My Ribbon Storage

Good morning all my lovely jubbly friends..how are youa ll this bright & sunny morning? Its certainly bright & sunny up here as you will see by one of the pics that I'm showing lol.

Well I've still done no crafting all week I am having serious withdrawal now I am hoping to do some today tho......fingers crossed.

Natalie is still poorly with her chest I ended up trying some of my sons ventolin inhaler on her last night to try ease her wheezing........wow what a task that was cus obviously I cant tell her to suck or inhale she doesn't understand any of it. So I thought if I give her a quick squirt it would make her cough & while we put her in the recovery position she would hopefully bring some of the rubbish up off her chest....it worked thankfully. The problem with severly disabled children is they get a build up of rubbish on their chest & unfortunately what they do bring up they swallow most of it back down so its like being on a roller coaster when we do manage to get her cough only half of her rubbish actually comes out....wow I bet you really didnt want to be hearing about that this morning lol.....really sorry peeps I will shush now. Also my youngest & my hubby have now caught it so I've had no kids at school this week & my man has man flu....aw bless 'em.

Anyway the reason I'm here is Really Reasonable Ribbons Ramblings (wow thats a mouthful lol) they are having a ribbon organization week which basically means show them how to store yours. 

Pop on over to read all the details. I thought I would enter mine cus apparently you have to be in it to win it. I have spent half an hour in my hobbit this morning so I thought I would take piccies while I was there so I could enter this.

Told you it was sunny up here lol unfortunatley this is right by my bottom window lol. I'm on sorting my craft room out as most of you know.....its nearly done but with poorly kids I've not been in for a week :0(

This is basically my ribbon storage....I am hugely addicted to ribbon already even tho I've not been doing this malarkey for long lol.

I've closed my blind now lol.

Originally I used hooks as you can see as I had a spare packet in the kitchen lol. These are basically the bars you have underneath your cupboards in the kitchen for hanging up utensils. Ikea do these really cheap also the hooks are cheap from there as well. I however was inpatient & didnt want to go back for hooks as my nearest Ikea is about 20 odd miles away....altho I do need more bars now lol.

So I used cable ties from hubby's shed lol. The clips I brought in bulk from an online store as I knew how I wanted to store my ribbon. A lot of the time I buy in metres so I dont have that many rolls so thats why I did this kind of storage & this way I can clearly see what I have & just unclip what I want & clip it back when I'm finished....easy peasy lemon squeezy...he he

I have these still to sort out & I also have a box of lace & a tub of seam binding......yes I'm addicted to that now as well lol.

These are 2 of the drawers still to be done when I get more bars.

I also thought I would show you what I made last night or should I say early hours this morning lol whilst sitting on the sofa lol. I decided to have a play about & experiment & this is what I achieved.

This was just done with a short length of ribbon & I love it so will be doing lots more lol.

Well thats it now peeps I am going to try my best & catch up with you all now I have soooo missed your blogs. It seems no sooner I get on here Natalie needs me & I have to leave so fingers crossed....I hope so cus I've got loads of DT commenting to catch up on as well. So there may be a big ass shape in my sofa today lol cant go far anyway as my new mobile gets delivered today....I love my sons phone so I copied off him he he....its the Blackberry Torch I went for black as I dont think white would stay white especially if it comes into my craft room lol... my hubby will also NOT be borrowing it to take fishing!!

Hello my friends

Hello all my lovely jubbly friends, how are you all this bright & breezy day? Its gorgeous yet again up here in the North East & yet again washing on the line I'm loving it I can tell ya lol....altho the dryer still has to go on for towels & underwear...:0( lol.

I thought I would let you know how my angel is doing. Well yesterday we should of made the most of moments like these......which were few.....

Asleep on the sofa with a towel underneath her head incase she is sick & her pooh bear blankie over her. Really wish we had gone bed when she was alseep cus last night she didnt want to sleep at all the little bugga lol. She is still managing a smile & the odd little giggle here & there which is so weak & wheezy you cant help giggling at her lol.

