CES Challenges DT Cards..........Embossing

Good morning my lovelies how are you all? Those that are unwell I wish you all better.

Well its Saturday so you know what that means CES Challenges & this week our lovely Jane has chosen the theme & it is EMBOSSING.....dry or heat it doesn't matter we want to see any.

I warn you there are a lot of pics as I couldn't decide which card to use so I'm showing both lol.

I followed the sketch on The Sugar Bowl for both but missed out one little bit on the second one so only 1 I'm entering there.

A baby card for a blue one & of course I've used 'Bambino' digi stamp from Sugar Nellie's Simply Adorable range. I've only ever done 1 baby card before so I'm getting the practice in lol.

Sorry about the crooked piccy you will see tho in the next pic that the lace is actually straight lol.

He is coloured with Copics.

Papers are Websters Pages & these & the scalloped card I've used you can get from Crafty Emma's Store.

Footprint ribbon & mini blue mini safety pins are from my stash & the white lace is from Bunny Zoe's.

Flower made using Magnolia Doo Hickey with a blue button & bakers twine.

I used 'Baby' embossing folder & lightly dusted it with blue chalk.

Now onto a card for a pink one. For this I used a Sugar Nellie stamp, it was the 2nd stamp I ever brought last April & I'm so ashamed to say it is only now getting inked for the 1st time.......

This is 'Caitlyn' isn't she so cute, she's just lush & I cant believe its took me so long to ink her.

Papers again are Websters & gingham is from my stash. The embossing folder I used I got from Sir Stamp-A-Lot but they dont have it anymore so here is one I've found on Ebay, I also lightly dusted the words with pink chalk. The lace is from my stash also.

She has been coloured with Copics & I added tiny pink gems to each flower on her hat.

The inside has been done to compliment the front, it also has the same embossing folder inside. All of the flowers & the leaf I got from Crafty Emma's.

Simply Adorable Thomas.............

Good evening my lovelies bet you didnt think I would be back especially this late lol.......my body has just gone past the tirement stage now & I decided to craft to take my mind off things.

I have made a boys card tonight & do you know what I really enjoyed making it & I found it all flowed together nice & easily. Surprising what a good selection of papers & fab sketch will do lol.

This is the adorable 'Thomas' from Sugar Nellie Adorable range which of course you can get from Funky Kits. I do have a slight complaint which is a first as I truly love this shop, however on the digital side I think you should be able to buy 1 single image, I have tried a few times & it tells me I have to spend a minimum of £5. Whilst I completely understand minimum spends I think digital items should not have this & this then makes you buy at least 2......which to me is unfair. Good job I love ALL of these adorables lol & have to have them all anyway lol.

Thomas is indeed a digi image & he was coloured with Copics.

Papers used are my new Bo Bunny 'Blast Off' this pad is lush & the colours are fab so out came my bright A4 card. Raffia from my stash & the bunting I made with my WOJ Pennants die, I used the metal die to cut out the paper & I drew around the plastic template onto card to layer underneath & attached Bakers Twine along the top.



Well thats it for me Natalie is still awake & not settled yet so I will do some hopping until she settles.

Crafty Purple Frog DT Card..........Things Of Beauty

Good morning my lovely friends how are you all today? We had glorious sunshine here this morning & now the heavens have just opened. I've not been to bed all night cus I wasnt very well, dont worry I've had an hour this morn, but I have however caught up on my commenting I think. If I have missed anyone please give me an elbow cus my brain weren't working too well lol.

Anyway I totally forgot all about doing this post.....doh!!! So I will crack on.

Today it is time for Crafty Purple Frog Challenge & this fortnight we would like to see

Things Of Beauty

Now I was late doing my card cus of health but I didnt want to let the girls down so its a lightning quick card so be warned its not my best lol. However the image is the best.......cus when I saw the challenge I had to use my most favourite ever sweet pea image & is of course........

'The Love Is Gone' by Ching-Chou Kuik....this really is my most fave image of all Ching-Chou Kuik. She really is a thing of beauty.

She is of course a decoupage which you can get from the Crafty Purple Frog Store.

