Copic & Promarker Storage....

Good morning my friends how are you all this lovely sunny morning? Its soooo beautiful up here today I may muster some energy up later & take the dogs a walk along the beach......we'll see lol.

Well last night I finished my Copic/Promarker storage or should I say part finished I've still got to add number & colour stickers lol. I thought I would show you my nearly finished project. Now this isn't my idea I saw it somewhere on the net last summer I think it was but I dismayed it as I already had Promarker storage at the time that suited my needs. However needs change & my storage had to. Most of you know that I use Promarkers & Copics & Prisma pencils but they come in their own storage tin, I do tend to colour more with Copics lately..... Anyway I dont have a particular place to colour I have a desk in the conservatory where I do my colouring or I do it in my craft room, in my bedroom & even the living room I love to just sit & relax & colour images. Due to this I need storage that is much more mobile cus in the summer I love to also sit in the garden or on the hammock & colour images......its soooo relaxing lol.

So a few months ago a brought a case off Ebay....a large one so I can have all my pens in one place & altogether........yes its took me 3 months to get my ass in gear & do this lol.

This is a large aluminium cd case otherwise know as DJ Flight Case as us DJ's use them for carrying our cds & mps3 discs.......I have 5 large ones up the attic full of mp3 disks from our days as DJ's lol.

IMPORTANT (I think anyway lol)

Now I would like to point out an important factor, the cases known as DJ Flight Case normally have the handles at the front which would be better to avoid for this storage solution to work at its best. Try get the ones with the handle on top like the one above.......things stay in the same place when carrying then, nothing gets tipped up!!

The cases come with plastic cd cases inside with the plastic strips on which just slide along the top. The lid of the case I use it to keep my clipboard which I ALWAYS use to colour on I know if the ink seeps through the paper it just seeps onto the clipboard. I also have my Copic Colour Chart & my Promarker colour charts there as well which are both laminated so they are always protected.

ALWAYS REMEMBER TO USE THE SAME CARD FOR DOING THESE CHARTS AS YOU DO FOR IMAGES THAT WAY YOU WILL GET THE TRUE COLOUR YOU ARE WANTING TO ACHIEVE.

Now I havnt been on Copics for that long & whilst I do have all the Ciao colours I only have a few sketch lol. The copics have still got have all their number stickers on the lids saying what number they are. I only buy sketch if I want a colour that isnt in the Ciao. The promarkers do have some stickers on from when they were in my old storage however I didnt keep up with it unfortunately & then has they ran out I did the silly thing of throwing them away lol.

Yes I also keep a few images in the lid as well lol.

I am in the middle of putting all the colour spots on the promarker lids. To make it easier I've just printed off another Promarker chart (using the same card as I do for images) I'm going to colour each square up & then once they are all coloured I will punch small spots out of each colour & attach them to the Promarkers lids. So just by looking at the lids you will see roughly what colour it is or at least what row its in, depends how to want to sort your pens.

The cases fit more Copics in as they are slimmer even the sketch as you can turn them on their side. I've put my copics in order according to my colour chart so when I refer to my chart to see what colour I want to use I know what row its in so you can either find the right pen(when numbered it will be easier lol) or you can take the whole case out (like pic above) & then you put it back once finished.

I also keep spare cases in & I have a case with some pen lids in off  old pens cuse incase 1 cracks or I lose one. I have a case for copic lids & one for Promarkers. Also a good tip once you have put the coloured spots on your lids when the pen runs dry & you throw the pen keep the lid then rather than have to re-spot it you can just transfer the old lid onto your new pen. I learnt this through not doing this myself hence why so many no longer have spots.....it took me a while click onto that idea lol. I am holding a spotted lid in the pic.....sorry about the lens cover showing, not enough hands lol.

My whole case of pens. My Copics & Promarkers all in the one place & all mobile so I can take it wherever I want & my handle is on top so the pens always stay in their position. I did have the cd/dvd rack storage for my promarkers but that only works if you stay in the one room all the time I dont as I like to spend as much time with the family as I can so this works perfect for me. Even if the boys are playing on the Wii or the xbox with their dad instead of their own rooms I sit in the living room & colour some images.......the stress levels I witness when the men are on their games is so funny I do end up laughing more than colouring lol.

Anyway thats it for me I'm gonna peg out my sons bedding outside & then have a little play down the bottom of my garden in my little hobbit....well large-ish hobbit lol.

Crafts & Me DT card - Petal Melody

Hello all my lovely friends how are you all today? Did you all have a nice weekend? Well my daughter is back at school today after being off for the last 2 weeks........hopefully she will cope well & they wont push her too hard especially physio.

Today I am showing you 'Petal Melody' by Lemon Shortbread which is exclusive to Crafts & Me only you can find her & her friends here.

Here is my version of her.....

