Deep Ocean Challenges - Layers

Hello everyone I'm back again with my DT card for Deep Ocean Challenges which this fortnight is..........

LAYERS

........so so easy right!!

Now this card I actually made for April mood board for Maja Design......yep I'm a wee bit late lol. That much went on that month & I didnt have time to blog it & forgot about it :-(

So here it is for you today lol.

Photo's were taken before my craftroom was ripped apart, I'm hoping to be finished by end of next week......

So quite a few layers on this, it fit this challenge perfectly so I didnt have to rush & make one lol.

The papers are my favourite & are from the Sofeiro collection, oh my I love that collection & I've used my favourite sheets in that collection as well. All paper have been machine stitched as always.

I added 2 layers of lace from my stash.

The main focal point is an image from the Emphera sheet which I cut out using a Postage die. I added some corrugated card underneath that which was painted with gesso & then another piece cut from a postage die....I love postage dies lol.

The heart sticking out is a Fantasy die from Noor Design UK.

This is the tag that pulls out from the side, I've kept the photo dark so you can see the wording better. I stamped a verse from a Stempelglede stamp onto some paper with versamark & then heat embossing with white embossing powder. I then cut it out using a LLLC Tag die, I also added some pattern to the edge of the tag again using Stempelglede stamp & embossing powder.

It really does look so pretty IRL.

As always I have decorated inside. I've added white organza ribbon by the flowers & also on the tag & heat shrivelled them to add to the shabby chic look. I added cheesecloth between 2 layers of paper which you can just see peeking out. I also added a white metal corner from my stash & a rose & butterfly also from my stash.

Lovely Hanglar Or Sweet Magnolia Challenge

Hello lovelies how are you all? Are you having a fabby weekend, I hope you are enjoying it whatever you are doing.

My card is one that has been made up a while & I completely forgot to even take photo's of it never mind blog it.....ooops ;-\

Papers are Lemoncraft 'Just Love Me' & as always I've machine stitched all around the edges.

Senetiment is a rubber stamp from LOTV.

I have used 'Tilda With Lace Pants' from the Animal Year collection 2014. She is coloured with copics but I cannot remember the colours as truth is she was in my coloured up box but only half coloured lol.....her skin, hair & dungarees were coloured but she still had uncoloured hair bow, top & shoes & she had no ground or background lol.

I also added white dots to her cheeks using a white gel pen & I gave her eyelashes....doesnt she look kinda bashful lol.

I cut the image with a MB Stitched Oval & then it to a Little Darlings Gilded Oval die.

Lace was a crmbo present off hubster from Noor Design UK. The heart in the corner is from the Recipe Collection & is 'Rose & Heart' die, I just cut the heart in half as its a folding little tag, as the edge where it folds is straight I then added a Bark Heart with it to disguise the straight edge lol.

Other dies include LLLC Leaves die, Cheery Lynn Doily die. I've also used 2 Magnolia dies, the Lovely Umbrella & the Bride Bow. The flowers are WOC, I've added 2 darker pink ones to match the colour of her top & bow. I also added a bit of bling to the centre of the bow as well.

AAHHHH Tissue.....Bless you with a surprise

Hello everyone super quick post from me tonight before I spend quality time with hubster.

I thought I would quickly pop on share my creation I made for Stamping Bella Bellarific Friday which this week is Free Form.

I coloured this super cute image up weeks ago & I coloured him to go with paper that hubby got me for crimbo......yes I actually matched papers first before colouring......I know its rare!!

Anyhoo's this special poorly fella deserved something a bit special.......

How cute is this bear..........OMGoodness I love these stuffies I really do, I do have another one coloured but thats with copics but you will have to wait for that one ;-)

I stamped this onto Fabriano watercolour paper & coloured with distress ink refills.

Wait though there is a surprise..........

Yes its an easel card with tissues.....this holds a travel size pack of tissues & its open ended so it can be refilled. Its perfect for anyone feeling poorly with the dreaded flu dont you think.

I really enjoyed making this!!

I have even devised somewhere to write a personal message. I made a pocket at the back to put a tag in to write on.

The tag is a LLLC die

This is it folded down, it still folds down nicely to be boxed. 

The stamp is Stamping Bella 'Stuffy Stuffie' & it also comes with the sentiment I have added here. I have cut out the sentiment using a die from CC Designs Make A Card 16 Summer die set.

Papers are Lemoncraft Gossamer Blue & Ive inked the edges & machine stitched all around each layer as always.

Flowers & Lace are from my stash. The Joycraft die-cut the image is on is from Noor Design UK. The leaves are LLLC dies. The bulldog clip is from my stash.

