Saturated Canary Challenge - Shabby Chic

Hello my lovelies how are you all?
Well we have a brand new challenge over at Saturated Canary this week, these weeks sure are flying by fast!!
This week it was my turn to set the theme, so I went for my favourite..............
SHABBY CHIC
...........yes its SC at SC.....(shabby chic at saturated canary), I lurve shabby chic so I thought I would try something new.
I have made a card & matching gift type thingy for my new grandchild Arjay ;0) I've seen one of these somewhere on Pinterest, cant remember where & didnt know if there was even a tutorial so had a go at different things & finally worked out how to do it................yay me.....
THIS IS PHOTO HEAVY I'M AFRAID
I've also used my fave SC image, yep def still my fave & is fab for lots of occasions ;0)
Can you tell whats next to the card yet??????
It was hard to photo so sorry for any bad piccies....

I've made a Hot Air Balloon............ I am quite proud of this tbh & I hope Megan & Ben will like it & hang it in Arjays room..............well when he goes into his own room.
The larger pearl hanging in the middle is a Tim Holtz 'Bauble' I also added a home made 'Angel' to the chain.

I have added 3 'Angels Among Us' by Melissa Frances to the balloon, Arjay is our little miracle so the angels represent that. The bells are kind of like sand bags that you get on the basket as weights lol. I also added MF 'Pleated Ribbon', Flat Pearl String & the little feet I made myself out of plaster.

This is the card to match for our little Arjay, I wanted to wait to give cards & gifts til Arjay came home cus then I was welcoming him home.

Lace & ribbon are from my stash. Flowers are form WOC & I added gesso to them. The banner I made from La La Land Crafts 'Heart Banner' die.

The image is the beautiful 'Butterfly Baby' digi image but for all you rubber fans this is also available in rubber as well now ;0) The image has been coloured with Copics, colours used below.
E11, E21, E00, E000, R20 - Skin
E57, E55, E53, E51 - Hair
B97, B95, B93, B91 - Blue part of clothes & wings
C3, C1, C00 - White-ish part of clothes & wings
I also added 'Cheese Cloth' under the image.

The resin image thingy I also made quite a while ago & neglected him, I also have a little girl. I dabbed gesso around the edge of the little boy for a shabbier look to it.

The papers I've had forever & only ever used 2 sheets I think lol but the colours were fab for this project so I used it. The pad is First Edition 'Up Up & Away', not sure where to get it from as I have had this since it was released. I've also inked up the papers with Pumice Stone distress ink & they have been machine stitched. I've also added Melissa Frances Pearls to the corners of the card.

This looks sooooooooo much better in real life, I will try get a better photo of the balloon as it really is quite hard to photo. Alos I will look for the pin on pinterest that gave me the inspiration, it was ages ago but I would like to credit where its due.

Anyway thats it from me, hope you made it to the end lol. As always all highlighted words will take you directly to the products used.

Thanks for stopping by, big squishy hugs to all mmwah

My Grandson Arjay & A Card Using The First Stamp I ever Brought

Hello everyone how are you all? Its extremely wet & miserable here by the North Sea...........I'm gonna need my brolly to go into my craft room today.

Now today I have a couple of pics of my grandson Arjay & a card to show you that I made using the very first rubber stamp I brought when I first started crafting.
First one I will show you is the most gorgeous one & that is of course Arjay...........
This was taken last week at mine, this is the day after he came out of hospital. Mammy & daddy had a very important appointment so I was baby-sitting :0)

The tube you see is his oxygen as his lungs are not quite strong enough yet. Would you believe he now weighs 8lb 5oz........... bit of difference to the 3lb birth weight lol. Isn't he just gorgeous, I just want to smother him in kisses & snuggles ;0)

Ok now onto my card that will be a LOT less gorgeous of course...........
This of course is 'Daisy' by Elisabeth Bell for Sugar Nellie. The first stamps I ever brought were 3 Sugar Nellie ones, this one & 2 Manga ones. I actually thought Sugar Nellie was a sweet when I first heard of them, thats how new I was to crafting lol.
This however is my most favourite stamp in all of my whole collection.

The papers are from the gorgeous Maja Design 'Sofiero' Collection & I machine stitched them all & added gesso here & there. They also got distressed & inked.  The lace is from my stash & I also added 'Cheese Cloth' & added little touches of Gesso to that as well.
Daisy has been coloured with my Distress Markers & the sky I did with chalk. The little white love heart I made myself with plaster & added a touch of Gesso.

