Scooter Boy..............Also A Sneak Peek!!!!!!

Good evening all, altho I really should say morning again its early hours!!! Welcome to my blog to my new followers I still get so excited when I get new big hugs to you <>
Tonights card is a card for my son Ben, he is 20 years old tomorrow, New Years Eve. I cant believe how old he is & yet it doesn't seem that long ago when they were rushing me to theatre to get him out cus his heart was it was an emergency cesarean & he weighed in at 4 & 1/2 lbs & was rushed to special care & he is 20 years old driving & is an apprentice plumber. I love him to bits & I am sooooo proud of him & he will always be my baby.....all my kids are lol. SSSSHHHH dont tell 'em!!
So tonight is using another crimbo stamp apparently my hubby saw this at Funky Kits & brought it cus he thought it was cool lol. This card is from his sister Natalie & even tho we have brought Ben a car we also brought him his first moped at 17 & then his 1st motorbike before passing his driving test. He loves his car but misses his bike...he had a Honda NSR 125 it was a beast on 2 wheels it was lush & he loved it. So this is sort of a jokey card if you like its based on his moped but the colour of his super-bike.
Sorry about pics I was in bit of rush cus of the time so basically threw them in the light tent & forgot to crop them a bit!!! This one is even ski-whiff lol.
This is Sugar Nellie 'Scooter Boy' & you can get him here. For this card I followed the sketch over at Sugar Bowl which also has a theme of embossing. I have embossed the card the image sits on & covered the dots in chalk & also the card underneath was also embossed with my Happy Birthday cuttlebug folder. I then rubbed it over with Metallic rub ons which I got from Crafts & Me. I cut out 'Happy Birthday' with my MS punch....I think this is the 1st time I've used it since I've had it....I think anyway lol. The lettering was then coloured with Aqua Blue Promarker & then heated embossed with clear powder.

Scooter Boy was coloured with Copics but I forgot the colours I'm afraid. I've been making a few cards tonight to try get a headstart on a few DT cards for next week.
This is getting entered into.....

Now I have a sneak peek for close your eyes cus its a surprise......
Now........!!! This is 'Night Rose' & she is a new release which you will be able to get in January from Crafty Purple Frog, she will be available in decoupage & pyramage.........this one is decoupage 'Night Rose'. As soon as I saw the new releases I fell in love with all of them they are truly divine so come on over to here on 6th January for our new challenge & you will see the rest of the new releases. You wont want to miss it!!!

Here is a close-up isn't she really beautiful......this has to be my all time fave I love it!!!! The card behind her has been heat embossed with clear power to give it a bit of shine.....not that she needs it lol, it is then layered on lilac card.

This beautiful butterfly is from my stash, these are just gorgeous & I think I got them from Ebay.

Mulberry roses I got from Crafty Emma's Store

The paper is from Bearly Mine Creations it is from the Designer Extreme cd Vol 3. This really is sooo pretty & I thought it went beautifully with this image.....the combination of this paper & this image it doesn't really call for much more but me being me I have to add me fancy pants bits lol. The design of the card is something new I've tried after being inspired by 1 of the DT girls over at Sweet Pea rubber stamps & will def be doing it again but a bit different on my next one. Well that is it for me I'm off to link this up to a fabby challenge & then I'm off to bed. Do you know I got up this morning & can actually start to see bits of grass in my back garden now....yes the snow is slowly going yayyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!
I'm entering this into.........

Well tatty bye peeps thank you soooo much for stopping by you know how much I appreciate it.
Take care & keep warm.

Simply Sassy or Simply Betty???????

