Season's Greeting's

Hello everyone how are you all doing? I have a poorly daughter at the minute, think she's picked a sickness bug up. My grand-daughter has also had it & has been poorly this week also. Its this cold weather blowing all the germs around.

Anyway I'm here today with the 2nd card I made from the First Editions Silent Night 8x8 pad.
Now if I get inspiration or an idea from somewhere I always give credit, its the right thing to do & this inspiration came from a very talented lady.....will tell you at the end or you wont come back once you see her creations....you may even know who I mean ;-)
Again I've distressed the edges & machine stitched them. The top layer I popped onto foam pads then attached onto the bottom layer.

The poinsettia is made up with papers from the same pad & made using the Creative Expressions Classic Poinsettia die, I added Marianne Holly die-cuts & some pomegranate apples from Noor Design UK. The bling in the centre is from my stash.

Under the top layer I added Scrapiniec 'Doily Lace Border' set, I inked the edges with Pumice Stone distress ink. In between I added blue gems from my stash.
Senitment is LOTV.

The bauble is made from 2 Scrapiniec sets,  the top layer from Scrapiniec Tinsel Christmas set which I sprayed with white paint. The bottom layer is from the Scrapiniec Baubles Full set which I left plain & just inked the edges with Pumice Stone. Then added 2 blue gems from my stash & tied some cord through the eyelet into a bow.

Inside is decorated to compliment the front as always. Amongst the poinsettia I also added pearl string & a seam binding bow both you can get from Noor Design UK.

Ok I will tell you the lady that gave me inspiration for this, although I will say its no where near as beautiful as what she does........maybe one day though lol. Click here to go to her blog.
It was nice to try something different I've been trying a few different things lately, including something I designed & thought of.....stay tuned lol.

Thanks for stopping by

Merry Christmas

Hello everyone how are you all? Is it just me or has it turned incredibly cold since we've approached November..........OMGoodness winter is coming for sure!!

Ok so I'm here to show you a card that's a little different to my normal type but I do like to change it up at times lol..... I made 2 cards one night using this pad, here is the first one.
The pad I've used is First Edition 'Silent Night' 8x8 pad, I've distressed all the edges & machine stitched as well.

Santa & his reindeers are Scrapiniec Chipboard from Noor Design UK & I covered them with lashings of glitter. I added clear gems here & there.

I decorated inside to compliment the front. The trees are a LLLC die & I cut it out twice for the inside.

This shows you the layers & depth of the trees. I cut the trees out 3 times in white card & twice in Maja Design 'I Wish For Peace & Joy' & gave it all lashings & lashings of glitter.........its very sparkly. The glitter also tones down the green of the Maja paper so it blends in better.

At the bottom I added a banner with the scrap paper left over from the bottom sheet & added Scrapiniec 'Merry Christmas' which I sprayed with white spray paint.
The lamp-post is a LLLC die & the gold is from Marianne Design Gold Glitter paper.

I will show you the 2nd card I made from this pad another day.
Have you noticed anything...........yep no lace & no flowers!!! Ok I need lie down now ;-)

Thank you for stopping by
Lotsa hugs Vicky xxx

Noor Design UK DT Card - Trio Love Set

Hello everyone how are you all?
Today I'm showing you a set that I made for an anniversary or wedding or just to tell some one you love them.
This is a Trio Love Set.......warning VERY photo heavy!!
To decorate this whole set I just used 2 sheets of Maja Design Vintage Romance paper, links to all items used will be at the bottom of this post....so why not grab a cuppa ;-)

I've made this set so either someone could give to a couple for anniversary/wedding or a loving male could give it to his partner/wife.....
First we have the card using lots of fabulous items from Noor Design UK of course...
Seam Binding bow with a Pearl centre, double row pearl along the top, a gorgeous array of flowers & Scrapiniec.....

The image I fussy cut from the Maja Design sheet 'Love Is In The Air' & placed it so the top layer saying 'Love' was just above the image.

Have you seen this beautiful lace, omgoodness it really is divine!! I also added a few roses & a Pen Nib & gave everything the gesso treatment.