All the flowers are from WOC.  I added Pearls from my stash & a 'Shabby Bark Heart' with added Gesso to it. The white frame I also made (I've been neglecting my moulds so made these a few weeks ago) the sentiment is from one of my wood block stamps. The pin is a Jenni Bowlin pin from MCH.

Well as Bugs Bunny says 'That's all from me folks'............I will be back in the morning with my DT card for MCH. I'm at the hairdressers in the morning with Megan we are are having a girly morning getting our hairs done. I'm having a whole new look, yep getting bored & time for a change lol.

Thanks for stopping by it means the world.

Another Male Card & Some Lacey Storage

Hello all my lovelies out there. I'm sorry I've been missing in action but my little grandson finally came home last week so I took some time off from crafting & blogging & spent it with the family. We also had Payton for a few days so mam & dad could settle with Arjay. He is still on oxygen & requires quite a bit of looking after but he's doing really well, so proud of him ;0)

Anyhoo's remember when I said I had made 2 male cards, well here is the other & this was just for fun, I was playing around lol.
I have a bit of Elvis Presley, this image is a freebie & if you pop onto my Pinterest board you will see it in 'Free Printables'.

The papers are the fab Prima 'Engraver' & the ticket I also cut from the pad. I also cut the ruler bit from a sheet of the paper & stuck it to the side for added dimension.
All the papers have been stitched on my machine.
I love the colour tones of this photo.

I added some burlap from my stash, some screw type brads & the sentiment is a Cats Life one I think.

Now I thought I would start showing you some of my storage before I reveal the new craft room, sort of a teaser I suppose lol. Now my new craft room I didnt want just a craft room, I wanted prettiness, inspiring, warm & welcoming. I certainly didnt want sterile & boring lol.
This large glass thingy lol I have had for years & it was in the passage way on my large unit as a decoration. (I lurve glass decorations) Anyhoo's I thought as I have quite a few others I would pinch this one for my hobbit (craft room) & store a few of my laces.
Excuse the plaster moulds drying in the background lol, they are not normally there. The basket at the side I sprayed & that keeps all my lace offcuts that are too short to roll on anything lol.
In the glass I used dolly pegs & vintage looking reels to put my lace onto & secured them with small pins.
I didnt want to keep it plain looking so I went to my favourite site & used this sign & printed it off onto water decal & slid it on my glass. The site many of you will know, it is of course 'The Graphics Fairy' & there are also lots of her freebies on her Pinterest Board. This is just for a few of my laces just to add some prettiness to my room, she sits beautifully on top of that pine dresser. Yes thats the pine dresser I brought cheap, it got the Vicky treatment lol,  but I will show you it properly another time ;0) There is something else to go on top of the dresser but its not quite finished & its something from the graphics fairy again. If you have never checked out her site............OMGoodness what rock have you been hiding under, this gal rocks........totally awesome.........its my most go to site on the internet..........yep better than shopping ;0)

Okie dokie I will go now but I will post piccies of Arjay very soon, he is getting big now & he's so gorgeous.

I'm gonna enter my glass thingy into BRAG MONDAY as its the first time I've done this & well............well I'm canny proud of it ;0)

Thanks for popping in my lovelies, tatty bye. Squishy hugs to all mmwah

IF ANYONE WOULD LIKE THIS CARD TO SEND TO AN ELVIS FAN THEN SEND ME AN EMAIL & I WILL SEND IT TO YOU WITH AN ENVELOPE.
Unfortunately I dont know any Elvsis fans :0(

Perfect Lazy Afternoon........

Hello everyone how are you all? Well decorating still not done, I have glossed my doors in the passage way though & there is 11..........yep 11 doors...... I kept spilling paint & didnt know why...........there was a little hole in the corner of the tray lol.............good job I have wooden floors lol, (I cant have carpets cus of the wheelchair).

Anyways, guess what........a few days ago I sat & made a couple of male cards.........yes 'Male Cards' check me out lol. So I thought I would show you my favourite 1st.
Now for male images I've always loved LOTV as they do some of the best images for our males & this is one of my absolute faves.........
Wouldn't you love to be doing this right now.............somewhere peaceful & serene...........mmm

Ok back to reality.......... I've added string from my stash & the metal disk is Prima 'Vintage Metal Trinkets' & I added a button on top.

The image is called 'Lazy Afternoon'.........oooooh I would love one of those... I have coloured the image with my Distress Markers & the sky is chalked. I ran the image through my sewing machine but took out the thread.
The perfect sign is from the paper pad, I cut it out & popped it on some mini pads thingies lol.

