May You Never Be Too Old............

Hello everyone, how are you all?
Hope you all had a super duper weekend. Did you do anything for bonfire weekend. We dont bother now as ours are grown up & this year we had a 6 month old puppy who was her first bonfire/fireworks & she hated it.......she was shaking like crazy the whole time, poor thing :-(

Anyhoo's I'm here with a card I made last week when I got my Maja Design Home For The Holidays pad out.......enjoyed the pad that much made a couple of cards with it lol.
All words in red are links to actual items in a store.
I love this colour combo.......I love Kraft against the blue..........I love hessian....ok I could go on & on here couldn't I lol.

I made a poinsettia using Creative Expressions Classic Poinsettia die, I used the 2 smaller dies & cut out the in Silver Marianne Design Glitter paper........now although this says paper its quite thick......fabulous quality!! I also did one layer of blue to break up the silver a bit.
Underneath is the Snow Flurry Magnolia die.....you can see bits just peeking out & the leafy ferny thingy is a Marianne die ;-)

I cut this wording from one of the sheets in the pad using one of the smaller dies that come with the Little Darlings Fancy Rectangles die & attached it to a straw.
It reads 'May You Never Be Too Old To Love The Snow'......I LOVE this wording & we all still love the snow, though living next to the sea means we barely get any :-(

I used LLLC Tags die & placed one inside the other to create a smaller tag opening.
The Snowmen image is also from one of the sheets & I cut it out & placed between 2 tags, so the image was showing through the smaller tag.
I also cut another larger tag out in kraft & heat embossed in white a Magnolia stamp I've had forever, its a Silent Night carol.
Added a snowman charm & a couple of stars from the Christmas Cottage die set & covered them in sparkly glitter.
Inside is decorated to compiment the front with the same paper layout & dies. Except I added a Mitten from a Memory Box die ;-)

The hessian & Pom Pom trim are from my stash & the gorgeous bit of bling you can get at Noor Design UK here.

I also added a Scrapiniec Bell & placed a few gems on here & there. Postage Stamp image is from the Maja Design pad. I also added a couple of wooden snowflake buttons which really are fabulous & added a gem to the centre of each one.

Ok thats it for me I have hubby at the drs this morning for blood tests, while I get Natalie off to daycare. Then I'm off to my daughter in law's to take her a stripper.......now come on who has the dirty mind lol, its a wallpaper stripper.....lol.
I did all my cleaning yesterday before the family came as on saturday whilst we were all at my eldest son's a package came full of crafty goodness & I missed it.........so I will also pick that up whilst I'm out & have a crafty day.
Then tonight me & hubby are watching the new Xmen as that is released today on DVD & I pre-ordered it yayyyyyyyy.....think it will be the easiest day I've ever had.......if all goes to plan that is lol.

Ok I've babbled now, so will hush these buttons & say tatty bye lovelies, thanks for stopping by.

Lotsa hugs Vicky xxx
