Vintage Mothers Day

Hello my lovelies how are you all today? 

I'm here today with a card I made a couple of days ago when I saw my lovely teamies card for

 Live & Love Crafts Challenge. She inspired me sooooooooo much I made a card straight away, couldnt blog it til today though cus of DT commitments.

I made a Mother's Day card for my step-mum, check how organised I am I even ordered her present online after I finished the card............my new year resolution so far is going well ;0)

Hubster brought me loads of vintage-y items for crimbo, Pion & Maja papers etc. I love vintage, vintage & shabby chic or french chic actually............I would have a home full of this sort of stuff.

Antique brass corner, the postcard I cut out of 'Memories' paper & distressed the edges just a little bit. I made a double bow with seam binding & crinkled it so it didnt look new & added a cabochon I made myself. I added 'Lace' & some gorgeous 'Organza Trim', 2 WOC flowers, the berries are Magnolia & a 'White Poppy' at the bottom.

I added a Tim Holtz paper clip to the postcard & I also added 'Pearl String' to the flowers.

The papers I've used are all Maja Design Vintage Summer Basics,  1932 (you can see some of it under the bow), 1903 & 1905, they have all been inked as well. The image is Pion 'Ladies' from Grandma's Attic range, I got quite a few of these, they are lush. I also attached Pearl Trim around the edge of the image. There is also a small doily from my stash in there somewhere lol & I added a Scalloped Pearl to the corner.

Saturated Canary DT Card - Sing To Me

Hello my lovelies how are you all? 

I am here today with my Saturated Canary card, yes its a new challenge & this time its my turn to choose a theme. Now for those who know me you will know that after my family my biggest love is music & dance..........so my theme is..............

'SING TO ME'

..............make something inspired by a song, how easy is that. Now Jan & Feb are busy birthday months for me & I have my step-brothers in 3 weeks time so this is for him. He goes fishing with hubster & is his fave hobby. So I went with a bit of fun for this challenge.........

The song that inspired this is the new internet sensation, the singing fish market man who sings

The papers are Websters 'Yacht Club' & I've added a button, which is from MME, sssh we wont tell him its a christmas button ;0)

I have added seagulls, cus where I live we always have seagulls. The sentiment I made myself & then curved & inked it. The hook is a sticker from.............erm cant remember.......lol

6x6 Card Blank is from my stash & I added Jute Fabric across the centre.

The image of course is by Krista 'I Got This Boys' & is a digi image which you can of course get instantly from her shop Saturated Canary for that instant yummy fix.

I have to say I think I giglled my ass off the whole time I made this card, it was fun lol. I'm sure my brother-in-law will like................anything to do with fishing he likes & of course he will enjoy the added humour.

Happy 1st Birthday

Hello my lovelies so sorry I'm late today in between sorting out the van which got towed to the garage today & then finally getting a courtesy car delivered to us this afternoon.

Anyway it is my grandaughter's 1st Birthday today Happy Birthday Payton darling......

I cant believe she is a year old already, it doesn't seem so long ago I was telling you about her birth......how time flies by........ Anyway I thought I would show you the birthday card & me & gramps that I made........although at this point it doesnt have the sentiment......

I have used one of my favourite Elisabeth Bell stamp, I so love this little girl & when I look at her I see Payton as she gets that little bit older ;0)

Sorry again for the poop pics..........its killing me :0( I have used lace & seam binding from my stash.

This is 'Sweet Cheeks' by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD & I coloured her in copics. I coloured her with dark hair as we think she will be like her daddy, blonde from the start leading to very dark.

Shading done with prisma pencils & also added Pearl Dots around the image.

Paper I used is Magnolia Apples & Cherries '50's Icecream' & Once Upon A Time 'Pink Starlit', I've had these for soooooo long. I've also inked the edges. I made a double bow with seam binding & attached a  Scalloped Pearl to the centre. Added a chipboard numer 1 & added a few flowers, tried to keep them to a min ;0)

Here is the real sweet thing of the day.............

Payton on her new bike what her mammy & daddy got her, they put it in the car so we could see her on it. We should have gone theirs today but we have no way of getting Natalie over there :0(

This is her daddy bring her up the drive-way, isn't that bike darn cute, they arrived the same time as our courtesy car lol. Thats Craig sorting out the paperwork with the bloke who delivered it. Its not the one with the boot open although I would rather drive that one, thats Ben's car. 

So we now have transport for pooping to shops etc we just cant go out as a family cus Natalie cant travel in it. Never mind though its only until next week.

Well thats it from me I will be round to see you all later, I did some last night but then something happened to my blog & blogger took it off until I verified it today. Its never done that before.