As you can see the weather is beautiful up here along the coast so I took advantage & took the photo's outside. She is coloured with Copics.....unfortunately I dont have the colours used I kept them out so I would write the list down but then yesterday I sorted a new storage solution for my pens as I needed something to hold my Copics & my Promarkers & being mobile so accidently put the all the pens in order lol. I will put piccy's on my blog soon of my new pen storage altho its not a new concept.

Speaking of Promarkers Teresa has them in the store now so pop on over here to take a peek.

The bottom edge of the card I did myself I was playing over the weekend to give my cards a fancy edge lol. So the edge was done with a die & I even kept the hearts that were cut out cus you just never know when you could use them & I ended up using a few on here lol. They are inked up with Weathered Wood distress ink.

The papers are from a lovely friend, thank you again soooo much Marie mmwah. I dont know what sort they are & to be honest I did not want to use them they really are that pretty & it made me weep cutting them :0(

I did stroke them for a very long time tho & drooled somewhat to lol.

The inside is decorated to compliment the front. For the actual layout I followed a sketch.

Here she is in all her glory.........she is soooo pretty & an absolute dream to colour she will be used often because she is perfect for so many occasions I think. Altho I've barely used a stamp twice cus I have that many to ink up......I am trying my best to get through them so I am stopping myself from buying any more til all my existing ones are inked..........heaven help me lol.

Teresa has had new stock in so as well as some Promarkers she also has the new Kraftin Kimmie stamps as well. She will also be getting some new Sweet Pea stamps so you will want to keep your eyes open for them as well......I certainly will lol.

Good evening all my lovelies have you all enjoyed your weekend? Have you had your chillaxing time lol?

Tonight I thought I would make a card to put 1 of my coloured images on, the ones that I colour & put them in a box then they never see the light of day again.....do you have any of those? That was until I saw this paper & thought it was perfect for The Sugar Bowl sketch with the theme of 'Spring'........so thats what I did.........

Are you scratching your head?? Yeah me too.....yes my coloured images are STILL in their box cus after I had done this card in lemons & grey I thought it would be fab with just a grey drawing........

....Enter 'Connie' I coloured her skin only & sat her right there & I think she sits well there. She is of course a digi from Funkykits.

The inside is done to compliment the front of course.

Paper is from Etsy, lace, pearls & sunflower is from my stash.

Other flowers are from Crafty Emma's.

The bottom edge of the card I did myself on my Grand Calibur.

CES Challenges DT Card.........Come Sing With Us - tra la laaaaaaaaa

Guess what its me again bet you didnt expect that did you lol. Of course I am back with another DT card & this time its Crafty Emma's Store Challenge.

Thank you to everyone who joined in with Emma's male theme last week boy o boy did you knock our socks off with those.....they were all awesome!!

This week its our lovely Carrie's turn to choose the theme & she has chosen a fun one.

A Favourite Song or Be Inspired By One.

......tra la laaaaaa wow its a good job you cant hear me.......wow there are dogs howling now!!

I did 2 cards one I was gonna post yesterday but I fell really ill in the afternoon so I kept it just incase I could finish off my DT card, so this is actually my back up card but this song is still in my top 10 & believe me my list of songs is HUGE....well I was a DJ for a number of years so I got to love a lotttttt of songs lol.

This one tho makes me think of hubby & altho I normally like my clubby beaty songs this one is a nice slower one. First tho I will show you the card......

My song is 'Written In The Stars' by Westlife here is the link its a lovely song & makes me always think of Craig. Its not my fave but when I finish my other card I will tell you the song & the little romantic story behind the song lol........I will give you a clue its another Westlife one....hubby loves their songs lol.

Anyway back to the card this is of course Fizzy Moon 'Wish Upon A Star' Emma has such a huge stock of Fizzy Moon in & not just the stamps she has the whole kit & kaboodle including the very yummy Fizzy Moon papers.... I'm not normally a teddy bear person unless its Teddy Bo lol but I saw this on the fabulously talented Rach's blog & well I had to have it.....however its sat in its envelope for over 2 weeks I'm a bad bad girl.......... I have added a real button to him found this lovely lilac one in my button jar & used bakers twine also from Emma's.

The blue rose also has 'Waterfall' stickles added.

Except for the blue A4 card, gems, ribbons & die cuts which are all from my stash everything on the card is from Crafty Emma's Store. The papers are the gorgeous Fizzy Moon 6x6 papers they are gorgeous with a fabulous sparkle on them.

Fizzy Moon himself has been coloured with Prisma pencils, the ribbon was covered in 'Waterfall' stickles & I also added it to the little stars & I added some 'Pearly Stuff' The sentiment comes with the stamp actually you get a few sentiments with it which is fab. The swirls & leaves I used my Marianne dies & some lilac card.

