Have Yourself A Merry CAS Christmas...........

Hello how are you all? I made some CAS Christmas cards quite a few weeks ago & forgot to put them on here. Now as you know I'm not a CAS kinda girl...........no, no, no,,,,this chick needs her foofiness I tell ya ;0) However I need to make flatter cards that I can put in an envelope instead of a box..........postage is getting too expensive.

Okay so here are the CAS cards I made...........

.......I made 3, the 2 at the back are slightly larger, tbh I cant remember what sizes they are.

My first one I made out of dark blue cardstock & used Memento 'Nautical Blue' ink for the 'Creative Expressions Ornate Bauble' stamp & LOTV Sentiment. I cut the bauble out using Spellbinder 'heirloom Ornament 2010' die & also stamped 'Noel' inside from the same LOTV sentiment.

This second one is in gold tones & the gold card I had didn't match what I had stamped the 'Creative Expressions Xmas Scene' in. So I heat embossed the edge of the card in the same embossing powder as the stamped image. 

I used Gold Tinsel embossing powder & the inside oval I stamped twice & cut the second one out & layered it up with silicone glue. 

I used the same Bauble stamp again but this time did it in more of a Taupe colour.......I had card to match this colour well lol. The ribbon is from my stash. I used the gorgeous 'Tied Together' embossing folder which was extremely popular last year, I also added really small 'Mei-Flower Gems', I think it adds a nice touch.

I heat embossed this stamp with 'Aged Taupe' fran-tage & again stamped the inside twice & layered it up. This bauble stamp goes with Spellbinder 'Heirloom Ornament 2011' die. I haven't added a sentiment to this one yet.

Well thats another 3.........oh & also the last card I posted before this to add to my collection. My aim is to fill this basket with flatter style cards. I have to say though I enjoyed making these & it makes me use my embossing folders more............I'm very guilty of neglecting them all :0(

I did mean to post this earlier but I've been watching my favourite christmas film with hubster & Natalie.........Miracle On 34th Street, I lurve that film.

Christmas Is Coming - CAS Style

Hello everyone how are you? Wooo hooo its friday, the weekend is here, we get to spend the weekend with our families..........love it!!!!!!

Ok so on to todays card which I actually made to enter in a challenge............very rare that happens now as I barely have time to look through them. However my fabulously talented blogging buddy Squirrel has a fabby challenge over on Without Words. I've been meaning to enter so many times but then forgot............also it has to be CAS Style...............well CAS doesn't normally like me & it makes my flowers cry & feel abandoned.............

Anyhoo's here is my CAS card.....................

I have to say I really enjoyed making this, so have another flat-ish card to post off to someone ;0) Also have you noticed...........not ONE embellishment...........yeah think we could end up with snow now ;0)

The sentiment is LOTV & I stamped it in Memento 'Nautical Blue'. I cut it out free hand.

I made a frame from navy cardstock from my stash to go around the scene.

The sentiment I shaped before gluing it onto the card, it looked better adding a bit of dimension.

This is the inside & I stamped the Magnolia stamp again, only half of her. I also added a Penny Black sentiment called 'Friends & Family', love this sentiment as this is what christmas is about. Everything is stamped again in 'Nautical Blue'.

The stamp is 'North Pole Tilda' from the new Winter Wonderland collection & I coloured her with copics.

Colours used are..........

E11, E21, E00, E000, R32, R20

E29, E25, E23, E21

B97, B95, B93, B91

C3, C1, C00

N7, N5, N3,  

I also added 'Stardust Stickles' to her hat.

To make the scene I inked the card with 'Faded Jeans' & 'Stormy Sky' distress inks then stamped 'Snowscape' by Penny Black in Adirondack 'Snowcap' ink & heat embossed it with 'Snowflake Tinsel' embossing powder. I also sprayed it with Gold Glimmer Mist, its a shame you cant see the glimmer on it in the pics :0( I also added more 'Snowflake Tinsel' embossing powder to act as snow, I did all that free hand.

The snow I made with card, put it in a cuttlebug folder & added 'Stardust Stickles' along the top egdes of the 2 layers.

I will be round either tonight or tomorrow to see you all as I have Payton staying tonight as usual. I'm off now to finish cooking tea, we are having Beef N Ale.............the smell thats filling my bungalow is gorgeous lol.

Saturated Canary Challenge DT Card

Hello everyone how are you all? I'm running a tad late as I've been baking scones, I've had a craving for them the last few days.

Anyhoo's its time for a new challenge over at Saturated Canary & this fortnight we have a super sketch that our lovely Maria made.

Now tbh I really am not pleased with my card & was going to make another one...........however I did not have the time, so its gonna have to do :0(

The papers are Websters Pages from my stash. They ahve been inked & stitched as always.

