Hello To A Special Friend

Hello everyone, how are you all? Yayyyy its the weekend, lets hope the weather stays nice.

I'm here today to show you a recent card I made using a Magnolia stamp I got for my birthday & a new die that a lovely lady sent me for my birthday.... thank you again sweetie sooooooo much ;-)

The papers I've used I brought a while ago from Swedish House Crafts & they are the Pion Easter Collection........this is such a pretty collection & not just for Easter. I've had them a while but didnt want cut them as they are too pretty....stroking purposes lol.
I cut the card with a Go-Kreate die, all papers have been stitched as always.

I added lace across the centre. I added a straw cut down a little & added a sentiment from the Pion Easter Collection saying 'To A Special Friend'. The flowers at the bottom of the straw are WOC.
Butterflies are cut from the same paper set & pearl string down the centre.

I made flowers with white foamiran & I added bits of colour with Pentel Oil Pastels, these are really good on Foamiran & cheap too. I got mine from Amazon here.
To make the flowers I used my favourite flower die at the moment which is Whimsy Peony die designed by the uber talented Bev Rochester, the little ones were made using the smallest die & the larger ones were made using the smallest & the middle die. I also used the leaf die that comes with the set & foamiran.

This Hello die by Gummiapan I got off a lovely lady for my birthday, I cut it out 3 times in cardstock & then once in the same lemon paper I used on the card, this gives it thickness like its chipboard.
Ive tried to show the dimension of it here.
Gummiapan dies are Swedish dies & are fabulous, they cut perfectly but what is just as good is the price........they are not expensive at all!! Great value for money.
You can find the Gummiapan range here in the UK at Swedish House Crafts.

This Magnolia stamp I got for my birthday off hubster, would you believe I didnt get her when I got most of this collection.....then I was like...why why why didnt I get her!!
So hubby got her for me, she is from the I Believe In Unicorns collection at Swedish House Crafts & she is called 'Snowwhite Tilda' isnt she the cutest!! I coloured her with distress ink refills.
Colours used are......
Skin - Vintage Photo, Tattered Rose, Cheeks- Worn Lipstick
Hair - Antique Linen, Ground Espresso
Top - Scattered Straw, Black Soot, Wild Honey
Trousers - Stormy Sky
Boots - Pumice Stone, Black Soot
I then covered her with distress glaze & fussy cut her out.

Inside in decorated to compliment the front as always.
I cut the tag from the Pion collection to stand Tilda on & then I cut a postage piece from the same Easter Collection.
Not many die-cuts on this one but I dont think it needed to be over done with foofiness, I wanted the pretty papers to be seen & of course Tilda ;-)

Well thats it from me, hope you have a wonderful weekend. I have my family coming in a few hours for a bit.
Thanks for stopping by.
Squishy hugs from me to you.

Have A Lovely Birthday

Hello there everyone how are you all?

Well I'm working through cards that I made that have not been blogged & I have a few lol. This one is a vintage kinda card that I made.......oooh let me think, I'm gonna guess about 3 months ago maybe lol. I love the colours pink & green together its shabby chic/country dontcha think??
Ok now the problem is I have to try remember what products I used as I like to tell you what I use & enable you to go buy them hee hee.
Ok the shape was definitely made with a Go-Kreate die & the papers are definitely Pion. The image is also Pion.
I used a fairly new die, or at the time it was & thats the Umbrella die which is a Magnolia die that I got from Swedish House Crafts...........I had been after this die for soooooooo long & whilst trying to get it I found a shop that I didnt know existed & they do all fabulous Swedish products.....Suha the owner is so sweet.

The cabochon I made myself by cutting a clock from Pion paper with a circle punch & then attaching a glass cabochon dome over the top.........I glued it with glossy accents.
The seam binding underneath are from my stash.....the pale green one I made myself ages ago.

The photo's were taken ages ago & for some reason I only took these ones....
Dies I've used are LLLC Doily die at the left side, I also added 2 doily dies on the right under the image, a Fantasy die & the other is a Marianne die. The playing cards were cut from Pion Design paper.
The sentiment is LOTV.

Well thats it from me today will be back tomorrow with a newer card......
Hope the weather is good for you where ever you are, its miserable here & just started raining....we did have sunshine & I pegged washing out......yep then I did the running act trying to dodge the rain drops whilst getting it all back in again lol......its now in the dryer :-(

Thanks for stopping by lovelies, take care.
Lotsa hugs Vicky xxx

Dad's Day

Hello everyone how are you all? Hope you are well but those who are not I'm sending get well wishes & a hug.
Now I said I woud start work through my cards that I have still not blogged. Well I have a quick & easy card for you today.
It's one I made for hubster for Father's Day........only this one was not made in advance as I had only made one but still needed another. Hubster goes out with our 2 sons every Sunday morning for Father & Sons time & they go out with either 10th or 5th scale RC cars & Drones.
So while hubby was out I made this.....the actual card took me 20 minutes to make but finding the stuff to make it took me so much longer lol. Fathers Day fel on me having nothing in my craft room.........we had just finished installing the new units but all my craft stuff was boxed up & not boxed up correctly as it was a last minute decision lol.
So this is my 20 minute card with bits that I could find........no sewing on this one as my sewing machine wasnt set up & the socket I use for it needed to be fitted :-/
So I used Pion Design papers for this. They are from the Mister Tom collection.
No stamps used as I didnt know where they were & didnt have time to look, I was gutted as after I made the card I remembered I had brought a new sentiment stamp specifically for Fathers Day.......oh well there is next year lol.