Well thats it from me we really hope to see all your song inspired cards this week.....we expect to have a lot of tunes stuck in our heads lol.......my poor family are gonna suffer this week cus it would be ignorant not to sing along with you lol. Sweet Stampin DT Card

Good morning everyone how are you all this fine morning? Actually I dont even know if it is fine as its really 11pm friday night & I'm scheduling this for this morning.........keeping fingers crossed that it publishes as the last few times it s let me down......bad bad blogger!!!

I would also like to welcome all my new followers (waving like a lunatic) I'm so happy & honoured to have you here & I hope I continually provide inspiration....mmwah..

Sweet Stampin Challenges

Yes its team Fluff's turn this week to show you some inspiration. First tho we would like to thank everyone who entered the movie themed challenge it seems you like that a wee bit better than the sketch the week before.......we had very few entries that week. Hopefully this week will be better still so I hope you will all join in as we need to make the girls job hard for picking the spotlights lol.

This week the theme we are going for is

Slugs, Snails & Puppy Dog Tails....

Our sponsor this week is Whimsy Stamps.

Which basically means a card for a boy.....a real propper boy who loves to get dirty!! Think boys, mud, insects etc......

Now you know me & these male cards (I'm sure they are doing it to me on purpose you know lol)

Well here is my boys card....

It is a Kenny K image 'Tug O War' which I just think is awesome to be honest & whenever I've played this with my boys & hubby we have also got dirty lol......such fun tho.

These little boys have been coloured with Copics

All the papers & sentiment are digi printables papers from Pink Gem & the sentiment from the Cutting Cafe.

The button, string & brown saddle stitch ribbon(altho you can barely see it lol) are from my stash & the brown leather string is from my jewellery stash. I was asked to make a bracelet last year & I brought a load in all different colours as you do lol. The brown card used for matting is the rolls from inside wrapping paper at crimbo lol.

Now with tug of war you need people the other end.............

......here they are......this is one fo the reasons I love digi's cus you can do things like this. I just mirrored the image & stuck it to the inside. I kept it plain white on the inside so I just layered another piece of white card & then stuck the image on top....it gives it the same thickness & feel as the front then if you get what I mean lol.

Good evneing

Good evening my lovelies woo hoo thank crunchie its friday I sooooo love the weekends time to spend with your family....I miss the kids so much when they are at school altho Nats hasnt been for the last 2 weeks fingers crossed tho she will go on Monday if she's well enough as she is still coughing quite a bit. Jake we are not sure now if it is tonsilitus as it looks more like abcesses now at the back of his mouth/throat hopefully tho we will feel better over the weekend we have brought him a few things from the chemist.....so fingers crossed may have healthy-ish kiddies next week lol.

I havnt got a card for you tonight my plan is to have Friday night with my family as on a Saturday morning I have my CES card & every fortnight my Sweet Stampin one too so Friday nights is now family night woo hoo.

I've also been busy shopping as I finally kicked my printer into touch it did my head in & I was going through loads of ink cleaning it all the time so the vein in my heed popped yesterday & it went the journey. So we quickly went up Argoose & brought a new one with an extended warranty just incase it requires booting lol. Today I put clothes in the dryer cus I wont dry towels & underwear on the line & it was taking soooo long to dry the things so hubby told me go on the net & choose a new one. WOOO HOOOO my washer is an 11kg one so my loads have to get halved before they go in the dryer as thats only 6kg so now I've ordered a 9kg dryer which gets delivered tomorrow from the same company I got my washer off. Funny thing tho my hubby decided to have a look at the dryer afterwards & well the inside had collected fluff over a period of time so now it works perfectly lol......never mind I still needed a bigger one lol. So now the un-broken dryer is going in my craft room in the corner so I can save it for when my son gets a flat....up to now he has nearly all his flat furnished as I've been getting furniture over the last 6 months. I wish someone had done this for me lol.........I'm hoping he can manage to buy towels & stuff himself lol.

Well I'm off now I will catch up with you all tomorrow I still keep having probs with getting onto my dashboard sometimes it works then other times it doesn't......darn thing needs sacking!!

Crafty Purple Frog Challenge DT Card & some exciting news!!!

Good morning everyone hope you are all fine & dandy today. Sorry I'm late this morning I've got my youngest lad Jake off school today with what looks like Tonsilitus....he did go school this morn but then had to bring him back, so I'm gonna try make this post a quickie cus I'm running late.

First tho I have to tell you the first of my exciting news Iam a SWEET PEA STAMPER wooooo hooooo yes can you believe it they chose me as one of their new dt to join their fabulous team I cant believe it. I really am truly honoured & to be honest I even told my hubby that I wouldn't get picked as the talent was amazing from other applicants. I thank them from the bottom of my heart I really am honoured....its a good job you didnt see my dance I did mind lol. The rest of my news well.................nah you will have to wait for that.................lol.