Hello everyone how are you all. Do you know what once christmas was over I thought the days would now seem longer, you know not go so fast!!! Nope I'm certain they go faster.....or is that a sign you are getting older. Lol no dont be daft I'm only 21 how is that old...........sssshhhhh dont tell them about the added VAT on that ;-)

Ok so I'm late again with a DT card, I'm sure since I've gone very light blonde its bleached what few brain cells I had.........seriously ;-)

Ok so it is of course time for a new challenge over at Deep Ocean & its one I lurve, its something I rarely miss off cards.......except those silly men cards & I dont know why they cant love lace, flowers & foofy.........come on guys get with the program!!!

Ok going off topic again........the challenge is.....

LACE

.....yep just add lace, if you have none pull it off your knickers girls.....or guys pull it off your ladies knickers.........just dont say I told you do it ;-)

This is a card I was commisioned to do & I all I knew is it was for a girl, thats it. The rest was up tom me. Now on commisioned I wont do Magnolia unless they ask for it as I know not everyone is a fan of that. I did however choose Sylvia Zet because who could possibly not love her images.

The image is a topper from Hobby House....strange thing is I have this in stamp form as well lol, but they are fab when you dont have time to colour.

The shape was made using a Go-Kreate die & the inside was done the same as the front &all edges were inked & machine sewn.

The gorgeous papers are from Noor Design UK & are called 'Craft & You - Lavender Garden', I used the 12x12 pad.

The fence is an older Whimsy die which I cut in half. All the flowers are from Noor Design UK.

Dies used are La La Land Crafts which is the Lattice Doily Border, & I've used Magnolia 'Lovely Umbrella' die which I've been after for soooooo long then finally found a shop selling it in the UK beginning of January...........its not took me long to use it has it lol.

The leaves under the flowers are also Magnolia. Lace is from my stash & also the little clay butterfly on the fence.

The sentiment is CC Designs & came with the stamp 'Swiss Pixie Birthday Princess', I have actually coloured this little lady up & she's on a card.......I've just not had time blog her lol. The card has been made about a fortnight I think lol.

Altered Photo Frame

Hello everyone how are you all? Hope you are having a fabby weekend.

I'm poorly at the min with bad pain & the flu......courtesy of my eldest son who gave it to me as a present lol.

Anyhoo I'm quite busy.....ok I lied & I'm very busy at the min with orders & DT work etc etc....however although I cannot show you what I've made I've still got a few things you havnt seen yet.

Now this is something I made a few weeks ago when my thumb was really poorly. As you may remember I said I was pushing myself more this year in the crafty way....not just doing cute, or vintage or foofy........but trying a lot more to step outside of my comfort zone but also do new things....or at least try...

WARNING PHOTO HEAVY

Ok so I've got a couple of these frames & had them quite a while.......they were something I had in the bedroom, there is still one in there on hubbys bedside....maybe I will try pinch it from him lol.

Anyway I decided to have a play with it. Took the back off & took the glass out......

.....then painted it with black gesso which you can get from Noor Design UK.

I then added white gesso & lots of other things til I had this........

I decided that this was gonna be for me, for in my craft room as once its decorated I'm having it in pastels......so this will sit on my window sill.

The paper at the back is Craft & You 'Rose Garden' which you can get here. Though my sheet is out of the 12x12 pad here.

I added some gorgeous pearl trim all around the edge, the trim is stuck down but the pearls hang loose.....so there is movement on the pearls.....does that make sense lol.

I also added a metal corner which I painted white........as I could only find a silver one & a bronze one lol. All of my craftroom is still not unpacked....I have a lot of stuff still in my old craft room lol.

I added flowers & a few butterflies using a Joy Crafts die here. The writing is from an old rub on wedding set that I've had for a few years & never used....til now lol. 

You can also see all the crackles where I've added Crackle Paste here & there......by adding it in different thicknesses you get different cracking.

The sides got painted & crackled as well......there is also bits of embossing on the frame as well....I was experimenting...you know when the ideas come into your head & think 'why not lets try it' lol.

Using Joy Crafts 'Old Letter With Rose' clear stamp I just stamped the postage part onto the frame with versamark ink & then heat embossed it with white powder.

Ok will try remeber what I added to this part lol. I wanted different textures on this so added hessian in 2 different colours as well as Cheesecloth. I added layers of differnt papers from the Crafts & You Rose Garden pad, both the 6x6 & the 12x12. I used different dies to cut the layers out, postage was one & I also used Little Darlings Gilded Oval die (one of my faves) & a LLLC Tag Die.

The resin bit was actually from a mould which you can get here with this clay....I got these for crimbo off hubster. However after I made it & painted it & aged it a little I then accidently broke it......so I used the larger half here & the smaller bit is at the top just peeking out lol....was not going to throw it away lol.