Papertake Weekly GDT - Anything Goes

Hello my lovelies HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!! May 2013 bring peace, happiness, good health & lots of love to you all. Well 1 year ago today Megan was in slow labour with my grandaughter, now a year later I can tell you she is expecting my next grandchild wooooo hooooooo. Yes my new year has started fantastic I am sooooooooooo excited to have another grandchild on the way, this one wasnt planned but they are still happy & excited.

Anyhoo onto my post which is my GDT for Papertake Weekly & this week the challenge is....

ANYTHING GOES........

.........nice easy one to start the new year ;0)

I have used a fabulous Manga type image that was free, I found this through my fab teamie Wenda over at CME, there was loads of awesome ones!!!! This one is 'Venus Goth' & from an artist called Sureya.

I have added a Marianne corner, fab distressed 'Storm Cloud' seam binding & a butterfly cabochon from my stash.

I coloured this fab image with copics........

E13, E21, E00, E000, R22, R20

N7, N5, N3, N1 & Black & White prisma pencils

B97, B95, B93, B91

I also did the white lengths with white gel pen & the laces I did with a blue Stabilo pen.

I soooooooooo enjoyed colouring this & I have a lot more ;0)

Added a gorgeous Prima Flower, a Joy Crafts die cut in half, some antique bronze chain & a key charm, which I cant remember where it was from at the mo :0(

The paper is Glitz 'Vintage Blue' which is on sale at the moment at My Crafty Heart, I inked the edges with dark blue ink & matted onto pale grey card to match the grey tones in the image & papers ;0) Added a couple of Melissa Frances pearls to the corners.

Sorry for the poor photo's I'm really struggling with my lamps, I do have bulbs on order & I made sure to order extra for spares lol. Will be so glad when they are delivered!!

Thank you for the birthday wishes yesterday, we had a fabulous day. Although our van ended up off the road, hubster went the chemist to pick up Natalie's meds & the power steering went while he was out, was lucky not to crash. RAC came out & the power steering pump is broke so needs a new one, unfortunately cus its new year we have to wait until tomorrow. We are all house bound until then as the van is needed for Natalie's wheelchair so we cant take her anywhere :0(

My Crafty Heart DT Card - Blowing Hearts

Hello my lovelies how are you all? Well 22 years ago today I was lying in a hospital bed after giving birth prematurely to my son, he wasn't due til Febuary but New years Eve he decided was his time to come. Although he had a struggle to pull through he did & today he is 22 years old, it goes so quickly I remember it like it was yesterday. I'm soooooooooo proud of him, he has grown into a fine young man.

Anyway here I am with My Crafty Heart DT card, a little bit late but here eventually

I've used one of my new Magnolia's from the latest collection, these came christmas & I had packed everything away........I was still excited that hubster had got them for me though :0)

I have added Prima flowers & added stickles to them, a Marianne Tiny flower, a Marianne Leaves.

The lace is from my stash & the heart is from a MS punch. Added a Prima Papillons, I love these they are sooooooo pretty.

This Magnolia is called 'Tilda Blowing Hearts' & she was coloured with copics.

Copic Marker Europe DT Card

Hello everyone hope everyone had a lovely christmas with their loved ones. Ours was fabulous, loved every minute of it & Payton absolutely loved it, she loved opening her pressies & loved seeing what pressies she had.

My blog has been quiet cus I decided to have some time off & enjoy the whole of christmas with my family & not worry about crafting or blogging. I did start some blogging boxing day from my kindle whilst in bed but it was only a bit, I so enjoyed the time off though ;0)

Anyway I thought I would start my first post back with my CME card, this is my 1st card for them & boy am I nervous, my 1st card of 2012 for them & also my last of 2012 lol how weird does that sound lol. Now this card I coloured up before christmas.

The papers I think are older Pink Paislee 12x12, I've had them a couple of years but I love the vintage-ness to them.

This is the inside I added pockets each side, one side to hold a cd (this is not the one I'm sending this is one hubster brought me just before crimbo, I lurve clubbng music) the other side I put tags inside the pocket, one with a sentiment & the other for me to write my message on.

Lace I cant remember where I got it tbh. I've used a Joy Crafts die for the corner & inked it with walnut di.

The tags I cut out using my WOJ tag die. The sentiment is a Penny Black one which is now on special.

I have used one of my older Magnolia's as they have been very neglected, 'Tilda singing carols'.

I have coloured her in copics then added snowtex to look like it was snowing & to add to the vintage look I heat embossed her, cracked it then inked to make it look older.