The flowers are from WOC, except the blue Magnolia one which is from LLC. The holly is a Marianne die which I've also inked with Tattered Rose distress ink.

The top left corner is a Joy Crafts Edge die which I cut in half, inked with Tattered Rose & then sprayed with Crafters Companion 'Spray & Shine' & added a pink scalloped pearl. 

The snowflake is another Joy Crafts die 'Ice Crystals 3' which I cut out twice, the top one I inked with tattered rose & added white fran-tage & the second I one I fran-taged with 'Shabby Blue' & added a pink pearl to the centre.

The gorgeous image is 'Candy Canes' rubber stamp which I coloured with Distress Markers. I wanted soft & pastel type card but tbh I'm not happy with the colouring on this :0(

I added 'Stardust Stickles' to her wings.

Inside is not decorated as when I makes cards I dont like I do do inside as normally the card gets ripped apart afterwards.

The Snowflake border is from Tim Holtz on the edge die & I added 'Snowtex' all over it then added a little 

bit of 'Shabby Blue Fran-tage'.

Midweek Magnolia's Challenge DT Card

Good morning how are you all? Hope everyone had a fabulous 

bonfire night last night. My pets certainly didnt like the fireworks, especially my boxer.........this was her first bonfire night poor thing.

Anyhoo's we have a new challenge over at Midweek Magnolia's this fortnight & the theme is a fabby one...............

THANKSGIVING/THANKS

..........we all should be thankful for things, whether its small or big. I'm thankful just to have my family, they are my absolute life!! 

Obviously us brits dont do thanksgiving which I think is such a shame so I have made a card saying 'Thanks'.........there is always someone you would like to say thanks to isn't there!

I have placed Die-Cut letters from Maja Design above her head so its like she is holding up 'THANKS' I didnt want it to be neat as I think it looks better like this ;0)

Most of the flowers are from WOC. I've added 'Metal Corner' with shabby white & 'Wine' fran-tage on it. The lace is from LLC.

I've added a 'Shabby Bark Heart' onto some 'Cheese Cloth' & also the 'Cameo' thingy & I also added a small amount of Shabby white fran-tage to them. The cameo was also from LLC.

The stamp is 'Tilda With Heart Socks' from the With Love Collection 2013. I coloured her with copics.

V99, V95, V93, V91, V000

C5, C3, C1, C00

The ground & background I did with Prisma pencils. I also added more 'Cheese Cloth' behind the image.

The gorgeous papers are Pion 'Purple Rose' & Maja Design '2nd of May' from the Vintage Spring Basics collection. All papers have been inked with walnut & machine stitched as always. The die for the card is a Go-Kreate die. I've also added Magnolia Doo-Hickey 'Swirl & Leaf' dies.

Friendship with Wee Stamps

Hello how are you all?

I have a card today with one of the new Wee Stamps on, I sooooooooo love Sylvia Zet images & I've really been neglecting them lately & I have nearly every single one. As soon as I know she has released new ones, off I go to buy them............stamp or digi lol.

So here is her latest release, well one of them lol. I've gone with non-traditional christmas colours.

I've dug out some gorgeous Websters Pages out of my drawer, cant remember the name as I have them all loose in my Websters drawer. I have a drawer for most 6x6 paper brands lol.

The lace & pom-pom trim are from my stash & the seam binding is from The Ribbon Girl &the colour is 'Flesh'. I have had it such a long time, it was still in its packet, so I cannot find the colour on the website.........shame really as its gorgeous!!

Inside is decorated to compliment the front as always. I have inked the papers with walnut & machine stitched them.

Isn't this image so darn cute!! Its called 'Friendship Is The Greatest Gift' & I coloured them with Copics.

The poinsettia I made with a Marianne die & inked the leaves with Tattered Rose & added a Metal Rose from LLC to the centre. The leaves are also from a Marianne die & they were inked with Sage & I added lilac pearl dots.

I added a 'Metal Corner' which of course I added shabby white fran-tage to. The sentiment is from my stash & the bells are as well.

Good morning everyone how are you all? Hope you all had a fabulous weekend. Well I'm running late this morning as last nigt we lost internet & I couldnt even get my card loaded up onto the challenge blog let alone my own blog. 

Anyhoo's my lovelies its time for a new challenge over at Crafts & Me & this month we have a fabby one. We want to see...............

VINTAGE CHRISTMAS

...........yep we are all in the middle of making christmas cards so come along & join in the fun for a chance to win fabby prizes.

I have used one fo the gorgeous new photo stamps that Teresa has just released today. This one is

 'Waiting For Santa', they also have a small version as well for any small projects you want to do, i.e tags, gift boxes etc. I heat embossed this with UTEE & then cracked it in places to age it although its not showing on the photo's.