Good evening or should I say good morning cus its actually nearly 1 0'clock in the morning lol!! I am posting 2 cards....1 of which I did last night but didn't get round to making my flowers til tonight & then I quickly made another card. I got a ton of stamps for crimbo & I thought I would I would do all my Sugar Nellie 1s then all my Kraftin Kimmie 1s & WOJ 1s etc etc but I thought you might get bored or is it I may get bored.........actually do you know what forget what I've just said its total dribble!! How can we EVER get bored of any stamps.......unless its a 1st class stamp by Royal Mail lol...altho they are cheaper.....4 now!!!!
Right enough of my dribble-drabble 1st I want to show you another of my Sugar Nellie stamps this is 1 I got from Santy.
For this card I followed the challenge on Sketch & Stash & you can choose any sketch from their catalogue.
I went with Sketch 13.
Here is 'Pillow Talk' from Sugar Nellie. She is coloured with Promarkers. The paper is Websters Pages which you can get from Crafty Emma's, the border through the middle was made using my MS punch. All card is from Paper Mill Direct. The corners are from Ebay & gems from my stash.

This is a close-up of my flower which was made by moi, it was all coloured with Pastel Pink & then edged with 'Tea Dye' distress ink. I have added a tutorial page now to my blog & there will be tutorials going on very soon....I am currently working on them.

Entering the above card into......

Onto my next card. For this card I have followed a colour fab teamie from CES Julie chose the colour combo & made a fabulous DT card for this challenge before crimbo & I really wanted to play along cus the colour combo is just gorgeous & a new one for me.....I do like to keep pushing outside my comfort zone lol.
The challenge is 'Plum & White' with the optional extra of 'Frames'

Say hi to another sassy chic...this is 'Betty' from Kraftin' Kimmie & you can get her from 1 of my fave shops Crafts & Me. My step-mum brought me about a dozen Kraftin Kimmie stamps for crimbo which came as a pleasant shock lol. Sorry about the pic I had to quickly change the backing in the photo tent cus the card dissapeared into the white backing lol...the camera has picked up some of the glitter dots which is what you can see on the image. She is coloured with Copics & Promarkers & her stockings have been covered with Diamond Sparkles....I have to say I am preferring the copics I love their nibs they are perfect for finer details & I prefer to use them when doing hair especially. The only thing is getting used to the colours & what can be used with what.....but I'm getting there lol.

The image has been coated with clear embossing powder a couple of times & zapped with my heat gun. The only thing with doing this is it makes the colours darker. The frame was also heat embossed as well.

The tulle is from my stash & I made the hat pin that goes into the tulle myself using beads from my jewellery stash & the flowers are from here. All card is from Paper Mill Direct (see above card for link). I love the plum coloured card I think it looks gorgeous & I forgot I had it.

The shape of the card was made using my grand nesties in my Grand Calibur which was an early pressie from santy lol. I love these new shapes that we can do its soooo much easier now with the calibur....I love love love it!!!!!
Challenge I'm entering into.....  -  Plum & White with the optional extra of Frames

Well I'm off to link both of these up will be back tomorrow....I have a few projects on the go which hopefully will be finished tomorrow, I have done nothing on them today..
Thankyou sooo much for all your fabulous comments on my Top 10 you really are all fabulous, the best buddies I could ask for & I loves ya all. I appreciate every comment with all my heart.

My Top 10 Cards of 2010

Hello all you lovely peeps. I hope you all had a fabulous crimbo with your families & I hope santy brought you lots of goodies. I had a fabby 1, I had a house full to cook for there was the 5 of us then my sons girlfriend, my step-mum & my brother-in-law...& I had a buffet to cook for everyone too!!!
I got VERY spoilt for crimbo I didn't know which stamp to ink up 1st lol.

Anyway over on this lovely blog they are wanting your Top 10 of 2010....well I didnt start making cards til March & set up this blog in April so its not a full year but here is my pick.....hubby helped too lol.
Starting in order of favourites.....

My daughter's birthday card....above is the outside & below is the inside...its based on a theme of a fairytale book.

This Skull 1 is just different so anything I've done & I absolutely love it!!!!

My fave crimbo card had to be to my hubby it turned out just the way I looks sexy like him!!

My 1st step card & I was really pleased with how it turned out.