She became grumpy tea time last night so we lay her on our bed & I sat next to her for a couple of hours & we watched Princess Diaries 1 & 2 which are her fave films.....I enjoy them too lol. So I did manage to sort half of my Copics out whilst sitting next to her & do my Copic colour chart finally. I even managed do  little colouring I coloured skin & hair on one of my stamped images lol It took me an hour just do the hair, I told you I take ages colouring lol.

Anyway she is back on half strength feeds today & touch wood she is tolerating them & no more sickness. She is really wheezy still & most of the time running a fever so the fan is on constantly lol.

I want to thank you for all of your sweet lovely comments you really are the best mmwah. I'm trying my best to catch up with commenting but its a bit sporadic at the moment but I promise I will catch up with you all eventually.

Hello my lovelies how are you all today? The weather is glorious up here today perfect for a stroll along the beach.....even tho I wont get chance to do that lol.

I dont have anything exciting for you I'm afraid its just a post to say a huge thank you to you all for your get well wishes for Natalie. Unfortunately she has rapidly gone down hill & we ended up staying in the sitting room with her all night. Colds affect her so badly extremely quickly so what was a few sneezes on Sunday is now full blown flu & now on her chest as well..... Lots of rubbish which is causing her to be sick constantly...you should of seen my bath this morning full of sicky towels from in the night..yuk!!!

Anyway she has fallen alseep on the sofa now bless her she must be shattered, I know me & dad are, so goodness knows how Natty is feeling.

Anyway I just wanted to give you an update on my poorly angel & while she is sleepies I'm gonna do some blog hopping to come see your creations. So I will see ya soonies my fab friends.

Crafts & Me DT card.........Frosted Rose

Good afternoon all you lovelies hope you had a fabulous weekend. Mine was lovely altho I did no crafting what-so-ever I spent the whole weekend with my hubby & kids, it was fab we even watched Matilda saturday night lol. I am running a tad late today I have my daughter off school she started sneezing yesterday & by last night she has the full blown flu.....cus of her disability she gets it really bad bless her. We were supposed to go look around the Alan Shearer centre today for disabled children so just dad went & I stayed at home with Natalie.....he said its fantastic so we are all going up sunday to see what Natalie thinks of it.....I just want to go in the big ball pit with Natalie rofl.

Anyway onto my card. I've used an older image today by Hannah Lynn but its an image I've not used before but let me tell you I had so much fun colouring I loved every minute of it & it does take me a loooong time to colour images....especially hair as its my most fave part of an image & Hannah Lynn is perfect for that.

Anyway here she is...

Isn't she just so beautiful. I took the photo's outside today cus its just so lovely.

She is coloured with Copics I will put the list on at the bottom as well as all other materials used.

I added Ice stickles to her wing & her roses. I also went around her eyes with a Letreset fine marker to darken her eyes & make them pop out a bit more.....its like putting on some mascara & eyeliner lol.

The chain & friend charm are from my jewellery making stash.

The gems & the fabric used for the bow are also from my stash. I made this card to fit a few challenges.

The black ribbon is from Crafty Ribbons & the gorgeous Beaudoux Wine seam binding was off a fab blogging friend, thanks Rach sweetie....mmwah.

The black rose in the middle of the bow & the new prima papers 'Moulin Rouge' are from Crafty Emma's.

The smooth white card I use for stamping is this here which of course you can get with the gorgeous Hannah Lynn stamp 'Frosted Rose' from Crafts & Me.

Copics used are, E000 E00 E01 E13 R20

RV34 R11 R10 C7 C5 C3 C1 G17 G07 G14 & W5 for extra shading to her hair.

Well thats about it from me hope you have liked this card its quite simple for me lol but this image doesn't need much she wants to be centre of attention so I thought I would let her be lol.

CES Challenges DT Card.........

Good morning peeps its me again....just when you thought it was safe go into Blogland I re-appear with my 2nd post lol.

This one is completely the other end of the scale from my first card this morn.....check out my Sweet Pea Steampunk creation here.

