Magazine Card

Hello there everyone how are you all? Hope you are all well.

Well I will be in Devon now....soon be cooking a full english breakfast (its the law when on holiday to cook one every morning lol) but before I went I did have time to do 1 or 2 posts lol.

This is a card that I forgot to show you so thought I would do a quick post to show you it.

I was asked to do a card for Papernest Dolls for a magazine, there were quite a few gorgeous cards going in this magazine by fabulously talented crafters.

Here is my card which I kept foofiness to a minimum.

She is a rubber stamp called 'Bird Nest'.......I'm sure she is called that lol, my brain is all mixed up with flour after a heap of baking I did before my hols....cheesecakes, quiche's, biscuits & cakes lol.

I coloured her with copics. Papers are from my stash & I cannot remember what pad they are from.....they were machine sewn as always.

The small tag I think is CC Design's die. The border above the lace is a MS punch.

The sentiment is Stamping Bella.....again I think. It was done a while ago & I cant remember everything I used now lol.

I do know though that all the flowers are WOC lol.

I was extremely chuffed as this card make the cover..............yayyyy me, so happy lol. Though I have to say hubby was even happier, he rushed out again to buy the magazine & then wanted frame it.........I drew the line there dont worry lol. Its in my cupboard in my craft studio lol.

Deep Ocean Challenges

Hello there everyone its nice & sunny here by the sea today, perfect for getting my bedding out on the line after I've finished this post.

I must say sorry for being late with this post, we go on Holiday to Devon tomorrow woooo hooooo but it means this week has been crazy busy.  So I will make the post quick-ish lol. 

Ok so this fortnight over at Deep Ocean Challenges our theme is............

SHABBY CHIC or VINTAGE

................omg I love both these themes, however I didnt really have time make anything but thankfully I have a few makes that fit this theme. This one I made when I first got the stamps.

I used the super gorgeous Maja Design Sofiero collection which you can get from Swedish House Crafts with the Monochromes to go with it, just click here.

I used a Go-Kreate die for the shape of the card & also used a circle one the for 2nd layer.

All papers were machine sewn & gesso added.

I added lace & cheesecloth form my stash.

All smaller dies used are Magnolia, the Bow, butterfly, both tags, swirl & the leaves.

The fabulous stamp is from the Magnolia From Farm To Market collection & this beauty is called 'Market Tilda With Fruits' & you can get her & many others from Swedish House Crafts.

I coloured her with distress ink refills & 1 marker which are her boots.

I also stamped the fruit that comes with here around her a bit.

I cut her out using MB Stitched Ovals.

As you can see I decorated inside to compliment the same as the front.

Here you can see the tag out with a charm attached, I used a Magnolia die but left it blank til I know what it will be used for. The seam binding I made myself a long time ago.....havnt made any for a while will have to remedy that lol.

The sentiment on the Magnolia Tag peeking out is from Tim Holtz wording doo dah's.....yeah I cant remember what they are called lol.

I'm gonna go peg my washing out & then I have lots of beds to make including the bed in our touring caravan as thats what we are going on holiday with so I have that to clean inside  out today. Then I'm baking LOTS this evening as I'm making tea & desert to take down with us. Its the whole family going in 2 tourer's & we doing the travelling over 2 days, so the first night we are stopping over just outside Birmingham & then first thing the following morning we will travel down to Devon.

Lovely Hanglar Or Sweet Magnolia

Hello everyone I'm running really late with my DT post. We have been busy decorating or should I say renovating as we have had to lay a new concrete flor in the conservatory, its nearly done though. I've just got a few bits do & new blinds come today.

A few other things have gone on as well but I will not bore you with the details & instead I'm gonna get on with the post.

Ok so the new challenge over at Lovely Hanglar or Sweet Magnolia this month is.....

ANYTHING GOES

Ok so I've not done any crafting boo hoo.....serious withdrawal. However I had a card I made about a month ago, when the new doohickey set came. I actually coloured up the stamp a few days before the kit arrived. This card is for a sweet young couple who are expecting a baby girl.

This is my all time favourite baby stamp & of course I've teamed her with my favourite paper brand..........yeah you guessed it Maja Design Vintage Baby, a mixture of 12x12 & the 6x6 pad on this card.....I love this collection its one of my many favourites.

Lace & pom pom trim is from my stash. I also added a bit of pom pom to the little flower & waxed string.

The sentiment is from the Vintage Baby collection. Tracy at Noor Design UK has this collection in the 6x6 size & it really is such a beautiful collection & not just for babies ;-)

This is the inside which is decorated to compliment the front.

As the front has a Cloud on it I thought I would put the Star on the inside. These dies are from the last Magnolia Doohickey collection.

The oval is a Memory Box die & I added a doily underneath.

All papers have been machine stitched.

In the Doo-Hickey collection there was a hanger but instead I used a metal one & added 2 tags to it, 1 is from Maja Design & the other is a die that came with the collection & I aded another little sentiment from Maja Design.

This stamp which is one of my most treasured stamps & I love that it can be used for boy or girl & its soooo pretty.

