Blue & Grey

Hello everyone how are you all? Hope you have all had a lovely weekend.

I've been really poorly with an awful bug these last few days & apart from half an hour saturday morning to do a few things with my lappy I've not touched it all weekend, but ive been getting lots of headaches with the bug as well :-( I've barely crafted this last whole week.........I'm having serious withdrawal.....maybe its not a bug at all but its actually withdrawal from not crafting lol.

Anyway I did make card before I was poorly, actually I've got a few things made but havnt been wanting to use my lappy so havn't blogged them....though some are DT work ;-)

Ok so this is a simple kinda card that had no plan except a window lol........that was it & Pion paper....

.....ok I know it doesnt quite look simple but it is.......sort of ;-)

Now when you hear blues & greys you think dreary dont you......well Pion Design make sure its far from dreary with these pretty papers from the Greeting's From The North Pole collection.

The window is a Marianne Design die & underneath on the sill I added more leaves form matt silver cardstock from my stash & a snowflake button. I added a pearl to the centre of the button & the little dots are done with pearl pens.

The image is from Pion Design December Dreams 12x12 sheet.

So I've had a play with the foamiran.........only a little though as I was scared I would ruin my iron lol.......so today hubster went & brought a cheap iron just for my craft room lol. This I didnt do too much with to be honest, the blue I wanted to lighten so I used florist spray to tone it down & just heated it a little with my heat gun. The white I used on the iron just a little. I have made 2 flowers but all I've had time watch is 1 video on flower making & then it was a big poppy.......so once I'm feeling better I will play & experiment properly on my own.

The centre is made up with a silver pomegranate & silver stamens.

I added a layers of lace across the card & added pearls dots.........kinda got carried away with those lol.

All the leaves were made with Tim HOltz Holiday Greens dies, all were cut in matt silver cardstock & white cardstock. I also added white pomegranate apples & bow made with ribbon which I melted with a heatgun.

As always I've decorated inside. All papers were machine stitched & distressed a little bit.

Ooh I've also added white & grey berries in with the poinsettia at the top, nearly forgot about those little beauties. 

Well thats it from me as my headache is coming back....wish this bug would bu**er off lol.

For A Dear Friend

Hello everyone, how are you all? 

This is a card I made a week or 2 ago I think...... 

Isve used Pion Design christmas papers & the image is also Pion Design.......these images are gorgeous!!!

So papers I have used are Dear Santa from Pion Design Night Before Christmas, I have also used Pion Design Palette Ocra II for matting. These sheets are beautiful for matting behinmd your papers on your card. Even for die-cuts to match your theme.......very versatile & gorgeous colours.

The poinsettia was made with Creative Expressions Classic Poinsettia die, the centre is actually from old christmas crackers. You know the bit they tie aroun d & the little bauble type things they put on......wow I am fabulous at explaining things lol.

The leaves are Holiday Greens die right here......can you tell this is a new die, for me anyway........OMG I love it & dont know why I didnt get it sooner!!!

I added a straw cut down a tiny bit & then added a sentiment cut from Pion Design Night Before Christmas Borders sheet. The little snowflakes are from Magnolia 

This I cut from the same sheet as the card & made it into a tag as I love the verse on it.

This is the inside & I added tags to write on. The tags are cut from Pion Design Night Before Christmas Memory Notes. The border along the bottom came from the borders sheet.

The gorgeous ribbon is form my stash & I made a cabochon for the centre saying Merry Christmas.

The snowflake border die & the larger snowflake are both Joycraft dies form Noor Design UK.

The image is from Pion Design Night Before Christmas Images From The Past.....I have to say this is my favourite image sheet ever!! I love all the images & verses you get on this sheet.

Noor Design UK DT Post

Hello everyone. Well are your kiddies back to school this week....my grandson starts nursery & my grand-daughter starts all day.....omgoodness they grow too fast & I will miss seeing her in an afternoon........although she does have to walk past mine to school & back so maybe I can nab them both for tea lol.

Anyhoo lets get on with my card & I've made a christmas card, yes another one....but its hard not to when Tracy stocks lush papers & fabulous Christmas dies.....not to mention all the other yummy scrummy stuff ;-)

I have used the lushious Pion Greetings From The North Pole papers & inked around the edge with pumice stone then machine stitched all around. I also added Cheesecloth between the 2 layers on the top.

For the shape I've used Find It Trading Christmas Card set.....I have to say these dies are awesome & cut perfectly....Im really impressed with these & I'm a fuss-pot when it comes to dies.

