in the exact place it needs to be.
With your designer paper, starting in the centre at the fold rub down one side of the paper to the cardstock..........
......then rub down the right side onto the cardstock, aligning the paper up with the card below.

Once dry I then went over all my folds again.
Then on one side of the mountain fold in the window apply wet glue, the place where my watermark is shows you where to apply the glue. You are putting the glue on the shorter part.

Then attach the image you want to place there. Make sure this is no bigger than that window to allow it to move when opening & closing the card.

Do the same on both side & wait til they dry.
You can see on the left photo that the image or sentiment you put there is only going on one side of that mountan fold you created. Lie it flat while it dries.
Once dry you can now decorate as you wish.

Here is the finished card. I love the look of this I think its so pretty, it would be fab to use with stamped images, digi images, nice sentiments or even photo's.

This is a photo of what is in each window. I made a frame using one of my favourite dies, yes the LDRS Fancy Squares. I used the large & small die & using them together to cut out a frame.
I added pearl dots using a pearl pen & also some pearl trim.

Below is the links to items used which are all from Noor Design UK. Why not pop on over to see the other Crealies dies, why not try one yourself. If you try this one leave a comment on my blog & I will pop over to look & leave you a comment so you know I've been. I would love to see more of these cards made using this die.

Ok thats it, if you have made it this far then well done...........if you understand my tutorial then even better lol.
Thanks for sticking with me in this looooong post, you all totally rock mmwah.

Lotsa hugs Vicky xxx