I made a bow with some black & cream ribbon which I thought went with the papers I had chosen.......actually I found the ribbon first so everything got centred around that lol.
The cabochon in the centre I made using an epoxy dome from my stash & I cut a camera image from the Pion collection with a circle punch.

The tag with the image on is from the Mister Tom collection & I punched a hole & attached a ring to it & some waxed cord. The Father sentiment is also Pion.

I added some hessia ribbon stuff underneath & some corrugated card under the image. The letters are stickers & I cut the film strip from the Pion Borders sheet & stuck the letter toeach square in the film strip.
Not one die was used on this card which is incredibly unusual for me but I had no idea where my dies were..........honestly the mess was unbelieveable & awful. However my craft room is starting to look great...........its still not quite finished as other things in life have to come first but I can craft in there still so its ok lol.

Anyway lovelies I will go now & get my daughter ready for daycare. Then I have an exciting day of cleaning right through. We had such a hot day on Monday & stupid me used that day to paint the sheds.........omg it was soooooo blinking warm....yep total blonde day that day lol, but they look so much better in Wild Thyme ;-)

Thanks for stopping by & listen to me jabber on. Enjoy your day.
Lotsa squishy hugs

Noor Design UK Challenge

Hello everyone we are away in the caravans this weekend the whole family so I'm hoping this has published.

Its the first of the month..........July can you believe it.....where is this year going??
Anyway 1st of the Month means a new challenge over at Noor Design UK & this month is easy peasy lemon squeezy :-)

DIES

...........see easy peasy right!!

I didnt go die mad for this one, simply because I ran out of time making my other card so used this back up I had made just incase I didnt have time finish the other thing....wow what a lot of babble lol. Anyway here is my DT card.
Still havnt got my light area set up so excuse the pics peeps.
I've used Pion papers & a Pion image, for all links go to the bottom of the post.
The image is from My Dearest Sofia 'Images From The Past'. I cut it out using a circle die & attached it behind a Wycinanka chipboard frame. I then glued pearl trim around the centre & added pearl dots using a pearl pen, white & pink.
I love the effect the pearls have added to this frame.

As always I've decorated the inside. The die cuts along the top & bottom of the centre piece are from Magnolia Doohickey Kit Volume 9.

I've machine stitched all around the edge of the papers. All flowers are WOC & the die-cut leaves I used 2 dies, one is a Magnolia die that coame with Lemon Tree Tilda & the other a Rosy Owl die. Also added 2 tassels using the Marianne tassel dies.
I also added some pretty lace & a charm & added a bit of glitter to the centre. I also added a couple of bows using organza ribbon from my stash & addeda brad to the centre.

Well thats it from me, hope you are all having a fabulous weekend.
Lotsa hugs Vicky xxx

Noor Design UK - Anchor's Away

Hello everyone how are you all?
Hope you all had a lovely weekend, we had a really nice one, out with all the family & both the family dogs on Saturday & then spent the day with family again on Sunday & had a BBQ at mine, love weekends.

Ok less babbling & lets show you what I've made with products from Noor Design UK. Today I have a more male inspired card for you.........yep less foofiness lol. I sometimes find male cards hard but I do think Pion Design make male cards easier with their gorgeous papers.
I love this collection.....ok I love most of Pion's collection lol. This collection is 'Legends Of The Sea' but the 'Happy Birthday' tag is from the Mr Tom's Treasure's Collection.
All links are below to take you to the products I've used

For the centre I used an 'Anchor' image from Images From The Past & added foam pads underneath to raise it up. Under that I cut out a rectangle using a Fantasy Die from the same sheet I used for the card which is 'Aye Aye Captain' & raised that too to give it all dimension.

The boat at the bottom I fussy cut from the Aye Aye Captain sheet & popped it onto foam pads & underneath I cut out seaweed from Foamiran.
The Anchor, Lighthouse & Seagull are cut from Joy Crafts dies.

The tag I cut from Pion Mr Tom's Treasures 'Mr Tom's Memory's Notes'. I punched a hole through it, added an eyelet & then a keyring from my stash hooked onto a Tim Holtz Clip.

I cut the corner from a Joy Crafts corner die. I also added bubbles here & there using Structure Paste & a mask art stencil that Tracy can order in if you would like it.
Seaweed is cut with a Magnolia die.

Thats it from me, thank you so much for stopping by.
Lotsa hugs Vicky xxx
P.S. Sorry about pics I've still not set up an area for my light tent & lights so this is took on my bench with just my big lights on & luckily we fitted LED lights under the units on the wall so they shine out so much extra liught, they are fab & a fab price too...... ;-)

Lovely Hanglar or Sweet Magnolia

Hi peeps how are you all? Hope you are all having a fabby weekend, we are loving all this warm weather....though living right next to the North Sea does bring a nice cool breeze, a very welcomed breeze I have to say lol.
I've been MIA just recently but there has been so much going on, Natalie has been unwell & I've had Pancreatitus twice in just over a month as well as a few other things going on & redesigning my craft room/studio. Ok less of my babble & lets get to crafty business.

