My Crafty Heart & Saturated Canary's Liliana

Hello all you lovely people out there, how are you? Its lovely & sunny here by the sea.......although I am still in my jammies........ssshhhh ;0)

Now my DT card is for My Crafty Heart & I've used a Saturated Canary rubber stamp & only tried something new with my colouring..........I have tried to mimic distress inks with my copics. Although the skin I did the same as usual lol.

Yes I've gone for violet colours again, think this may be a new colour addiction ;0) I added stardust stickles to her eyes for some sparkle & her hair bow.

Copic colours used are.........

E11, E21, E00, E000, R20 - Skin

E47, E43, E41, E40 - Hair

C3, C1, C00 - Top & Shoes

V95, V93, V91, V000 - Trousers & Bow

First time I've tried to mimic painting with copics & I'm quite pleased with how it went, need to practice more still.

I've decorated inside to compliment the front of the card. I love this new light box but I dont think they are very deep so its hard when I want to get an angled piccy :0(

I've frantaged up the frame that Liliana is on & I've also done the MF 'Frame' & the MB 'Fresh Foliage' die

I punched some small butterflies from my punch & a larger butterfly with MB 'Isabella' die from scraps of Maja design paper. I inked the edges & added Stickles.

The lilac feathers & cream seam binding are from my stash. The gorgeous lace is Melissa Frances, soooo pretty. The sentiment in the frame is a free stamp from craft mag.

Crafts & Me Store - Hannah Lynn New Release!!

Hello my lovelies how are you all? Hope you all had a lovely weekend. I spent mine with my family so always love my weekends ;0) Ben & Megan brought Payton a Cozy Coupe car which gramps put together yesterday, she lurves it...........pics are on my facebook, Ben put some on yesterday apparently lol.

Anyway I'm here today with my card for Crafts & Me & today with a new digi image release from Hannah Lynn.........they are all so yummy ;0)

This beauty is called 'Hillary' & you just gotta love her hair.............swoon......I want my hair that colour!!

I've been struggling with my colouring lately, mojo etc, so I sat in bed the other night with Hannah Lynn images & SC images & they sure got my ink flowing again ;0)

OK so we have a gorgeous butterfly, I love these things '0) The pearl centre is Maya Road but they have changed their design a bit now, but here is the link anyway as I dont think Sandy has this one in stock anymore. I also went Frantage mad with Shabby pink & Shabby white on a Metal Trinket & 

Butterfly Charm ;0) My Frantage I got from Ebay before christmas before everyone went frantage mad (card here it was used on) however I do know Sandy has a good selection of them in her store.

Flowers are all from WOC, Lace, sema binding & Cheesecloth from LLC.

'Hillary' was of course coloured with Copics & I went with violets.

Colours used were........

E11, E21, E00, E000 & R20 - Skin

V99, V95, V93, V91 - Hair, eyes & lips

C3, C1, C00 - Clothing

The papers I've used are Maja Design 'Oat Cookies' & I've lightly distressed them & inked the edges with Walnut ink. The sentiment was actually from a free stamp I got from a craft magazine.

Candy Winner, Update On Megan & Something To Make You Smile ;0)

Hello everyone how are you all? Wooooo hoooooo its the weekend & you gotta love the weekends.

Ok so todays post is a mixture of things, we will have the winner of my candy (finally lol).

I will also give you an update on Megan & I will leave you with a little something to make you smile ;0)

Ok first for an update on Megan as many of you have been kindly asking after her. Well things are not great but at the same time things are not really bad. Megan has been in & out of hospital lately & altogether she has lost 3 lots of fluid. The doctor told her this week that any other woman would have gone into labour on the first fluid loss & probably lost the baby. However baby Arjay is still in there fighting away, he's our little soldier ;0) At around 24 weeks gestation which is what Megan now is she should have 160 ml of fluid surrounding the baby, when she had a scan last week she had just 27 ml........ However monday night she got admitted back into hospital with more fluid loss. She had a scan on thursday & they had trouble finding the fluid to measure it. She has 2cm of fluid left..........as long as Arjay has 20ml of fluid then he can survive & grow for now. As her fluid is so low she could go into labour at anytime which is not great at this gestation so she has now had steroids to try help the baby's heart & lungs for when he is born. Basically its up to Arjay now when he wants to come or how long he wants to stay in there. It is really worrying for everyone especially Ben & Megan. However I have a good feeling he will be ok..........he's fighting against all odds to stay in there. Everytime his heart is checked he is strong & healthy & boy is he active.........he's gonna be a football player for sure ;0) Also on thursday we found out he had also grown a bit since the week before, he is now about 1 & half lbs, even with all the loss of the fluid that little laddy is fighting............its cus he knows he has fabulous parents & a gorgeous sister waiting for him ;0) 