This post is for CES Challenges & this week our lovely Sandie has chosen the theme which is

'St Patrick/Good Luck'

So we would love to see any of those type of cards, obviously not all of us know people who we could wish happy St Patricks day to so thats why we are giving you the option of Good Luck as well.

I have gone for Good Luck for my card & whats more I've dug out another un-inked stamp, I am doing well lol. I was hoping my new stamps would of been here for this card but instead I got one of my hAnglars out she has been waiting for ink for soooooooo long.....so finally here she is...

For this card I followed Rach's fabbylicious sketch over on Friday Sketchers.....I must say I soooo enjoyed doing this card I could of done it again after lol.........is that sad of me?

I made a tag type of sentiment by stamping on some of my seam binding & attaching it to the matting of the image......I love that little bit actually lol.

She is of course coloured with Copics colours used are....

E000,E00,E01,E11,R20

E77,E57,E33,E53

RV29,RV34 & W5 for shading

Little bit of C1 on the white to add bit of depth

I also added 2 pink pearl gems from my stash to her ribbons on her hair.

Stitching is faux I ran it all through the machine without thread then added the stitches with my silver/grey sakura pen as I couldn't find my light grey thread grrrrrr....never mind I'm still pleased with it lol.

The button is from my stash & the bottom flower I made using a magnolia doo hickey with the DP I've used. The doily was also from my stash & I used pink A4 card for matting.

The gorgeous lace is from Wild Orchid Crafts.

The scalloped card, card candy, smooth white card for stamping, Prima flowers, bakers twine, hat pin & Memory Box-Gossamer papers are all available at Crafty Emma's here.

Inside has also been deocrated exactly the same using the sketch I was going to put a piccy on but I think there is enough on now lol.

Sweet Stampin Challenges DT Card.......

Good morning my lovelies how are you all this morning? This is actually a scheduled post its been one fo those weeks with health etc yuk yuk yuk!! Its actually 1.30am & yes I'm still not in bed, hubby is on the sofa next to me nodding off with his head on me awwww bless him sssshhh must be quiet lol.

Anyway its Saturday so that means we have new challenges for you & this saturday we have 2 the 2nd will be posted shortly afterwards so please pop back if you have time.

Thank you for all of your wonderful entries last week over at Sweet Stampin....WOW.....there was a lot phewwwwwwwww, I'm still actually catching up so I will be round to you still.

This week we have a fabby sketch for you to play with so it takes all the hard work out of it for you.

I nearly forgot about it when I did my DT card so had to turn it into an easel card, not that I mind cus they are my fave style of card. This week I've used one of my yummy stamps that I had still not inked... & tried something different for me anyway.......

Yes of course I've used a Sweet Pea stamp, you know I cant leave them alone for long. This is one of my un-inked stamps & she is by Meredith Dillman, I am sooooo loving her stamps. This one is from Plate 87 sheet 2 which you can find here. I've gone Steampunk style which I've never done before but I love to try different things it stops me getting bored lol & I enjoyed doing this one.

She is coloured with what is now my fave colouring medium....yes Copics I just love them soooo much. She has also been embossed with UTEE. Her scarf however is done with Prisma & I cant remember why lol. The fabulous frame behind is a digi image from Teri over at Delicious Doodles which was distressed with teadye ink & then UTEE then cracked in places then rubbing on some walnut ink into the cracks I then attached the image on top cus I only wanted the frame cracked & not her.

The metal corner was silver but I covered it in copper embossing powder....warning metal gets hot!!!!! lol.

I will have to add the rest of my pics tomorrow cus I've ran out of room apparently, I've reached my 1 gig limit. I have purchased some more but it can take a few hours to come through lol.
So I will edit the rest in the morning lol.

Crafty Purple Frog DT Card......

Good morning all my lovely jubbly friends. How are you all this morn? Well its quite miserable up here along the coast today we cant complain tho cus the last 2 days its been lovely I've even had washing on the line for 2 days running.....yayyyyaaayyyy!!