Anyway onto my post which of course is for Crafty Purple Frog

Isn't she so beautiful. Now cus a few of us girlies went for the same one I went for pyramage for a change I do normally go for decoupage but if time is a problem them these pyramages are fabulous they really are.

The papers are K&Co which was one of my first pads lol. Since having more storage in my craft room I have different brands in different drawers.......yes I have a huge amount of paper its a weakness & I'm currently seeking advice from.....Craft Shops he he hee. It must be working cus my new order of paper from Emma's came yesterday lol.

Crafts & Me DT Card

Good morning all my lovely friends how are you this morning? Well the weather report from the Northumbria Coast isssss.......dull, grey, dreary with mist coming in from the sea....yep its miserable again today just the same as yesterday.

Well I'm running a tad late this morning so I'm gonna get on with it.

Today is the new challenge over at Crafts & Me Challenges & there have been a few changes so grab a cuppa & a biccy & I'll tell you about them.

As from today 16th March we are going weekly.....yep no more fortnightly challenges you can come join us every single week. The Crafts & Me team are now 2 teams there is the original team with the 2 new additional girlies....we are the Rubbah Team.....(my hubby always laughs at that lol)

& now Teresa has teamed together some new fabulous talented girlies for the Digi Team as Teresa is releasing more digi images. So each week the teams will take it in turns to host the challenges, this week is the Rubbah Team. This is great news for you as its now twice the chance to win as of course there will be prizes every week....how great is that...wooooo hooooo.

Right this week is my challenge & I chose photo inspiration for you all but I added an extra I would alos like to see some form of texture on your card as well, pop over here to look at the piccies. There are 2 & you can choose either one or both, the choice is yours & how brave you are lol.

Yes this is the bottom can you guess I made an easel card lol.

Yes I finally got around to doing a twisted easel card.....man these things are soooo easy & easier to photograph as well tbh as I always struggle with the easel cards but this was much easier.

I have to say I soooo enjoyed making this card & this stamp is on my favourite list she was brilliant to colour I just let my mind go & my fingers & pens followed......lol.

Good evening my lovelies how are you all? Hope you had a fab chillaxing weekend. This is a quickish card I made altho colouring the images are never quick lol. This one was coloured whilst watching The Simpsons with the boys so I'm surprised it didnt come out yellow lol. I brought some new smooth card off the net last week & it came today I cant remember what its called tbh but I dont think much of it & its not like it was cheap. Normally I'm a firm believer you get what you pay for....well not in this case. The colours didnt lie on top for long so blending was tougher so I'm not that pleased with this card but it will be ok as 1 of those emergency cards you need in a hurry lol. So smooth card will go in the pile off emergency use only when I run out lol.

Anyway onto my card which tonight I've used Kenny K......I cant even remember if I've made a card before with this image but here she is anyway...

CES Challenges DT Card.........

Well good morning all you lovely people, how are you all today? For those out there that are poorly I wish you better real soon......except me & the eldest everyone is poorly here.....

Guess what I finally got to craft yesterday & managed to get my DT card done for CES Challenges today, altho my fabby boss did tell me not to worry but I was having huge withdrawal I've not crafted for a week cus kids have been that poorly. Natalie is a wee bit better not much so it looks like a re-scheduled appointment to the Alan Shearer centre....her health comes first tho bless her.

Anyway its time for CES Challenges today & the lovely Crafty Emma herself has set this weeks challenge which is......Male Cards  We also welcome a new member to our fab DT this week the talented

 Donna aka Donna's Doodles pop over & show her some support as its really nerve racking joining a new team.......even a mad house like ours lol.....believe it is behind the scenes lol.

Well as I've had major withdrawal from crafting I decided to make something a little different you know me & stretching the ode grey matter I get bored otherwise lol....also its not very often I do Male cards I miss my embellies too much & you know I like to embellish lol.

This is 'Happy New Year Ben' altho I think he can be used for so many things of course you can get him from here Emma has all the new WOJ stamps in mine came days ago so I'm itching to at least ink 1 up & make a card with one.

He has been coloured with my fave pens Copics.

E000 E00 E01 E11 E25 E29 E31 & E50 & R37 for his blowy thing....I think these were the colours as much as I can remember.......

All the papers are stitched.....faux stitching which took me ages to pierce every single hole with my pokey tool then draw up the lines to look like stitches but it was worth it & really helps make it look like authentic I think.

Of course I made a matching box to put it in the only thing different is the shirt on the box lid doesnt have a pocket instead it has a tag which I used my WOJ tag die for. The sentiment is a Cats Life Press Calender stamp which I had for crimbo off Crafty Fabby Emma......I love this sentiment stamp.