I will keep you informed of how things go with my Megan & the pregnancy, any prayers are greatly appreciated. I have a scan photo of Arjay attached to an angel in my craft room, above that is a little pic of his sister. So he has an Angel & his sister watching over him.........;0)

Ok now to leave you with something to make you smile. My grandaughter Payton standing up in the bath on thursday night. Megan sent me this after she had given her a bath, shes so proud cus she is standing up lol.

I have to say everytime Megan goes the hospital, this little girl steals the limelight all the time.........off visitors as well as doctors & nurses lol. She is the cutest, happiest little girl.......I'm so proud to be her nanna :0)

Sorry about the long post peeps, if you made it to the end I hope this little girl cheered you up lol. She cheers me up every day........she can put a smile on anyones face ;0)

Saturated Canary DT Card

Hello everyone I'm sorry I have been missing in action there has been a lot going on & tbh I've just not had the time to use my laptop.

Anyway I will get on with my post which is for the new challenge over at Saturated Canary & this fortnight the theme is...........

A picture inspiration.

Now I have to say I sooooooooo struggled with this so there is NOT much emerald on my creation, I'm not a fan of emerald. Also things have gone into my craft room...........however a lot is boxed up & a lot I really have no idea where it is lol...........so please excuse my card lol.

There is green there & there is purple there.......... ;0)

The papers are old ones which I had left in the drawers when I packed my craft stuff up lol.

This fabby image is 'Bikini & Burgers' which is a new digi image by the uber talented Krista Smith

Even my colouring on this fabulous image let me down..............I really need get back into the swing of things!! She was of course coloured with Copics but I forgot to write down the colours, sorry :0(

Now my die-cuts machines are all still packed up so luckily I found these in my box of die-cuts. Flowers are old ones from my stash & paper clips are Tim Holtz. The gorgeous butterfly is from this fabulous Etsy shop, you gotta get some of these they are lush ;0)

The metal thingy-ma-jig & the Cheese Cloth are from LLC & I painted it with Gesso & added some sticky letters from my stash.

Also sorry about the pics hubster got me a new light box & this is the first time I've used it....need get used to it lol.

Well I'm gotta run,  but I will be back tomorrow with my candy winners that I'm extremely late with but will give you a bit more of an explanation tomorrow.

Crafts & Me - Janna Prosvirina

Hello all how are you all? Well we have some lovely sunshine up here by the sea today, its gorgeous. Now this card I'm showing today I should have posted last wednesday for the Crafts & Me challenge, however things have happened in real life that put a stop to everything.

Megan has been having a lot of problems with this pregnancy with bleeding & threatened miscarriage etc. Now she has kept losing fluid from around the baby, so for nearly the last week she has been on total bedrest & not allowed to do anything. We've helped by looking after Payton & helping cook meals, Ben has took time off work. The docs have said they dont expect the baby to survive, but he has a strong heartbeat & he is still very active.........so we are praying our little Arjay will survive this!!

We find out more this afternoon when Megan goes for another scan. Obviously my family has come first so no crafting, blogging, decorating or sorting out the craft room has been done.........everything is on hold!!! Its awful seeing your kids go through things like this, I know what pain they are going through cus I've been there a few times. 

So this is why I've been absent & why I will be absent, I've not even been able to read my comments on my last card yet :(

Anyhoo enough of my sad babbling & here is my card for the challenge, there is only one pic I'm afraid though.

This is another one of the new rubber stamps in Crafts & Me by Janna Prosvirina & this one is called 'Ivy' & isn't he fabulous!!! He was of course coloured with Copic Cool Grays.

The challenge is 'Peaches & Cream' which are not my colours tbh so I struggled. In the end I looked at the artists colouring, saw it was greyscale so that gave me the idea do him greyscale & add some colour to the leaves lol. Tbh I'm not happy with it but hey I tried lol.

Papers, lace, seam binding & cheesecloth are from Live & Love Crafts. Large fabric flower & die used for the sentiment are from My Crafty Heart.