I used a framed nestie to cut out the black card frame & then layered her up onto that. I tied some black lace in the corner & down this bottom corner I a handmade crochet flower & a black magnolia rose which is so pretty IRL. I've also added bits of glitter to the image but its not showing up too well.

Crafts & Me Challenges DT Card...........A Sneaky Peeky.........

Good morning my lovelies how are you all today? First I will say sorry if I didnt get round to you yesterday I will be catching up this morning before I do my DT work. I was stuck up the hospital for 4 hours yesterday I had to get undressed 4 times & into a gown in different departments......I am now the 'Fastest dresser in the North......East' lol.It really drained me & I ended up in bed when I got back in pain & shattered lol. Still no further forward but the last test I had was a CT scan so depends what the result of that will be.

Anyway onto my post which today is for Crafts & Me Challenges & this week its us 'Rockin Rubbah Girlies' bringing you an easy peasy challenge of GEMS & PEARLS.

We all love our gems & pearls dont we & dont forget it doesn't have to be a stamp that Crafts & Me carry altho we really do LOVE to see them.

Today I have a new release stamp that is due very soon & is from the lovely Jasmine-Beckett Griffith

This is 'Rose Fairy' isn't she beautiful. I used Kraft card again cus I really enjoyed doing my last card & also I pictured her with white hair for some reason lol.

The big light has broke in my craft room so my piccy's are not great so I retook them in the conservatory this morning so thats why they are different to the challenge pics.

I used a WOJ border die to give a fancy edge to the card. The twill sentiment is from Crafts & Me store.

Her skin has been coloured with Copics & all the red is a copic as well.

For the skin I used E01 E11 R20.....I dont normally use E01 but as its Kraft card it looks really nice.

Everything else was coloured with Prisma pencil & blended with sansador.

I added glitter to bits of her hair & the rose.

The flowers are a mixture from my stash & Wild Orchid Crafts.

IRL this really is beautiful & I'm really quite happy with it which really does make a change for me lol.

Krafty hAnglar sailing by..................

Good evening my lovelies its late & I've got the hospital tomorrow so I'm just gonna get on tonight & not babble........

Tonight I have followed a sketch & a challenge over at Cute Card Thursday to use Kraft, now its not just use Kraft but put an image onto kraft & colour it with your usual mediums. Lucky for me my big bulk supply of kraft came today so I was able to take part, now I've only done this onec before so I'm still learning.

I've used hanglar boy from my sailor kit, this really is my favourite set from all the hanglars.

The fabric sentiment I found in my stash.....which I had more of these they are fab!!! The boat wheel charm is also from my stash.

I've of course decorated inside to compliment the front but not made it as 3d so its suitable to write on. All the paper is Websters Pages 'Spring/Yacht/Country' & I got it from Crafty Emma's Store as well as the Dew Drops & the Bakers Twine. The lined paper with Notes written on is also from the same websters pages.

hanglar has had his skin coloured with Copics, I cheated lol & the rest of him has been coloured with Prisma's. I have layered hanglar up so he is 3d altho you cant really see the effect here it looks fab IRL.

Well thats it from me I'm gonna try do some blog-hopping before I go in the shower then off to bed. I have to see a professor tomorrow apparently.....I ain't bothered what he is along as he helps me to get rid of these pains....wish me luck peeps.

Melinda is blowing kisses to you all..............

Good evening my lovelies I'm back I know I'm not normally on a saturday night but I made a card for a challenge sketch a few days ago & forgot all about it & the challenge ends in a couple of hours so I thought I would move my bum & get it posted.

I also combined the challenge with WOJ which is a colour scheme.............I sooooo enjoyed making this card I only coloured the image yesterday tho lol.

This is a stamp my fabby hubby got me for crimbo & I've finally inked her up now which is why she is blowing kisses I think lol.......wooo hoooo I'm out of that darn bag I heard her say lol.

This is 'Melinda Blowing Kisses' by the artist Elisabeth Bell (who I love) for WOJ.

I so enjoyed making a card in this colour scheme, Aqua, Pink & Cream...... Flowers are a mixture from WOC & Emma's.

This is the inside. The beautiful paper is one of Bo Bunny's latest pad 'Gabrielle' this is sooooo drool worthy

I used the sketch to base my design around so I followed the sketch but made my card into the sketch if you get what I mean lol.