OK OK so I cant count & there is actually 11 but I tried soooo hard.....a lot of my cards I dont like but these I just love & I think it shows a good variety. I have however noticed there my main favourites are ones with Sweet Pea images on, I absolutely love them they are just sooo different to the cute ones & they are much more versatile & while I love Magnolia....Sweet Pea are becoming my ultimate fave!!! Also my fave style of card is of course the easel card......can you tell ? lol
Well I'm off to link these up.....I hope I dont get told off for having 11!!!! Will see you later I have made a few things so will post later. Hope you all enjoy the rest of your holiday. I have missed visiting you all but I have soooo enjoyed having a lot of special family time.
Thankyou everyone for popping in especially at this time of year.

Tiny Tim & Bob Cratchit.......

Good morning everyone.....yes I know I said yesterday was my last post but my family have been bullying me all does has some downfalls when you tell your family everything. As you know the fabulous Mo's digi pencil has a Dream Team DT call, I wasn't going to enter but not cus I didnt want to but cus I've seen all the fantastic entries....I mean FANTASTIC, have you seen them all. Now I did the silly thing of telling my family last week....stupid stupid Vicky....yeah well my youngest Jake & hubby Craig bullied me for over an hour at dinner time telling me to enter & that I will never know if I dont enter..... Yeah I know they are right...I mean whats the worst that will happen....I have a feeling they are not that cruel to laugh in my face lol....only joking I dont think anyone cud ever be that cruel surely!!!!
Anyway here is my extrememly fast card.........Now I have about a 10 Mo images (did have more but lost a lot when my hard-drive went ker-putt :0(..) so it took me a bit decide which 1 to colour....they are all fab. As its crimbo I decided to go for 1 of my fave crimbo movies    'Scrooge'...
So this is 'Tiny Tim & Bob Cratchit' which you can get here.......I actually keep saying 'Scratchit'...well its age I get confused a bit lol....

They are coloured with Promarkers & Copics...copics are mainly the greys as I love their greys!!! I have also stamped a Magnolia 'Silent Night' crimbo carol behind them cus I think they look like they are jolly & singing sure brings a smile to my face.

I have used Websters Pages for the card, I really love their paper & this 1 I chose for this little verse that was on it, which I didnt want to cover up.
'Magic is believing in yourself.
If you can do that, you can
make anything
I absolutely love that!!!!

This fabby stamp I had off Emma for crimbo & she sells it in her fabulous shop....its the most perfect sentiment stamp as it really is for all year round!!!

This is the last pic to show layers & stuff.  I am away now unless Santa comes early & tells me I'm on this fabulous awesome team.........gosh I do have my fingers crossed tight....wish me luck!!!
I also want to wish all the other fabulous talented entries good luck to....I've seen your cards & you are al amazing & awesome...
We had to dig out the big van this morning in order to get it out of the drive, my little car is staying put tho lol the bigger the better is needed at the mo with how seriously bad it is up here along the coast. Its the worst I've ever seen.
Well I'm off to do some baking with my son, he wants to cook muffins.....if he hadn't told me he wants to be a carpenter/joiner (he loves wood & what beauty you can do with it) then I wud be sure he could be a chef.....he makes absolutely fabulous soup mmmmm mmmm.
Well have a jolly jolly time everyone hope santy brings you what you want but if he doesn't always remember you have each other & thats worth more than any money can buy. Families & loved ones are 'Priceless'!!
Thank you for stopping by love you all mmwah.

Forever Rose

Good evening all grab yourself a cuppa as it is a long post.....but its only long cus of piccies & not my usual babbling lol.  This will be my last posting until after crimbo as I just dont seem to be having the time, as I'm sure all of you too are very busy lol.
Anyway Jane from WOJ posted something on her blog the other day that I fell in love with, she got the idea from someone else, you know how it works lol. Well I thought I would give it a go but unfortunately couldn't find a tutorial for it, so I thought I would have a go at doing 1 myself & see how it goes. Now it does need tweaking here & there but the concept is there.
Anyway here it is....

