SUMMERTIME

Hello everyone how are you all?
Well I'm here with my DT post for the Noor Design Uk blog & this week I've not made a card but instead spent quite a bit of time of something for myself. This is going on the wall of my craft room.......once its finished that is lol.
I brought these a bit ago from Tracy, they are not in stock at the minute but message her & she will be only too happy to help. I do have another on the go which is for my daughter but for now lets show you mine ;-) I painted this all with white gesso first then added crackle paste here & there once the paint was dry.........then started to decorate.
Please excuse the photo's, will try upload some more later when I've taken better ones!!
I have altered a Dutch Doobadoo shadow box.....the theme of this came from Maja Design's August Mood Board below........ Summertime to me means family holidays & all the family going away in our caravans.....maybe I should have put 2 on there? Of course to decorate this shadow box I used the Summertime Collection by Maja Design, my absolute favourite, ok I lurve them ALL, but Summertime is my absolute fave....every page just makes me happy.
MB-August16

Ok so for the whole of the background I used a sheet of  'Is Always The Best 12x12' & I also used a 2nd sheet & I fussy cut the flowers from the top corner & glued them to the corner of the shadow box....if you look you can see the exact same flowers underneath on the base. I also fussy cut out the wording 'Summertime'.In the next square I added a resin frame & placed a photo of my grand-daughter in there....these photo's on here were all taken at times when we have been away on holiday during the summer.

I fussy cut another corner of flowers, this one came from the bottom left corner but I turned it & added it here. I also fussy cut the sweet little girl with her skipping rop & The heart has a photo of my goldendoodle puppy named Poppy, shes about 14 weeks old here. I fussy cut the Gazebo & added a tag behind from the 'In The Garden Die-Cuts' 12x12 sheet.
Added some Strawberries in there......summer just isn't summer without strawberries & I sit & share them with my grand-daughter as they are her favourite fruit :-)
There is also a Teapot at the top of the tag.........just like there is one on the mood board. I usually make everyone a cuppa as soon as we get there while we are setting up awnings.

I made a Heart out of resin a long time ago & used a stamp with a postmark on it while the clay was wet........I'm not sure what stamp I used, sorry.
The heart frame below that has a photo of my grandson in it. At the bottom I die-cut some leaves from sheet 'Greenery' 12x12 & fussy cut another sweet girl with a skipping rope. Underneath there is also the same little girl......I cut the top one form the 2nd sheet.

I fussy cut the bike..I love this bike with its flowers in the basket. I added a bike here with another frame with my daughter in.....now the bike represents wheels & as my daughter is in a wheelchair I had to add wheels in here somewhere.....a bike was the closest thing.
I've also added a die-cut of a bike & behind added a postage stamp form the Die-Cuts sheet.
I also added a resin rose to the bottom which I added fran-tage to.

The last photo is of the centre & here i made a little scene which consists of a lamp-post, some mushrooms = cooked breakfast every morning lol. The mushrooms are from Magnolia Doo-Hickey club set Volume 9. The aweosme caravan there.....I lurve this die, this is from Doo-Hickey Club set Volume 11. The wheel I used a scrap piece of Maja Design for the dark shade.
I added trees which were also from Volume 9 & I fussy cut a sweet boy out from the Die-Cuts sheet......yeah I know hes bigger than the trees & caravan.......he's just really tall ;-)
At the top I added more leaves & hand made flowers..... the ones on the right I used a Joy Crafts die & used just the 2 smaller dies & then added small Gypsophila flowers to the centre. The tiny flowers on the left are from a Doo-Hickey club set. The butterfly I made with clay a long time ago & I then added fran-tage.
All of the paper elements, die-cuts & fussy cutting I covered with a decoupage sealant to protect it all when its hanging on my wall..........after all I want it to last a long long time ;-)

Thats it from me, thanks for stopping by. Dont forget you can get these gorgeous products & more from Noor Design UK.

Lotsa hugs Vicky xxx

La La Land Crafts DT Card

Ahoy There...........how are you all? Yay its Friday once again & here comes the weekend but first I will show you my creation for the La La Land Crafts Blog & this week us girlies had the theme of Nautical.....Ahoy There!!
Now the style of this card was totally inspired by the uber super talented Camilla.......OMG I love ALL of her creations, even if I dont get time to see them all I'm so glad I saw this one....love at first sight ;-)
Now shamefully I have no nautical dies by LLLC so I've had to improvise the best I can......its also why this style card was perfect ;-)
As you can see the front is cut on an angle......

........to show the sail inside which was drawn & cut freehand.......I made a stencil for it as I will be making more of these.....I really really enjoyed making it :-)

I changed the sail a wee bit & decided to add a little pocket at the back for a tag, the tag & all papers are from Maja Design Summertime........I love this collection so darn much!!
Anyway I added eyelets & blue waxed cord to a handmade straw & at the mo I dont have any paper straws :-( Upside to that was the pattern matched lol.
The little boats on the place for writing were fussy cut from the Maja Collection.

I used the Icicle Border die that was recently released & cut out some green & turned it upside down & cut bits from it & inked it up quite a bit to make it look a dirty kind of green......well nothing stays clean under the sea ;-)

I have used the Stork dies but cut off the baby, sang & rocked it gently to sleep before placing down carefully........rock a bye baby from a storks mouth ;-) So the stork has become a seagull now.........ssshhh it does. Although the seagulls coming into my garden dont quite look like this but its ok.........things are different in the world of La La Land lol.