Bling & flowers are all from Noor Design UK.

Added another metal corner down the opposite corner & some more writing from the same rub on wedding set.

Last photo now peeps lol. Other bits I added were Tim Holtz Filmstrip Ribbon, Birch Heart, Star Shaped Wish Bottle, which was filled with german glass glitter. I also added wooden heart button from my stash, a doily & the gorgeous Scrapiniec Frame that the photo of me & hubster is on....its a photo from about 8 years ago I think.....my hair isnt this long anymore & its also blonde now lol.

I have to say out of every project/creation I've made so far this year this has been my favourite. I really really enjoyed doing it...even with a bad thumb at the time lol. Its good to push ourselves even if it takes more time you just do it bit by bit.....I think this took me 2-3 days doing bit by bit, an hour here & an hour there....but by doing bit by bit I kept thinking of other ideas lol, so they would then get added lol.

Hello all you lovely jubbly people out there, how are you all? Hope you are all having a fabby weekend, I lurve weekends as its family time the whole 2 days......love it!! This weekend though I also got a new kettle yayyyyy I have a thing for kettles & this one is gorgeous & red & kinda like old meets new.....if you know what I mean ;-)

Ok you didnt come here to her about kettles did you.........or did you ;-) No you have come to hear about the midway reminder over at Lovely Hanglar & Sweet Magnolia & oh boy are they sweet & lovely.....especially when you see what all my teamies do with these gorgeous characters.......

How cute is this image......I was after it for soooo long, then I found her on Ebay yayyyy. I colo;-ured her immediately....this was over 6 months ago & she has sat in a box until now....poor baby :-(

This can be either a baby card for  new baby girl or a little girl who is turning 1....thats what I love about this image I hin it would suit either of them occasions.

Ok can you guess what papers I've used..........of course you can the best papers ever, best baby papers ever Maja Design Vintage Baby.......I have LOTS left lol. I tend to buy lots of the papers in both sizes when Maja do releases lol. Here is a mixture of 6x6 & 12x12.

As always I did the inside & even added a little pram in there using scraps. The pram was made using the 'One Of A Kind Baby Set' dies from Noor Design Uk.

Here is a close up of the stamp & she is called.....ok Im not sure what she is called as the older stamps dont have their names on the packets :-(

She is stamped onto Fabriano watercolour & coloured with distress inks & I added glossy accents to the bubbles & glitter to her wings & parts of the tin bath.

The balloons in the top right corner are cut from another piece of Maja Deign paper from the same collection. I added corrugated card under the image. I've also added 2 tags made with Magnolia dies but not stamped anything on yet as it depends what the card will be used for.

The Rocking Horse die is La La Land Crafts. Leave & swirly doo dah are Magnolia & flowers of course are all WOC.

Stitching is from my sewing machine lol.

Exciting News woooo hooooo

Hi everyone, hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Unfortuantely my daughter got poorly & has been vomiting all weekend........guessing she has picked up yet another bug bless her.

Ok so you have read my header right.....yes I have exciting news. I was messaged by the lovely talented Gina to say that herself & Jay would like me to join their challenge blog over at Lovely Hanglar & Sweet Magnolia!!! I was soooooo darn excited & chuffed & pleased......I didnt know how to write YES quick enough. Thank you again so so much girls!!

So I'm now officially on the Sweet Magnolia team yayyyyyy.....

.......so easy peasy peeps.......so no excuses for not joining in ;-)

I made a pop up box with this super duper cute Snowman....I love these fella's, they are adorable.

Papers are Maja Design Home For The Holidays 6x6 pad.

The tag at the front is from the latest Magnolia doohicket club kit Volume 12, so is the heart shape as well.

I've even used snowmen paper to match my snow-dude ;-)

For some reason I had trouble photographing this ;-(

This is the back scene behind Snoowie With Star, the trees are from the club kit, the house is from here........but I just cut the front off & didnt use it 3D (love it when dies are versatile) The trees at the very back are LLLC & have been smothered with glitter. I've also added Scrapiniec Santa's Sleigh which was also smothered in glitter, I cut 2 of the reindeer's off & added them to the front.

The Mittens are from club kit volume 12 & the snowman postage stamp is from the Maja Design Home For The Holidays collection.

This super cute snowman is also from the club kit & I love this fella....he's brill & I have to say he has been used a few times already on projects yet to come lol. The tag is form the paper set.

I've used Magnolia Paris Nights die & added stickles to the top of the lamp-post. Snoowie With Star was stamped onto Fabriano paper & coloured with distress ink refills & I added glitter to his hat, star & lantern, ooh & his nose & buttons lol.