This fortnight we have one of my fave type of challenges.

'Things With Wings'

Yep as long as it has wings fly them pretties to us as we would love to see them.

For my card I always struggle which image to use cus they are all just gorgeous so hubby picked my card & told me what theme to do with my wings.......I had to go super girly......OMG I'm not a girly girl at all, I love cars & car racing, street dancing & footie is one of my big loves. For my anniversary a good few years ago hubby asked what I wanted & I said tickets to go watch Newcastle UTD play Beyer Leverkusen....OMG it was amazing....all my friends shook their heads at me in disbelief but this is me...lol. I know more about makes of cars & engines than my hubby altho he knows how to fix them lol.

So here is my pretty girly card......

Isn't it girly lol.....it actually came together soooo easily & the gorgeous papers are from Bearly Mine

This is 'Carnation Fairy' decoupage which you can get here I added lace stickles to parts of her wings.

Flowers & scalloped 6x6 card are from Crafty Emma's.

The heart die cut is a Whiff Of Joy die. Butterfly cut out using my Tonic punch. Button & pink pearls from my stash & the beautiful ribbon is from Crafty Ribbons. The sentiment is from Bizzy Becs its not very often I put a sentiment on cus you never know what you are going to use a card for but Bearly Mine has a challenge of Happy Birthday.

Crafts & Me DT Card........

Good afternoon everyone its time for our new challenge over at

Crafts & Me

This week our fabulous Vix has chosen the theme which this week is...

Under The Sea

So as long as it has something to do with the sea whether it be mermaids, dolphins, fish, sea shells etc then we would love to see it. So swim on over to here & enter those fabulous creations.

Now I have to admit I was rather stuck on this one but only cus I was spoilt for choice on which image to use Teresa really does stock such a variety it took me a while to pick. In the end I went for a digi that I brought as soon as Teresa started to do digi's I remember being soooo excited & rushed over & brought them all lol. So it was about time I coloured this beauty up.....

The image is coloured with Copics sorry I didnt remember which ones as I used a lot of colours lol. You dont want to know how long I spent on colouring this lol. I will tell you tho that the hair alone took me an hour I dont know how many layers I put on to get the depth I wanted lol. The first image wasn't going how I wanted so it went to the bin I would rather waste an image than not be entirely happy with it.

The papers are from Basic Grey in all honesty I love the image but the card I hate & if I had had time it would of gone in the bin & I would of done another but I've been ill the last week so energy wise its not been great. The doc however has given me some antibiotics as I have a really bad kidney infection never mind lol.

The first flower I put on I hated cus the stickles went wrong so it went in the bin I kept the bottom layer & then attached this large gorgeous rose from Wild Orchid which I sprayed with Gold glimmer mist from here & now I think it just looks better. The sentiment is from my shelves of wood block stamps & edged with stormy sky distress ink.

Well thats it from me for now I am having a nightmare with blogger not doing what its told to do so I'm away to tell it off &.....thats not all its getting grounded!!!

Cant wait to see all of your yummy creations peeps.

Simply Sassy Stardust.....

Good evening all my lovely friends hope you are all fine & dandy.

This is a really quick post from me tonight......I could even break a record lol.

I wasn't going to do a card tonight as its my busy week DT wise but my new stamps came today & well tonight I had a really quick play.....it was quick as well. Altho I can never colour an image quick colouring the image is my fave part lol.

So here is the 1st of my new stamps.......

This is 'Stardust' of Simply Sassy set 5 from Funky Kits.

She is coloured with yummy Copics. Colours used were...E000 E00 E01 E11 R20 C7 C5 C3 C1 R27 R59

Used a scalloped card base from Crafty Emma's.

Circle made using Marianne die & the flower in the centre was cut using a doo hickey & a button from my stash added. The large red rose is from Wild Orchid & the small black ones from Emma's, also the white doily is from Emma's. All flowers have been edged with Stardust stickles.....it had to be didnt it lol. Papers are a mixture of Bearly Mine & Nitwits.