I coloured her in distress ink refills & added stardust stickles to her wings & all the frills on her clothes, bonnet & pillow. I also added tiny pearls around her.

I die cut a Stork from the doohickey collection & the fabulous elephant, I added pearls where their eyes are. The stork does not come with a bow tie but I decided it would look cool....thats a cool looking stork if you ask me lol.

The fabbylicious spoon is from my stash.

Underneath the image I added the swirly looking die, its such a pretty die & I wanted to incorporate it but not have it over the image, so I cut it out twice & placed it underneath so each end was peeking out. Its one of those dies that could be used in many ways.

I added flowers & wrinkled organza in the top corner,the leaves are a Magnolia die.

Lovely Hanglar Or Sweet Magnolia Challenge

My card is one that has been made up a while & I completely forgot to even take photo's of it never mind blog it.....ooops ;-\

Papers are Lemoncraft 'Just Love Me' & as always I've machine stitched all around the edges.

Senetiment is a rubber stamp from LOTV.

I have used 'Tilda With Lace Pants' from the Animal Year collection 2014. She is coloured with copics but I cannot remember the colours as truth is she was in my coloured up box but only half coloured lol.....her skin, hair & dungarees were coloured but she still had uncoloured hair bow, top & shoes & she had no ground or background lol.

I also added white dots to her cheeks using a white gel pen & I gave her eyelashes....doesnt she look kinda bashful lol.

I cut the image with a MB Stitched Oval & then it to a Little Darlings Gilded Oval die.

Lace was a crmbo present off hubster from Noor Design UK. The heart in the corner is from the Recipe Collection & is 'Rose & Heart' die, I just cut the heart in half as its a folding little tag, as the edge where it folds is straight I then added a Bark Heart with it to disguise the straight edge lol.

Other dies include LLLC Leaves die, Cheery Lynn Doily die. I've also used 2 Magnolia dies, the Lovely Umbrella & the Bride Bow. The flowers are WOC, I've added 2 darker pink ones to match the colour of her top & bow. I also added a bit of bling to the centre of the bow as well.

Deep Ocean Challenge DT Card

Hello again, I know I'm like the bus service.....you dont see me for a week (I think lol) then 2 in 1 day.....

This time I'm here with my DT card for Deep Ocean Challenge.....if you would like to see my mixed media card for Noor Design UK either scroll down or click here ;-)

ANYTHING NEW

Ok so if you read this mornings post you will know about my hand.......well luckily this card has been done for a few days & I had just finished putting the flowers on on Friday night before my hand kinda broke on the Saturday morning lol....ok not broke broke but not well lol.

So for my anything new I have made a baby card with some new things I had off santie ;-)

Now this image has been coloured up since last summer........yep Sitting Tingla by Magnolia has sat in my coloured images box for a long time.....dont worry though she is NOT alone & some have been there a LOT longer lol.

She was stamped onto my favourite paper here & coloured with distress ink markers & refills.

I added stickles to her dummy (pacifier) & the heart on her onesie.

I found this little cutie on Ebay last year & got quite excited, coloured her up immediately.....then put her in a box lol....

The papers are of course Maja Design Vintage Baby......my favourite baby papers but not just for babies ;-) I inked & distressed the edges & then machine sewn them.

I also cut 2 tags to add in as well, added eyelets & seam binding.

I fussy cut around the little girl & just glued the edges down so that the tags had somewhere to slide in. I also stamped around the edge of the white card with a postage stamp by Magnolia & added a Pacifier die-cut in the top corner.

The Bottle die-cuts, the Baby wording & the little Duck thingy-ma-jig is from Joy Crafts One Of A Kind Baby Set dies......this I had off hubby for crimbo.

The doily was cut out using a Cheery Lynn die.

Another new thing on the card is the gorgeous pink Chiffon Rose With Pearl Lace going down the side.......I got a few gorgeous laces.....oh I lurve lace :-)

The bow was made using Magnolia Bride Bow die. In the top corner I added a spool from my stash & attached the sentiment which I cut form the bottom of a 12x12 sheet of Maja Design paper.

There is a Corner die in the other corner which is this one & the pretty flowers & Cheesecloth are from Noor Design UK.

Image was cut out using Memory Box Stitched Ovals.

Deep Ocean CHallenge DT Card

Hello everyone how you all doing? Can you believe how fast these days are going by........not long now til the jolly red fella comes........shaking his belly like a bowful of jelly oooh so exciting :-)

So we have a new challenge over at Deep Ocean Challenges & this fortnight its........

Santa Claus Is Coming To Town

.....yep he's making his list, he's checking it twice, gonna find out who's naughty & nice.....are you singing along yet, altogether now......santa claus is coming to townnnnn ;-)

I made this card a couple of weeks ago for an order of 4 christmas cards but as I havnt had much time make anything else this fits our new challenge theme......

I didnt realise the charm had flipped over on the tag......but dont worry you will see it in the next photo lol.

I've used Pion Design The Night Before Christmas papers......all have been machine sewn around the edge.

See there is the charm of the lovely santa ;-) I've added Marianne Design Tree, Reindeers in kraft with white gel pen for markings & some Memory Box Mittens, also in Kraft but with a contrasting band using scraps from this paper. 