I have added Tim Holtz snowflake edge & fran-taged it with shabby white & 'Aged Taupe'.

The gorgeous ribbon is from my stash & I added a Mini Bark Heart & a 'Shabby Little Angel' to the centre.

I've added this gorgeous 'Father Christmas' charm, I love how chunky it is, it also got some shabby white fran-tage on it...........well it snows where he is from ;0)

The gorgeous papers I've had since last christmas & they are Pion 'Snowflakes' from the the Silent Night Collection. The tag is also from the sheet. I've inked the edges with walnut & machine stitched them as always. I've also decorated inside as always.The snowflake in the corner is from MCH & that also got fran-tage treatment. The doilies I got from LLC & the sentiment on the clock die is from LOTV.

Across The Miles

Hello everyone how are you all? Hope you are all having a fabby weekend. Sorry I havnt been blogging I had my procedure done on Thursday & I ended up a bit ill from it.........tbh I'm not sure if I picked a bug up.

Anyway I'm here to post a card I made before I went in hospital. I inked up another one of my LOTV christmas stamps, I lurve this one.

The gorgeous papers are MME 'Vintage Christmas', soooooo love this pad!! I've inked the edges with walnut & machine stitched them.

The christmas tree is a Marianne die & I covered it with Snowtex.

All or most of the flowers are from WOC. The pearls, lace & ribbon are from my stash.

The gorgeous cute LOTV image is called 'Festive Post' & I coloured it with distress markers & added Stardust Stickles to the fur & the top of the letter box........its to look like snow ;0)

The sentiment 'Across The Miles' is also LOTV.

Inside is decorated to compliment the front. The 'Lampost' is a Magnolia Doo-Hickey die.

Well thats it from me I have my family coming for tea. Megan was going to invite us but Payton is poorly so I didnt want her to have to worry about cooking for us. So as it was last minute I'm doing pork & cider with dumplings, potatoes & veg...........I dont mind saying so myself its yummy & its my own recipe :0)

Midweek Magnolia's Midway Reminder - Layers

Good morning everyone how are you all?

Well I'm here today with a midweek challenge reminder for MIDWEEK MAGNOLIA'S & the challenge is a fab one of...........

LAYERS

............how easy is that.

Now this is the one I originally made but didnt have time to add my foofiness......... Vicky needs her foofiness ;0)  My hubster normally ends up rolling on the floor laughing his butt off when I start talking about my foofiness..............yep no guessing what he's thinking about ;0)

I have made a scene with the fabbylicious new magnolia's, gosh I soooooo love this collection. I've also added snowtex & glitter here & there ;0)

The poinsettia I made with a Marianne die & I inked 

it with Pumice Stone distress ink, same as the leaves.

I added snowtex to the bells & a wee ickle bit on the Christmas Tree charm. I made a double bow with seam binding from my stash.

Its a hanging I made so of course I had to use one of the delicious Melissa Frances Hangers........this I got from My Crafty Heart but she only has a couple of varieties left so I would hurry on over peeps.

The scene consists of the Peaceful Christmas Tree which I stamped 3 times, Show The Way Sign, which is still blank as I'm not sure what put on it yet lol. Not forgetting of course Show The Way Tilda. I coloured it all with distress markers & added Stickles & added snow drops using my Pearl Pen.

The lace, ribbon & doily are from my stash & the papers I have used 2 different kinds. The bottom one is Maja Design 1899 from the Vintage Summer Basics collection, the soft browns went perfect with the christmas paper I've used ;0) The other papers are my favourite Magnolia christmas papers from last year, sorry I cant find links. OOps nearly forgot, the berries are Magnolia Gold Vintage Berries what I got last year.

Well thats it from me I'm going to get myself something to eat as from 1pm I cannot eat until tomorrow night. Ssshhh I think the NHS are planning to kill me by STARVING ME TO DEATH!! Its a conspiracy I tell ya!!

My Crafty Heart DT Card

Hello there my lovelies how are you all? Those who have bad weather I hope you all stay safe, you are all in my thoughts.

I have a card for you today using products from My Crafty Heart & using a LOTV image. I inked & coloured this little cutie up a while back but forgot to put him on a card.

I have used the super cute 'James - Christmas Stocking', I couldnt resist buying a few of these when they were released ;0) I coloured him with distress markers, need to practice some more on bears I thinks lol.

The raffia stuff is from my stash & also the East Of India ribbon is. The poinsettia is from a Marianne die.

The fabulous papers are MME 'Mistletoe Magic' & I inked the edges with Walnut distress ink & machine stitched them. I've also used the matching gems that go with the papers. The dies used are Memory Box both from My Crafty Heart. The sentiment is from LOTV.

I have made the card quite basic as its a christmas card for a male.