Added Marianne 'Poinsettia' & 'Holly' to the front & added specks of snowtex.

Happy Boxing Day

Hello everyone...........I wont shout too loud incase some of you are maybe hung-over or have bad heads from all the festivities ;0) Me & my family dont drink.........well we are mad & stupid anyway.......imagine if we drank!!! Wow I dont think the world could cope with that lol.

Ok so my card for you today I made for a friend, I brought the image as soon as I saw it released as I knew this image had to be used for her. However I was soooooooo nervous about it colouring it in, I've never coloured one of these before...........

........it turned out not too bad for a first go though ;0)  I have used 'Lhasa Apso With Santa Hat' by Mo Manning.

Papers are scraps from 12x12, I think they are Paislee christmas ones.

I coloured these cute doggy in copics & a tiny bit of prisma pencil in area's. I've also added glitter to his hat.

Ribbon, lace & doily are from my stash. I've added 'Holly' & flowers from WOC, I've stickled the flowers.for some bling, well this lady lurves her bling ;0) 

Added a Joy Crafts corner & inked it with.......would you believe I cant remember what I inked the corner with.....oops! I'ved used spellbinders die for the matting behind the image.

Well I hope you are all still having a joyous time with your families we certainly are. Will be round as soon as I can my lovelies, please dont feel as though you need to comment peeps, seriously families are much more important this time of year........well all of the time but this time of year even more I mean lol.

We are at my sons all day today but I will get come round to visit you all tonight :0)

Happy Christmas Eve

Hello all my lovelies how are you all? Happy Christmas Eve to you all.

I am getting so excited although rushed off my wee feet as no doubt everyone of you is. We always have a mini buffet for tea on christmas eve & then have family time watching christmas movies, we've done this since the kids were born, its tradition. So I have the day to get cleaned & then do a load of cooking. I also do a buffet for christmas day, a bigger one as well as christmas dinner & of course I have family coming for dinner so I have quite a few to cook for, so as you can imagine lots of cooking & preparing today ;0)

Anyway I wanted to come on to wish you all a very Merry Christmas as I'm going to spend the next few days with my family & just enjoy the moments that come. I already have my music playing loudly & I was dancing around the kitchen like an idiot lol.

My craft stuff is packed away, my cupboard is shut up & locked............I do have a couple of scheduled posts for cards I made a week ago, 1 more than that lol, I wont be around in blogland though. I will however try my very best to get round to each of you today at some point today to wish you all a merry christmas individually.

However if I dont I have something for you below ;0)

A Gift Box

Hello everyone how are you all? Well its our last weekend before santie comes.........are you getting excited? I am soooooo excited, you would think I was 5 years old lol.

Today I have something that my youngest son asked me to make for his girlfriend Nikita. Its a giftbox to put his present in. He's brought a beautiful gold & diamond necklace bless him, he's a good saver, he just gets his £20 pound a week pocket money & £5 goes towards his contract phone, I pay the rest as the Iphones are dearer.

Anyways here is what I made............sorry about pics, 1 of my daylight bulbs blew & only found out I had spares after Nikita had gone home last night, with her present, so cant take anymore pics :0(

I have used 2 Magnolia stamps as Jake didnt want it to be christmassy so she could have it as a keepsake all year round.

I have used 'Tilda With Cozy Heart' & 'I Love You' both from the Sweet Crazy Love collection 2012.

This is the inside, this is just a giftbox I had in my drawer, its a pink one thats gone into it.

The link for this fab tutorial is HERE. The only thing I did different was instead of using one piece of paper, I used 2 papers & a layer of card in between as I wanted a stronger feel to it. 

Jake chose the sentiment to go in the bottom of the box part which I put onto a doily. The images were coloured with copics. I also thought I would show you a pic of the necklace he has brought her, its so beautiful. Not sure if she will be wearing it to school though when they go back lol.

All the flowers are from WOC. Lace & ribbon are from my stash. I also added a Pearl Heart in the centre of the 'O' & a Scalloped Pearl in the top corner.

The papers are Magnolia 'White Lace' Lazy Summer Days collection & 'Angel Love' Once Upon A Time collection, sorry cant find the link for this one, I've had this for a long time.

I also added some gorgeous 'Organza Rose' Trim along the bottom &some 'Cheese Cloth' behind the image. I also used a Magnolia 'So Wrapped Lovely' tag inside. The heart was cut from a Marianne die & I used a Joy Crafts die for the spine.

Well thats it I'm off to carry on catching up with you all before I go the hospital. So if I dont get round to you this morning I will be round tonight my lovelies.