Add some gorgeous flowers, apple pomegrantes, glass strawberry & a Little Darlings Doily die underneath. There is also a banner going along the top but I've covered most of it by accident. Leaves are Tim HOltz Holiday Greens........can you tell I love those dies lol.

This is the inside with another Marianne Design Tree & Little Darlings Fancy Rectangle die.

These papers are gorgeous, love this collection!!

Gorgeous red ribbon from my stash & I added a beautiful button to the centre & underneath we have a cone & some berries. The pretty lace was from LLC a while ago.

The image is from Pion Design Night Before Christmas Images From The Past. & was also cut out using the same die as inside. The tag is also from the same Pion collection here.  The wording on the image I cut from Pion Borders sheet from the same collection.

Hellooooo everyone hope you are all have a fabby dabby weekend.

Mine is spent wallpapering......my eldest son Ben & Megan have got me wallpapering their entire living room.......good job we love our children lol.

Anyhoo's todays card is with a stamped image I coloured a few weeks ago but I saw the new challenge over at one of my favourite challenges Hanglar & Sweet Magnolia & thought this cutie was perfect.........so I made this card for that challenge. I know that never happens!!

I'm sorry but how adorable is he..... Ok papers I've used are Maja Design 'I Wish' collection, sheets I've used are 'I Wish For Lots Of Snow'............omg I really do ;-) & 'I Wish For Frosty Mornings', both 12x12 sheets. They have been inked with Pumice Stone, distressed a wee bit & then machine stitched.

The card shape is with a Go-Kreate die.

All the flowers are from Noor Design UK as are the Pomegranate Apples, there is also some moss in there. The grey lace & rusty star thingy ma bob are from LLC. Leaves are with Tim Holtz Holiday Greens.

Have you seen the little tag......thats from Magnolia's latest Aspen Collection & you can get it here from Noor Design UK........I stamped it in cocoa memento onto kraft card & stamped the sentiment which comes with it in black, then tied some Chocolate Waxed Cord through the top.

The ribbon I've add for quite a while & got it from Ebay with lots of other colours that sit unused in a box lol.......shame really as its beautiful ribbon. The centre bling is from Noor Design UK & I tied a couple of rusty bells from it with waxed cord again.

So this cutie is a Magnolia stamp & one of my favourite christmas stamps.......he's just adorable!!

He is called 'Frosty With Snowflake' from the So Snowy collection 2009, I think lol.

I stamped him with versamark & then heat embossed him in white & coloured him with distress inks.....I forgot how fun these were to do, I havn't done one for a looooong time.

I added glitter to his star & underneath him for snow & his hat. & I added a sparkly gem for the centre of his snowflake. I also added shabby white frantage as snow

He was cut out using a Memory Box stitched oval & behind him is a Joy Crafts 'Holly Leaves' die.

As always I decorated inside to compliment the front. The poinsettia I fussy cut from another Maja Design sheet....cannot remember what though ;-( The little Snowman postcard stamp is from Maja Design I Wish Emphemera Cards sheet which got a little bit of distressing.

I also added Gesso & Snowtex here & there for that little bit extra wintage lol.

Well thats it from me a busy day ahead decorating.....as long as they keep the cups of black tea coming & throw in some choccy biscuits now & again it will be grand lol.

Deep Ocean Challenge DT Post - Halloween

Hello everyone I'm running quite late with my DT post for Deep Ocean Challenge Blog........so sorry :-(

The challenge this fortnight is........

HALLOWEEN

........you gotta lurve Halloween!!

This year I've decided to make my grandchildren Gift Bags for Halloween & we are going to fill them with sweets, chocolate & little toys........its a Halloween Goodie Bag ;-)

Today I'm showing you the one I made for my granddaughter Payton........she loves purple so she has a purple themed gift bag.

I have to say I really REALLY enjoyed making this & I love this paper, I've used Pion Design's The Witching Hour. The sheets I've used are 'Border's', 'Haunted House' & 'Spider's Web'. All have been distressed around the edges & machine sewn.

Dies used are Magnolia & La La Land Crafts. I also added soft webbing in the top right corner & a little bow to the sitting cat. The cat lying down is from Magnolia Doohickey club volume 8 & I added some string pearl to the neck.

I added a tag to write a little message, the tag is La La Land Crafts.

Some dies are popped onto foam to give dimension & a few dies I also cut out in the spider web paper.

The grass behind the Magnolia fence is Memory Box, the trees are Magnolia.

The main focus is the haunted house on the pion sheet, I used this as the main focus & built around it. I didnt plan anything & went completely with the flow lol.

I added orange & yellow stickles to the lights on the house & the leaves on the tree for added impact. Looks fab in real life.

I also added yellow stickles to the Magnolia lamp post.

I added black lace along the bottom under the border & black lace tied around the handle. I cut out letters from the Border sheet to spell Paytons name. The die underneath is an older one but cant remember who it is by, will add it if I remember.

Well thats it form me I'm off to the hairdresser's in 5 minutes so better shoot.
