CES DT Card - Woodland Creatures.........

Good morning all my lovelies how are you all? I'm so sorry I've not been around this week I have been trying to recuperate to some degree lol........I have my scan on the 6th July so I'm kinda hoping the op will be soon after. Also Jake & Natalie's new furniture FINALLY came on wednesday after a 2 month wait!! So yesterday I decided to start decorating Jake's bedroom.....yes I know not something I should be really doing but erm........actually I have no excuse lol..........

Anyway its Saturday & I've finally after nearly 2 weeks done some crafting, made a card, wow I was having serious withdrawal from it!!!
This week over at CES Challenges our lovely Shell has chose the theme which is....
Woodland Creatures
Now I did struggle with this as its not really something I normally do but then I found this cutie of an image & well.....Bob's ya Auntie...........

Isnt this ickle thing a cutie & dont you just love those lashes. This is 'Owl & Branch' from Tiffany Doodles. You get 3 Owls & 2 branches in this digi set......talk about value for ya money.......

The sentiment is a Tim Holtz tag which I've inked with Vintage Photo distress ink around the edges. The ribbon is from my stash & I've a staple in either side for looks.

This ickle cutie has been coloured with Copics & I've used Glossy Accents for her eyes, beak & feet & also the leaves on the branches. I printed out both branches & I attached the second one with foam squares to give it dimension & fussy cut the owl & popped her onto foam squares as well.
The backing behind the image is from Raspberry Road.........yep I cheated lol.

I've used 6x6 Scalloped Card blank, Card Candy & Fancy Pants 'Its the little things', its took me ages to finally use this pad lol..........its lush as well!!
All paper has been inked with Vintage Photo & I've done faux stitching.

Emma has new stock on its way in to the store so pop along to get in your pre-orders there is 20% off all pre-orders..........now you dont want to miss that my lovelies.....
Well thats about it from me I will catch up with you all later I've got more decorating on Jake's room to do.
Pop over to see my teamies fabulous creations & leave them a bit of love if you have the time.

I have no idea if this fits any challenges as I've not really being around blogland lol.....will take a peekskie later.
Thank you so much for your lovely comments & thank you for stopping by. Will be round to see you later.
Lotsa of hugs xoxoxoxox mmwah

My 1st Sweet Pea card - Mono as well!!!!!

Hello again just popping on for a quick post......hopefully lol. There is a new challenge blog called Craftalicious & their 2nd challenge(its a fortnightly challenge) is Monotone. I have NEVER done a mono card before so I was stepping a little out of my comfort zone & it had my head done in a little bit.....the card ended up taking me 3 & half hours from start to finish. I thought 1 of my Sweet Pea stamps would be perfect for this sort of challenge....I have 4 of them which I brought ages ago but never got around to making a card with them. I actually stamped her 4 times & just coloured her hair on each image & basically my monotone would be which ever hair looked the nicest lol......it turned out to be blue & here she is...... I even got around to using my Letraset Air Marker kit which would you believe I've had for nearly 2 months but I've just kept forgetting about it. I used it for the paper trellis, I do need to practice some more with it lol. I do like doing these easel cards as you know I find them so much fun... The papers are from K&Co & all the bellies are from my stash, the metal corners are from Ebay.. The angel charm is from my jewellery making collection. She is called Faraway Moon, isn't she pretty I love these stamps because I think they are different & quite unique. The moon is covered with Stardust stickle glitter & she is coloured with my Promarkers. The frame around her I embossed with Happy Birthday through my Cuttlebug & then cut out using my nestabilities & then distressed it with distress ink Denim. All the backing paper also got their edges distressed with my scissors, all of the dark blue underneath the papers are Denim distress ink. I think thats it I'm going to go link it up to a few challenges which I found today. Thank you for taking time to visit me. Also I feel rather ashamed because I've had 2 new followers over this last week & not welcomed them.....I am so sorry girls!! So without further ado I would like to welcome the wonderfully talented Coops & talented Sue from Craftyirchins, thank you so much for becoming followers big hugs to you both <>. Take care all bye-d-bye. Welcome to my Hobbit - my little crafting world