This little beauty is of course coloured with Copics. I will put the colours on later if I remember them lol.

For the card I used 12x12 cream card & shaped the front to match the top layer of the sketch.

CES Challenges DT card...........Embellish it!!

Well good morning all my lovely fantastic friend out there. I just want to say a HUGE thank you to you all I really do love you to bits & the support you give is overwhelming tbh......you really are fabulous mmwah!

Right onto the matter in hand before the boss comes & puts me in the naughty corner for being late ssssshhhhh dont tell her.

Right I'm here to bring you our new challenge today for CES Challenges & it is our lovely Kaylou's turn & she chose the theme of Embellish It!!!

I can hear the oohing & aahhing....we all love our embellishments dont we, gosh I couldnt be without mine.

Now I found an image this week when I came back & its a company I didnt know about.....I know shocker isn't it?? Anyway it was off the Top 3 on CES last Saturday so I popped over ot their store, you know to have a peekskie as you do............mmmmm yes I'm now booked in with a psychiatrist to start a plan on my new addiction.........my excuse is tho right is this 'I dont want you, my lovely friends of getting bored seeing the same images all the time'........................lol ssshhhh it works on hubby lol

Anyway on to the carrrrrrrrdddddddddddd

Here is 'Dancing Mae' & she is from Some Odd Girl........let me tell you these are a dream to colour.

I wanted this card to be fun, colourful & poppy-outty......you know kinda 3D....you know what I mean...I hope lol.

Flower I made just using 2 different sized punches pinching the ends in & spraying them with spray & shine & then attaching a brad to the middle.

She is coloured with Copics which I cant remember the colours as I coloured her as soon as I got her lol which was days before making the card sorry peeps.

The inside is decoarted to compliment the inside.

I've used my new Fancy Pants paper from Crafty Emma's store I love the vibrant colours on them. 

Scalloped card & smooth white card for the image are also from Emma's.

The brads were off Ebay & everything else is from my wee stash.

Quick Update...........

Good evening my lovelies how are you all? Are you ready for the weekend?

Well Natalie is back home now safe & sound. As most of you know Natalie has been through at the Alan Shearer centre since Monday so we took these few days to decorate her bedroom cus its near impossible to do it when she is here..........hence why it still hadnt been done. We finished the last of the painting yesterday & then all we had to do today was wallpaper the one wall, make drapes & wait patiently for the wardrobes to be delivered.

However the Alan Shearer centre phone about 5 last night to say they were having a problem with her peg site. As a lot of you know Natalie is fed through a peg in her stomach as she cant handle any solids or liquid via mouth. The carers couldnt get anything in her out & they phoned us so we told them to check it hadnt burst. A peg stays in an open hole in her stomach & inside it has a small balloon that we fill up with about 6ml of water obviously that balloon can burst at times which then means the peg is not secure & if a peg falls out the hole can then close & seal in a matter of hours. They took out any remaining water but couldnt get the peg out so the only thing they could do was take her to the A&E department. Unfortunately it became a long night as they had been a crash & a stabbing apparently so it was really busy. By the end of the night none of us could get the peg out so they had to admit her for observation & insert a NG tube down her nose & throat to be able to give her her important meds. If it couldnt be removed today it would of meant an operation to re-site it & while this is not a big operation Natalie has had over 20 ops in 18 years so I didnt want her to go through yet another.

Anyway as luck has it we managed to free the peg today.....a valve inside had broken stopping the balloon from fully deflating which is why we couldnt get it out........phewwwwwwww....

So we are back home & Natalie is in bed watching a dvd..........yeah she doesn't sleep well lol.

Hopefully we will get her room finished over the weekend & then I can start Jakes as I have 4 wardrobes arriving any day for his & his sisters bedroom. I have to say tho that hubby has done most of it as he wont let me do much bless him.

I am now going to do my DT commenting then I will be round to catch up with you all. I'm sooooo sorry I'm behind that darn thing called life does like to get in the way doesn't it lol. I havnt even read my comments

This is a scheduled & very quick post as Natalie got admitted to hospital last night, nothing serious but will explain later.