The fabbylicious papers are MME 'Portabello Road' & I've machine stitched all the layers & of course decorated inside also. The buttons & the hessian are from my stash.
Can you believe there are no flowers, no foofiness..........no 'Vicky' lol. No tbh I love this card & it looks so much better IRL, not very often I'm this happy with a card!!

Well thats all from me will be back later to do some blog hopping. My granddaughter is staying tonight so once she is fast akip I can go hopping ;0)

Thank you soooooooo much for stopping by it means soooooooo much.

Hello my lovelies how ya all doing? We are hoping to get some decorating done, my kitchen needs finishing & the passageway & all my million doors need glossing.........urgh, would you like to do it for me???? What do you mean you are busy crafting!! ;0) Just kidding my lovelies.

SHAPED CARDS
............yep no squares, no oblongs, no rectangles allowed...........we want to see your shapely cards ;0)
Now please dont shout but I finally got around to inking this little lady up.........
............I said dont shout!!! This card base I actually made 2 weeks ago which is why there is no stitching..........yes I have a few card bases made up then do an image to match..........eventually lol. Most of the time though I sit & colour an image then find things to match lol.

I have attached one of the lovely MF 'Decorative Hangers' to this as its a hanging & not a actual card ;0)
I lurve these hangers & have quite a few...........can never have too many of something ;0)

I've added lace (cant remember which one lol)& 'Shabby Seam Binding' & made a double bow & added a MF 'Pearl' to the centre.
I've also added a 'Birdcage' using an Impression Obsession die & a bird cut from a Marianne die & added a 'Pearl' for her eye. Flowers are all a selection from  Prima.

The tage I cut from the paper pad & added a Prima 'Bird shaped clip' to the corner. The tile is also Prima.

The image is 'Tilda Binding Flowers' from the Special Moments 2013 collection. I coloured her with Distress Markers, I soooooooo lurve these. I'm still trying to get hair right........that was always something I found easy with copics lol.
The frame of course is Spellbinders 'Floral Ovals'. I also added dots using a Pearl Pen.

The gorgeous papers are Graphic 45 'Secret Garden' & I inked all the edges with walnut distress ink & also distressed them a little. I've also added 'Cheese Cloth' between the 2 layers. The rolled flower I made with my Marianne die & added a coloured pearl inside.

Well I think thats it from peeps but why not join us in our challenge, there is still a week left. All of my DT buddies have made AMAZING cards.........I love these girls they are super talented & so inspirational!!

I will be round to see you a various times when I can in between decorating. Thank you soooooo much for stopping by it means the world to me.

My Crafty Heart DT Card

Hello my lovelies how are you all? Sorry I wasn't around over the weekend I spent the weekend with my family & my youngest son's mate stopped on Saturday night as well. On saturday afternoon though for those that are not on my facebook, I got to have my very first cuddle of my grandson wooooooo hoooooooooo.........it was seventh heaven. He's doing really well & I will post some updated pics this week.

Anyhoo's I have a christmas card today with goodies from My Crafty Heart & another of the new LOTV stamps..........love these!!
I've used my favourite christmas pad from last year, only have a couple of pages left so need more of this!! The paper is the gorgeous MME 'Lost & Found Christmas', love the vintage-y colours in this pad.

I inked the edges with walnut & machine stitched all the papers. The gorgeous snowflake border os of course MB 'Frostyville Border' which was from MCH but I cant seem to find it :0(

This is a christmas card that I will be sending out so I've kept it minimal to put in an envelope to make it cheaper. It will be cheaper as normally all of my cards go in boxes lol.
As I didnt decorate inside I added a sentiment & stamped the image, well half of it lol, in Brown Memento.

The ribbon is East Of India ribbon & I soooooo love this one, its a lovely fabric ribbon, its lush!!

The stamp is called 'Christmas Goodies' & I coloured her with Distress Markers.........I just love seeing LOTV images done with distress inks/markers. I also added Stardust Stickles on the fur & the snow in places.
For the frame for the image I used one of my favourite dies, Spellbinders 'Floral Oval'.

I added MB 'Snowflake Corner' & added Stickles & dots using a Pearl Pen. The flowers I made using my Marianne die. The sentiment is LOTV 'Christmas Circular Sentiments' which I've had for ages & really are fab to have.

Well thats it from me, a simple christmas card...........simple for me anyway lol. Pop on over to
My Crafty Heart to see what other fabby items Teresa has in her store. The offer of the week at the moment is £1 off all Prima Mixed Media Dolls, I have to say these are fabulous!! Also there are reductions on the 'Die-Versions' dies, so another excuse to go shopping, off you pop ;0)

Thank you for popping in it means a lot.