This beautiful image is from 1 of the most fabulous shops (I think so anyway lol, I love it) it is indeed a new Digital Stamp release from Crafts & Me & she is called 'Forever Rose'. The other night Crafts & Me released their 1st digi stamps well I was soooo excited I went straight over & brought all 7 of them. I printed them that night & started to colour them the following day. This beauty is my fave & I thin it is the sort of image that will suit many colour schemes & many themes. As this is for my SM I have gone for pretty shabby chic. Now this is not what it seems..........for when you untie the ribbon & open it up......

mmmmmm choccies.....the idea is is its to look like a book from the outside but reveals a surprise inside....the surprise is up to you. I will be buying some chocs especially to put in I just grabbed these out of our quality st tin to give the idea.... A tag is attached to write a message on. Tag was cut out using a Magnolia Doo Hickey die.

Altho its for crimbo I'm hoping she will want to keep this so I didnt want it looking christmassy so would only be able to be got out one month a year. I used my Tim Holtz Alterations 'Once Upon A Time' thru my bigshot for the letters to say 'Mother'

This is without chocs

It all ties nicely shut with a gingham ribbon.

The rose I made myself from plain paper......come to my blog after crimbo when there will be changes. It will be re-designed & there will be a few tutorials on here also....I'm on doing them in between other things at the mo lol. Hopefully you will like the new improved blog when it arrives lol.

This is the last pic....I have saved the close-up of this beautiful image until last. She is coloured with Promarkers & Sakura gel pen added to parts of the rose. All the paper & card have been inked with 'Victorian Velvet' & 'Vintage Photo' distress inks. The flower next to the rose is actually from these scrummy Marianne design paper pad which is called 'Roses Are Red' & they are totally beautiful. I cut around the rose on the gingham paper then covered it with extra thick embossing powder & zapped it with my heat gun.
Materials used & links....
Forver Rose image - Crafts & Me
Cream & Pink card - Papermill Direct
'Roses Are Red' paper - Quixotic Paperie
Gingham Ribbon - Crafty Ribbons
Butterfly - Ebay (e-mail me if you want the name or link of the shop on Ebay)
All gems, doilie & lace are from my stash.
Well thats it from me, my hubby is clearing snow off the sky dish cus we keep losing signal lol, we've had about 8-9 inches of snow here today. I hope where-ever you are you are safe & warm.
I want to wish you all a fabulous crimbo & I wish you all love, health & laughter for the new year ahead.....
Until then huge hugs to each & every 1 of you thank you so sooo much for all your wonderful support & for all your comments since I joined 8-9 months ago, you really are the best.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart mmwah.
Merry Christmas Everyone. xxxx

This is mine......

This is 'Party Bear' which you can buy here....this is actually 'Christmas Party Bear' but I think this little cutie could be used for a variety of things so thats what I've shown you. I wrote the invited on in before I printed it out....isn't she sweet, or he if you do it a diff colour lol.

She has been coloured with Promarkers & stickles added to her party hat.

The gingham paper is from my stash which I've had ages & had totally forgot about it lol.

For the shape of the card I used my Grand Calibur which I love & I think I will be doing a lot of shaped cards lol. The smallest & last layer I used the co-ordinating nestie 1 & inked it with 'Tattered Rose' distress ink.
Materials used & links.......
Paper (not gingham) is WRS Japan which with the Card Candy, Dew Drop & Mulberry Ribbon (which was cut in half lengthways for my card) all of this you can get from Crafty Emma's Store
The sentiment is a set I won a short while ago from The Cutting Cafe & I inked with the same ink & then covered with Ultra thick embossing powder, my new jar arrived yesterday thank goodness lol. I also stuck a Dew Drop onto the tag for decoration.

So this fortnight the challenge isssssssss....
This fortnight we have 2 fabby sponsors
The DT were given a few Prairie images to use on their projects a few weeks ago when they last sponsored us so a few of us have used them. However on the last challenge I won Top Spot which I was soooo overjoyed about & I got 2 pick 3 images free so I've used 1 of my winners.
This was a new release at the time & I just had to have her....
This is 'Carol Singing Gilly' & I think she is lush.

She is coloured with Promarkers & I've added a sprinkling of glitter dust to the fur on her coat & ear muffs.

I have also added Glossy Accents to her glasses to make them more realistic which I always think looks fab.

The holly is actually a decoration from Wilkinsons & I;ve just added Diamond stickles around the edges of the leaves.