This has been made for 2 challenges, a sketch & a colour challenge.

Making A Wish

Hi everyone hope you've all had a lovely jubbly weekend.

Well today is my day to show you a card using a stamp from Crafts & Me.

I did have another card all done using a different stamp but I cannot remember at all what I've done with it... I have been doing it all weekend putting things down & then not remembering where I've put it!! Apparently they say its called getting older......nerrrrr it cant be that.....I'm just erm.....tired yeah thats the word.

Anyway I was getting myself in such a tizz so instead I threw another card together well not literally threw lol.

So here is  'Making A Wish' by Jasmine Becket-Griffith.

I absolutely love this colour combo my daughter's bedroom is gonna be the same colour...pink & black.

She is coloured with Copics & Promarkers. Sprinkling of glitter was added to her wings & silver stickles were added to the fairy's wings. White gel pen was also used to do some highlighting streaks in her hair & also a gold gel pen in places too.

The ribbon & lace are from my stash. The paper is from Pink Petticoat 'Perfect Papers' the gingham I think might be Nitiwits. All pink & black card used is A4 card from The Paper Mill.

The flower is from Wild Orchid Crafts & I sprayed it with Gold Glimmer Mist here to give that bit of sparkle. The black roses are from Crafty Emma's.

The inside is decorated to compliment the front.

Romantic Dreamer

Good evening my sweeties how are you all this evening? I hope you've all had a fab weekend.

I've had a very painful one so I'm so so sorry if I'm a tad behind on my commenting but I promise to catch up in the morning.

I ordered all the new Sassy's yesterday.....you would think I would finish inking the ones I had first but no not me.... So I thought I would at least make a start I cant bear the sobbing anymore lol.

Tonight I have used one of a couple you get the girl & the boy in this one & I just think they are lush. I've kinda gone with a different sort of theme tonight......well I dont want you getting bored now lol.

Now I havn't actually made this to go in any challenge I didnt take my lappy out with me so I was just going with the flow & doing what came to mind.

This is 'Romantic Dreamer' who also comes with 'Lost In Thought' of course you can get them from

Funky Kits.

The flower I made myself just out of Aida fabric, I have a big picnic type basket full of the stuff in all colours & thought it was about time I tried to use it for something.....I started to do cross-stitch when my dad died Craig brought me the complete sets of threads & a load of fabric & patterns.....it didnt quite keep me engrossed tho....in fact my nintendo DS did more for me lol. The pearly gemmy thing in the corner I got for crimbo & the button on the flower  & doily is from my stash.

The lace is from Wild Orchid & the ribbon is seam binding is was white but I distressed it coloured it & put some wording on for good measure lol. I got an e-mail yesterday asking me if the seam

 binding is the bias binding used for hemming? No it is not as usually that is linen where this is much softer & you can do more with it. The link for this beautiful beading is here or there is another link which I was given by a fab blogging buddy...thank you sweetie where you can buy it in rolls which I think is fab, mine came the other day I was good tho & just ordered 3 lol....you can get it here they are based in America but postage is relatively quick.



Here she is close-up, she is coloured with Copics. I used E000 E00 E01 E11 R20 C7 C5 C3 C1 R27.

The sentiment is from a stamp set I got a bit ago from Sir Stamp A Lot, I stamped it out in Memento cocoa & the rose was stamped in Fired Brick distress ink. The tag was cut out using Whiff Of Joy tag die. On the reverse it has this same rose stamped & a short message simply saying 'I love you'.

The paper is Marianne Design 'Roses Are Red' from Quixotic Paperie which are just really beautiful. They were all edged with Tea Dye distress ink. The inside has also being done the same but I forgot to take a piccie but will pop it on tomorrow, I've even forgot to put my watermarks on which I will also do tomorrow lol.

Well I think thats about it I'm gonna go jump in the shower then hopefully to bed. I will have a peekskie to see what challenges this fits tomorrow. Actually it was really nice just to play with no following any particular thing & if there is no challenge fitting then its fine as I really enjoyed making this.