Well its time for a new challenge over at Lovely Hanglar or Sweet Magnolia & this month its everyone's favourite........

ANYTHING GOES

..........yep you can create ANYTHING as long as its either Magnolia or Hanglar & dont forget you can enter as many times as you like..........more chances to win a fab prize from our fab sponsor who this month is.....drum roll please rrrrrrrrrrrr (thats my drum roll noise hee hee)
Our Lovely Sponsor
Now this card has been made about a month, I've not done any crafting for weeks so thank goodness I had this as a back-up phewwwww.
Now I love love LOVE Boho, I love the style & most things Boho & I lurve the whole Magnolia Boho collection (even though I have a few un-inked still) & there were a couple I was still missing. So I saw Sir Stamp A Lot had some on special order & after getting excited I then calmed myself down, composed myself & ordered a few.....Yeah I know I'm easily pleased lol.
So this pretty lady is 'Romantic Boho Tilda' & she was coloured with distress ink refills, cant remember what paper she is stamped onto though :-(

I cut this sentiment off some ribbon type thingy...... Treasured Moments. Underneath is a Film Strip I cut from a Magnoia die that I got from Swedish House Crafts a month or 2 ago, the die is called 'Insta Stripes'. The clip is a Tim Holtz one from my stash.

The paper is Pion Theodore & Bella 'Rise & Shine' & as always I have machine stitched it. The Butterflies are also Pion.

I aded more of the film strip at the bottom with some WOC flowers. Doily is from my stash.

I added corrufated card under the image painted with Gesso & in between I added a small Magnolia Doily die & a tag made with a Magnolia die & stamped a verse onto it from Stempelglede.
The metal 'Love' heart was from LLC ........I love these things.

Leaves are also Magnolia dies from Paris Nights. Seam binding is from Noor Design UK.
The frame around the image I made with a die from CC Designs.

Ok I think I've babbled on quite a bit now so I'm gonna go & spend the afternoon with my family & as its nice have a BBQ, I lurve weekends ;-)
Its hard to craft this time of year dont you think, when its nice you just want to be outside spending time with loved ones, family, friends enjoying life. Whatever you are doing though I hope you are having fun.

Noor Design UK DT Card

Hello everyone how are you all?
I was hoping you to show you a project this week with in depth photo's or maybe even a video of the making or part of. However my daughter got took into hospital & although she is home now she is still very poorly. Also my eldest son & family moved at the weekend so I was looking after my grandchildren as well as my poorly Natalie & well there are not enough hours in the day.

So I will show you that next week as I'm really looking forward to doing it. Today though I have some shabby chic for you......oh my I love shabby chic........I would have it everywhere........even hubster would get the shabby chic treatment if I could get away with it lol.
I used the oh so pretty Pion Design 'My Dearest Sofia' papers, I went with blues for this one with just hints of pink in the background.
I have also used bits from the Crafteezee Collection No.9 which I think was March Elegant collection......but I'm not certain :-(
The 2 hearts in this photo are from the Crafteezee collection, the lace heart is lace & you get a long length of it but I just cut 1 heart off.....you may end up seeing these lots lol
The small metal heart I added Ivory Fran-Tage embossing powder to it but before I heated it with my heat gun I rubbed off little bits here & there so a bit of bronze would still peek through.
I also cut out 2 doilies, 1 in white card using a Fantasy die & the other from Pion paper with a Marianne die...........these are 2 of my favourite dies........amongst many others lol.

This little wooden peg with a heart on was also from the crafteezee collection....I added white gesso to the wooden peg & then stamped a postage stamp on the half of the heart.......its not showing up very good in this picture. I stamped onto paper first to get a lot of the ink off as I wanted it light.

I love the metal leaves but sometimes I think they dont really go with my card..........so I added Fran-tage embossing powder to both sides & heated them with my heat gun.........be careful & use tweezers as they get very hot with being metal.
Now I absolutely LOVE them & will be buying lots & giveing them the fran-tage treatment lol.
For these I used Ivory Fran-Tage to match the smaller metal heart in the previous photo.
I used some gorgeous flowers & I used quite a few different leaves. I used the metal ones & I used 2 different Rosy Owl Leaf dies & I also used Tim Holtz Holiday Greens.......I think a couple of the dies in this set you can get away with all year round. The Tim Holtz ones I cut with the blue 12x12 Pion Sheet, Rosy Owl was cut with the green 12x12 pion sheet & the maja design sheet & also white cardstock..... I also added some heat treated organza ribbon in there as well.

I added cheesecloth between the first & second layer & I also added 2 different laces. I distressed all my edges with a Tim Holtz tool.

Well thats it from me dont forget about our current challenge which is 'Add Lace' here.

Thanks so so much for stopping by it means a lot to us.
Lotsa hugs Vicky xxx