Added shells, tiny glass bottle & some Natural Moss....behind all that is my hand cut sea with white Structure Paste along the top like waves. Maja Design paper is from Noor Design UK.

La La Land Crafts products used are.......
Rubber Stamp

Dies used

Distress Ink Markers & Refills used....
Skin - Vintage Photo, Tattered Rose
Hair - Antique Linen, Walnut Stain
Outfit & Hat - Pumice Stone, Weathered Wood
Shoes - Black Soot

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend, thank you for stopping by.

Deep Ocean Challenges DT Card - Bingo

Hello again....I'm here again with my 2nd DT Card. This time its for Deep Ocean Challenges & this fortnight we have a fab Bingo board....

you can choose a line or choose the colours.....or you could be brave & go for the full house........ dont forget to mention which line you are doing in your blog-post.
Also one extra winner will be chosen who plays the full house.

I went for nearly the full house............unless butteflies are animals lol.
So I have, Button, Lace, Chipboard, Flowers, Die-Cuts, Pearl, Sentiment & Charm.
I have used some extremely pretty papers & ones that I've shamefully neglected......terrible thing is they are in my favourite colours argh what is wrong with me!! I have used the gorgeous Pion Design 'Scent Of Lavender', I've used 'Preserving The Scent' & the bottom layer 'Fields Of Purple'....all have been inked with pumice stone, slightly distressed & machine sewn.
The shape is from a Go-Kreate die.

Here you can see the lace & the charm there on one of the tags. The tags slide into a vellum pocket which I made myself. The oval the Magnolia stamp is on is a Memory Box stitched oval die. The magnolia stamp is Tilda with Heart Rice & she was coloured with distress markers & refills.

In the top right corner is the chipboard, this is Scrapiniec Inidian Summer Dream Catcher but over the circle I cut out a circle from the Pion Scent Of Lavender Tags sheet & attached a cabochon thingy from my stash lol.
I've added a Tag from the Pion sheet & the other tag is from a Magnolia doo-hickey with a sentiment from the Stempelglede Just A Note stamp set.
Flowers are form Noor Design UK.

This is what this part of the card looks like without the tags in.
I also cut butterflies from the Pion Scent Of Lavender Borders & covered them in Crackle Accents.
You can also see some CheeseCloth under there I think as well lol.
The seam binding is from my stash as is the lace. The gorgeous Brass & Pearl button is from Noor Design UK.......love these things!!
The leaf die cuts are a mixture of La La Land Crafts & Craft & You.

As always the inside is decorated to match the front of the card.

Hope you will play along with our Bingo Board this fortnight I had such fun with this. Pop along here to see my fabulous teamies creations......I really do work with super talented girlies.

Enjoy your night peeps & thank you for stopping by.
Take care & big hugs to all.

Lovely Hanglar or Sweet Magnolia - Use A Die-Cut

Noor Design UK DT Post

Hello everyone. Well are your kiddies back to school this week....my grandson starts nursery & my grand-daughter starts all day.....omgoodness they grow too fast & I will miss seeing her in an afternoon........although she does have to walk past mine to school & back so maybe I can nab them both for tea lol.

Anyhoo lets get on with my card & I've made a christmas card, yes another one....but its hard not to when Tracy stocks lush papers & fabulous Christmas dies.....not to mention all the other yummy scrummy stuff ;-)
I have used the lushious Pion Greetings From The North Pole papers & inked around the edge with pumice stone then machine stitched all around. I also added Cheesecloth between the 2 layers on the top.

For the shape I've used Find It Trading Christmas Card set.....I have to say these dies are awesome & cut perfectly....Im really impressed with these & I'm a fuss-pot when it comes to dies.
The Spirited Birds are also a Find It Trading die as well which I also added green moss & pomegranate apples to. I used another sheet of North Pole for the birdies & branch.....

So the scrolly bit........yeah my technical term for the die-cut is from the Christmas Card Set die, its the centre one. I added green moss again to the leaves & a little bit of Natural Moss & pomegranates apples, a flower & a little fir cone (cone from my stash). This die is out of stock but you can still order it & Tracy will get it in.

Down the bottom corner I made 2 bows with white seam binding & one from green seam binding(from my stash but Tracy does a much nicer one here) & added some gorgeous bling to the centre.........yeah more pomegranate apples sneaked in there too....& a fir cone ;-) There is also a wee bit of Natural Moss there as well.

On the blue top paper inside the inner frame I added a sprinkling of shabby white fran-tage & then added the Scrapiniec words Merry Christmas........these I left natural & just added a touch of Pumice Stone ink to them.
The bottom I added a Little Darlings Gilded Oval die & one of my favourite leaf dies.

Thats it from me peeps. Thank you for stopping by & hope you have a wonderful day......

Lotsa hugs Vicky xxx

We took our family to an Authentique Steakhouse when we went away this last weekend as a treat for them..........it was fabulous, truly enjoyed it. My son took some pics of my grandchildren so I thought I would show 2 of them to you...
Here is Payton making a silly face & getting her eyes to do this........
We nearly wet ourselves when she pulled this face........its so funny lol.

This is my handsome Arjay who had that huge struggle before & after he was born & still has a struggle now, but look at him here eating his ice-cream....happy little chappy he is. Would you believe he turned 3 in June......see how fast time goes!!
I love my family & its a blessing to be a grandparent to 2 very awesome children, I truly am so so lucky :-)