As always I decorated inside to compliment the front......the Heart Background paper which is 'Love Story' is the base for every item.
In the corner I've added lots of flowers, meadow spray & paper art Leaves which you can just see peeking out.
Next up we have the box for the card go in. This is a box from Tracy's shop, I got these before Tracy even had Noor Design. Yes I can make my own boxes & I do but I'm terrible for forgetting....these are perfect as all the work is done, all you have to do is glue the corners......
Whats fantastic about these boxes is the thickness & quality of the card used!!!

So I decorated it with the same base sheet as the card, added a border cut from one of the sheets at the top, a Little Darlings Fancy Rectangle die, flowers, a Postage Stamp from the same paper collection.

I also added a straw cut in half, angling the ends & tied together using cord, now the pattern was a bit too harsh for this paper so I toned it down by painting it with gesso also adding Crackle Paste here & there....perfect :-) I added a Bark Heart also with the gesso effect. I also made a cabochon, I use another postage image from the 6x6 pad & added a self adhesive domed Cabochon sticker to the top. Underneath I tucked in a little bow made with seam binding.
Next up we have a small gift bag, perfect for a piece of jewellery........or other small precious gift.

I made a little tag there using a bit of the border that Maja Design puts on all their 12x12 sheets, I attached another in a different colour on the reverse.....so it says the same regardless of which way its facing.
I cut the bit off, glued them together, wrong sides facing & attached eyelets & then threaded some wax cord through & tied it to the handle........it says 'Love Is In The Air'.

Here I have used an image from the Ephemera sheet, I love this image, I love the softness of it as well. I used Little Darlings Fancy Rectangles (to match the box) to cut the image out & then the cardstock its mounted to..........
You can also see the reverse of the tag I made. I added more of the Double Row Pearls & just a few flowers & more gesso & crackle paste.

To match the box I added straws cut in half & painted with gesso & touches of crackle paste again, seam binding, waxed cord & some gorgeous bling.

So there is my Trio Love Set. I really enjoyed making this set & hope I've inspired you a little. It was good to see how far 2 12x12 sheets would go.........I even have a bit left lol.

Thank you so much for stopping by, it means a lot ;-)
Take care.
Lotsa hugs Vicky xxx

All About Magnolia DT Post

Hello again everyone, bet you didnt expect me again today....well in all honesty me neither lol.
I totally forgot what day it is & so I'm running a wee bit late.....just a little bit though ;-)
If you want to see my first post today scroll down or click here.

So its time for a new challenge over at All About Magnolia & the challenge this month is.......
ALL ABOUT THE HOLY NIGHT
........easy really isn't it & there are fabulous prizes on offer.

Papers I've used are Maja Design Gift For you 6x6 pad, all the edges have been inked with pumice stone & machine stitched.

Added a mini Kraft Bag for put tags inside.

The Magnolia stamp I've used is 'Peaceful Tilda' from the Winter Wonderland Collection 2013, I was going to use a Christmas text behind it but then I had a look to see what I did last time (see here) I used this stamp....well thats what I did then lol.
So I've used one of my new Woodware stamps I recently got as I love these b& thought the verse was perfect for this challenge.
Tilda was coloured with distress inks, I coloured her a couple of weeks ago so cant remember the colours. I added stickles to her candle & halo.
The tag text was stamped & heat embossed with WOW White.

The tags I cut from a 12 x 12 sheet from the same collection........I will need buy these again when I've ran out, 12 x 12 & 6x6 I love this collection.
The wax cord & the hemp string on the large tag are from Noor Design UK.

Inside is of course decorated to compliment the front. I've added lace from my stash. Dies used are LLLC for the border die & Magnolia Mistletoe & Snowflake dies. I've also used Magnolia Bride Bow Die which you can get form Noor Design UK, be quick as I think there may only be 1 left!!
Added few flowers, a pine cone & a bow made with white seam binding.

Well thats it from me I will be back tomorrow with my Noor Design UK DT Card which isn't christmas related at all ;-)

Til then tatty bye lovelies & thank you for stopping by.
Lotsa hugs Vicky xxx