Ok thats it from me I have a little girl waiting for her nanna to play with her ;0)

Please pray that my grandson stays put & stays healthy until it is safe for him to enter this world, we really couldnt bear to lose him. I also dont want my family to have to go through more heartache, enough is enough now.

My Crafty Heart DT Card - Rosarna

Hello my lovelies, how are you all? I'm running mega late & behind as usual I'm afraid, this craft room is taking up so much time & we've had delays :( However we are on the home stretch now & I move in there in the next day or 2 wooooo hoooooo lol.

Anyway onto my card which is for My Crafty Heart & I've also used a digi image from Sweet Pea Stamps............I do love my digi's ;0)

I've used my absolute favourite pad at the mo again lol.....Prima 'Lyric' & I've cut a strip off another sheet & fussy cut around the sentiment.

Flowers are all from WOC. Dies used are Spellbinders 'Floral Oval' which I also covered with Shabby Pink Frantage. I also used MB 'Catalina' die underneath the flowers.

I've added a gorgeous resin MF 'Butterfly' which also got the Frantage treatment ;0) I've also added a pretty Bo Bunny 'Trinket'.

I've also added a doily from my stash & some 'Cheese Cloth'.

This image is called 'Rosarna' by Karen Middleton & was a joy to colour. She was of course coloured with copics. Colours used are below.........

E37, E35, E33, E31

R59, R29, R17

I cant remember what greens I used sorry, although I do know I used G99 & G94.

Inside is decorated as always. I also added a black Prima 'Say It In Crystals, Corner' to the top right corner.

Pics of craft room so far............

Hello everyone how are you all? My goodness it has been soooooooo windy here today, I had to pop over to my step-mums to see to her little yorkies at dinner time & I struggled to open my van door the wind was that strong lol. Think I needs some bigger muskles lol.

I have some piccies for you of my hobbit (craft room) so far, there have been quite a few delays but there is light at the end of the tunnel lol.

Ok so this first one I took last Thursday night 11th April. All the dry walling had been installed & the first coat of paint on the ceiling. We replaced all the walls, the ceiling & the floor, here is just the base of the floor with no covering on yet.

 This next one is Friday 12th April late afternoon & hubby had painted the ceiling & fitted all the lights into place. I used to have 2 long strip lights but they were too bright & felt harsh so hubster fitted spot lights into the ceiling.

No work got done saturday or sunday as weekends are family time & we all spend it together chilling, chatting etc. Jake's girlfriend also came over on sunday & we all went Ben & Megans for tea........a fab day!!

This one I took today 16th April. Yesterday hubster laid new laminate flooring, its a bit lighter than my old laminate flooring so will reflect a bit more light. We also brough an old kitchen off someone on ebay & although its covered in plaster in parts & so filthy............its disgusting!! However hubster fitted the top ones today & laid the floor ones down ready for me to clean & paint tomorrow before the work tops go on.

This one I took tongiht so you could see the lights at night, I absolutely love them & they let off quite a bit of warmth. The bookcases at the back I already had & originally got them from Ikea, they are just Billy Bookcases.

This below is my absolute bargain, I LOVE it!! My eldest son Ben saw this on facebook, up here we have Ashington For Sale, a friend of ours set it up for people wanting to sell things they no longer need etc. Anway Ben was at mine last week & he saw this & showed it to me. I loved it & when he told me the price I loved it even more. So showed it to hubster & he told me to get it....woooo hoooooo. However as he was going out in the van it would have to wait til the following day...........not a big deal, right. Well the lovely people were going near our way so offered to deliver it..........OMG..........arn't they fab!!

Its a 'Ducal' solid pine dresser & it cost me £30, but I also gave them some extra to cover their fuel for being so kind...........can you believe it £30!!!!!! I have the best son ;0) He knows a bargain when he sees one.

Today I finally decided what colour I wanted it as I dont want to keep it this colour. So I have brought some Annie Sloan chalk paint & wax today, should be here tomorrow or Thursday when it will get the Vicky treatment lol.

If you look you can also see my wallpaper I'm having in here on top of the dresser ;0)

Ok so my next photo's should hopefully be all done & looking fabulous, I'm getting really excited now lol. My desk & drawers etc have to go in & they will be going on the other side, hubster has fitted an extra double socket so my sewing machine can go there as well. 3 double sockets should hopefully now be enough..........I hope so anyway lol, you dont realise to begin with just how many electrical things we use when crafting.

Well my next pics of my hobbit will look totally different, I may do a video to show it properly as well as someone has suggested it to me...........we will see lol.