The Spirited Birds are also a Find It Trading die as well which I also added green moss & pomegranate apples to. I used another sheet of North Pole for the birdies & branch.....

So the scrolly bit........yeah my technical term for the die-cut is from the Christmas Card Set die, its the centre one. I added green moss again to the leaves & a little bit of Natural Moss & pomegranates apples, a flower & a little fir cone (cone from my stash). This die is out of stock but you can still order it & Tracy will get it in.

Down the bottom corner I made 2 bows with white seam binding & one from green seam binding(from my stash but Tracy does a much nicer one here) & added some gorgeous bling to the centre.........yeah more pomegranate apples sneaked in there too....& a fir cone ;-) There is also a wee bit of Natural Moss there as well. 

On the blue top paper inside the inner frame I added a sprinkling of shabby white fran-tage & then added the Scrapiniec words Merry Christmas........these I left natural & just added a touch of Pumice Stone ink to them. 

The bottom I added a Little Darlings Gilded Oval die & one of my favourite leaf dies.

We took our family to an Authentique Steakhouse when we went away this last weekend as a treat for them..........it was fabulous, truly enjoyed it. My son took some pics of my grandchildren so I thought I would show 2 of them to you...

We nearly wet ourselves when she pulled this face........its so funny lol.

This is my handsome Arjay who had that huge struggle before & after he was born & still has a struggle now, but look at him here eating his ice-cream....happy little chappy he is. Would you believe he turned 3 in June......see how fast time goes!!

I love my family & its a blessing to be a grandparent to 2 very awesome children, I truly am so so lucky :-)

Deep Ocean Challenge DT Card

Hello everyone, running late today. Its time for a new challenge over at Deep Ocean & this fortnight is an easy peasy one........

CHRISTMAS IS ALL AROUND

............told ya it was easy.

I have a card I made for another family member who lives half way down the country from me, so until I know they have this card I cant say who its for ;0)

I have gone, pretty in vintage on this one & used non-traditional colours. Really hope they like it!!

I have gone Pion Vintage on this lol, yep all the papers & the image are Pion. The papers are Pion Days Of Winter 'Lilly & Siri 6x6' & the image I actually cut from a 12x12 sheet from the Days Of Winter 'Christmas Eve'. I cut the image out using a Go-Kreate die.

All of the flowers, the Frosted Berries, Feathers & Bark Star are all form Live & Love Crafts.

I have also added Stardust Stickles to everything as well, just to give it some nice sparkle ;0)

The 'Merry Christmas' strip across the corner is from the same paper sheet. You can also see some CheesCloth sticking out there ;0)

This is the inside, although the pic was taken before anything was put in to write on. The lace is form my stash, the papers are the same collection & again I've added a border along the middle, I love these borders that come with Pion papers. The banner on the top is one I made myself using a LOTV Sentiment stamp.

The thinner lace & the glitter tulle are form LLC, as are the Bells which I added glitter to & the vax cord. I have to say this 'Glitter Tulle' is just so so pretty. For the edge I've used a Martha Stewart PATP. I've also added small cream pearl snowflakes here & there as well.

Well my washer guy has been & he ordered the wrong part ggrrrrr. He is coming back tuesday, which is a day before christmas Eve, so it doesnt look like my new flooring will be down before crimbo :0( Looks like its gonna be stuck in the passage way a bit longer.

Trust me to have a fan-dangle blinkin'washer!! A few years ago I used to have a colourful Dyson washer which was awesome, then we got a new which was.....well crap!! So we got this new one from LG which is a 11kg washer, believe me I need a large washer with Natalie alone lol, especially constant duvet washing!! It even plays a wee tune when each load is done, it makes me smile lol. When we got it because how expensive it was, even more than the Dyson we decided get a lifetime warranty on it. Well its a good job as we've had a few probs. Luckily however this one is a prob which still means I can use my washer.......I just have to mop after every load as water leaks on the rinse/spin cycle from the drawer..........its only a bit, but obviously dont want to put down new wooden flooring for it get ruined.........especially if I'm busy when it leaks & it sits there for however long I'm busy for or if I've had to pop out!!!!!!

Anyhoo's thats my washer saga, brill washer but a pain in the ass lol.

Sorry to droan on but the dog has fallen asleep on me so doesnt want to listen to my moaning lol, cant blame him really lol. Well I have a bedrooms to clean so will see you all laters.