Good morning peeps, I've got my days mixed up lol, I said I would post my craft room on on Monday......I forgot oops....but in my defense I was making a card to enter into a few challenges today & it was a bit out of my comfort zone so took a wee ickle bit longer.... Anyway lets pretend its Monday ok......here we go; Good morning all, well its Monday morning & for some reason this morning I dont have the Monday morning blues lol, I'm posting my craft room on just as I said I would ;-)...................actually I'm gonna pause as my hubby has made me a cuppa & I really need some bickies with mmmm choccy 1s he he he he.....be bk soon.....
I'm back now, I was good & only had 2....ok ok I had 4 but who's counting sssshhhh........
Well here is my Hobbit......welcome, come on in & have a look around........
This is obviously the outside of it lol the blue cover is covering the bbq. This origonally was our summer house that hubby built but then last year he had a go at building our conservatory(he did a fantastic job of it....I am so proud) so once the conservatory went up the summer house ended up not getting used barely....its a shame really because we even have a real wood burner in there, you can see the chimney sticking up from the roof. Anyway in March of this year I come across some blogs & found out about stamping & then about Promarkers.....well I wanted then to get back into my card making so we brought me some stamps & hubby got me some Promarkers & before I knew it I had so much stuff & no where to put it...........so my clever hubby said I could have the summer house & he will put a strip light in & some benches, bookcase & shelves for my stamps as they were building up in a very large box......
So here is the inside of my ickle hobbit.....
For Father's Day I brought hubby an I-Pad so sometimes now he said he will sit in here with me which is why there are 2 stools......funny thing is tho that only 1 has still been used.........lol. My hobbit was done basic, we just brought plain white cheap worktops from focus, got a bookcase from there as well & some sheets of white melamine to use as shelves underneath the benches.........I absolutely love it tho its my little crafting space where I can do what I want, make as much mess as I want & even have my music loud lol...............cus of course we have to have music while we craft, I'm forever shaking my ass whilst working & as I'm normally working in front of the window for the best light I must look a sight lol............but who cares!!!!!!
This is on the right hand side as you go in........its my little jewellery making section( which I havn't used for few months cus I'm enjoying my cards way too much...sssshhhh dont tell hubby). This whole bench used to be for jewellery but as my craft stuff keeps on expanding for some reason I've had to squish it down to give me a little bit more space lol. The purple thing you can see up against the wall is my clipboard which I use when I'm colouring with my promarkers....I dont have to worry then about colours seeping onto anything....there is always a sheet of A4 card on there with stamped images lol.
The shelves contain all of my mounted stamps & all my un-mounted stamps are in a drawer....... the can there with the blue cap is damn blooming fly killer......pesky little things actually its the bees that bother me the most & in this heat we have been having I like my window & doors open!!!
This is the bench that faces you when you come in...I have my pics of my Dad(my bestest friend) & my Nan(she was like a mum to me) they are in here to give me inspiration...love them & miss them SO SO much!!! The black tub at the back that holds my pens & pencils is actually a sink tidy from Wilkinsons, its cheaper than a desk tidy & holds a lot more lol. The pic in the right hand corner that you can just about see is a pic my hubby made for me when I first got into stamps & promarkers.....he wanted a play & made me a picture for my hobbit lol.....bless him!! He also brought me a little sewing machine so it would take up a lot less room than my standard 1.....it was just £25..bargain...
This is on the left hand side, its where I mainly sit cus its right in front of the window & just in front of the window outside is the pond with a little water feature so when the window is open all you can hear is the lovely sounds coming from the pond.......altho you have to be careful cus the running water can make you go piddle more......lol. There is a big empty space on the bookcase.....this is where I keep my Magnolia's, but they are inside in the kitchen having a sort out as new 1s have arrived & there is still some new 1s I've not used yet........oops I am naughty!!!! The red box you can see underneath my back bench is my spraying box....its an old show box that I used when I'm spraying glitter or anything else like that & it sits in the box whilst drying as well. Everything is labelled in my hobbit & I mean EVERYTHING....I'm very organised & I like knowing where everything is.......I wish my home was like that but living with 3 males does not allow it lol...
Hubby came back an hour later whilst I was working on my card for the PFP Challenge & took this....so here is the back of me in my furry slippers lol. Well thats it from me.......thank goodness for that I hear you say.....I know I am SO sorry this ended up being a long post, I honestly didn't think it would be!!!!! I will be back later with a quick post for my latest card......gosh I have freed up some time, 3 cards in 3 days WOO HOO....I'M LOVIN' IT.........
Take care every1 bye-d-bye, thank you for visiting me I really do appreciate it & thank you sincerely for all of my wonderful comments that you all leave me, you are all GREAT!!!!!!!
Lotsa hugs Vicky xx

My Book Style Card for my Daughter's Birthday

Well good afternoon all you lovely people. Well here along the North East Coast is very miserable today.....where has all the lovely weather gone...boo hoo!! Still at least the garden gets a good watering so I dont have to get the hose out.
Well today is my daughter's 18th Birthday....I cant believe my princess is 18...do you know doctors only said she would survive maybe 3 weeks at the most........YEAH WELL LOOK AT HER NOW, she is a woman!!!!! I wanted to make her a special card, 1 because she is my little girl(yeah I know she is 18 but she will always be my little girl) & 2 because its her 18th. There will be no drinking though as it would mix badly with her meds & not to mention her wheelchair!!
Over at PFP this week the challenge is 'Books'....as soon as I read this it thrilled me & started turning the cogs immediately......SO many idea's.......OMG which 1 should I do!! Well I decided to do 2 1 of which is not quite finished yet so you will have to wait a little longer for that one......but this 1 is the one I'm entering into the challenge!! The idea came to me......you wont believe this....but the idea came to me when I was sitting on the loo....yes thats right the throne gave me a good idea lmao...you would think I would be too embarassed to tell that but what the heck eh lol! Anyway I decided to make a little book card for Natalie like a Fairytale book for her 18th using 1 of my pre-made cards that I have in a box. Normally I make my own from the start with A4 card but these ready made cards I brought when I 1st started making cards so I thought I could use 1 as its got the right folds already & it saves them sitting in a box gathering dust lol. Actually I'm really pleased with how this turned out & the most important thing was the big smile on my daughter's face today when she saw it.........
I covered all the cards in my Basic Grey paper, 'Porcelain'.....I love this paper pad!! This is a 3 fold card & the front has a cut out part which I did not cover in paper instead I distressed it with my distress inks, I used Worn Lipstick, Tattered Rose & Vintage Photo.....I'm still quite new to distressing so I was even more pleased with the effect I got. I wanted to use my new Magnolia stamps so I decided to put 2 images on this, 1 on the front & 1 inside. The 1 on the front is longing Tilda & I put her on a magnolia window which I coloured with my trusty Promarkers, both tilda's were coloured with Promarkers....incase you were wondering lol. Below the window on the front I have put some flower soft along to make it look like it has 1 of those window boxes, I also used flower soft on parts of the swing on the inside & around the oval sentiments....I just thought it added a nice touch.
As I wanted a Fairytale Book theme I scoured the internet for a picture of a Fairytale book, I finally found 1 with the words 'Once Upon A Time' & the writing very faded...well this was perfect so I printed it out & got my Vintage Photo distress ink to work to make it look a little bit more aged. Now though I needed a book page for the other side but every time I printed 1 out I just wasn't happy with it.....so I decided to make my own because after all it was for my beautiful daughter, here it is
'Once Upon A Time in a magical land there lived a special little girl called Natalie, she had beautiful dark brown hair, green eyes that were surrounded by long dark eyelashes. She was truly beautiful. Then on June 6th 2010 it was her 18th Birthday & all her family wished her a Happy Birthday & spent the day with her pampering her. They all love her very VERY much & always will do happily ever after......
I thought it added the perfect personal touch for my little girl & I distress it again with Vintage Photo to age it. The oval sentiments were little quotes that I found on the WWW.... 1 reads 'Your smile beams like sunshine which fills our hearts with love' & the other 1 reads 'When we asked for a Daughter we were sent a Princess' .
The flowers & stickers are from my stash as are the pearls, also the bow. To keep it closed I attached round velcro pads & attached vintage style buttons to act as little handles(couldn't think how to explain them lol).
Anyway I hope you like what you see & I hope they like it over at PFP. I'm also entering this into a few other challenges including 4 that I've never entered into before.....WOW I'm getting brave lol.
Well I think I've bored you enough so until we meet again....bye-d-bye, take care folks & enjoy the rest of your weekend.
Hugs Vicky xx

Tilda blowing bubbles bookmark

Hi there its me again.........well who else would it be, I do say the stupiest of things sometimes!! Anyway here is my 2nd post & as you have already endured 1 post off me today abbling on I'm going to keep this short just for you.....you've had enough torture & you are my friends also!!
This is my 2nd bookmark I've made & I've actually done this 1 the appropiate size lol. It is a new stamp from the Magnolia Fairytale Collection which are just the sweetest things......you gotta love those Magnolia characters(a serious addiction of mine).....just lushious!
This I couldn't resist to do her pretty in pink with my Promarkers(my other addiction). The flowers I have made myself using 2 of my punches & a couple of pearl beads. I've also used glossy accents on the bubbles to make them look more realistic but unfortunately my hubby couldn't get a good enought piccy of them on account of how small they are.....shame really because they do look good. On the other side of Tilda I've also added some Stickle dots, the tassel I have again made myself. I puched an hole in the top for the tassel & then put a small flower over the hole as I thought it added a nice touch. The tag is from my stash which I've had for donkey's.......
I'm off out now with my family & of course my poochies. Take care peeps, see ya's laters. Bye-d bye.
Hugs Vicky xx
The challenges I'm entering this in are:-
