My Pink Woods...........

Good morning all you lovely jubbly people, how are you on this fine day? I have been quite poorly & in quite a bit of pain the last 2 days, actually thats most days lol. My consultant rang the other day with results from my abdominal scan, apparently I have a sizeable cyst but its 1 of those that causes a lot of pain cus of also where it is......derrrr I could of told him about the pain I didnt need a doc for that lol. Anyway I've now got be referred to yet another doc to have that looked at & resolved before I can have any further tests done. He is gonna try rush it tho cus he doesn't want to wait to too long to do the other tests......yayyyyy thank goodness for that!! Anyhoo last night I was doing some behind the scenes work, ya know what I mean but then about midnight I had the urge to do 1 of my sweet pea stamps, I wanted to do 1 of the new ones I still had in a box!!! Of course once I coloured it I then noticed that In A Sweet Pea Dream you could enter 3 times & the challenge was ribbons & bows......well what did Mr Postie bring me yesterday......my seam binding ribbon & OH MY GOODNESS....I love this stuff!!!! SERIOUSLY!!!

This is 'Purple Woods' but my version lol......

Over at Friday Sketchers the fabby Jacque has done a sketch & its a fab 1, I will def be using this again!! Hope they can see the sketch. As you can see my purple woods kinda turned 'Pink'. Yes the marianne die came out again for the image which I think frames her beautifully. The gem in the top corner I got for crimbo.

She is coloured with Copics which I am totally loving & a smidge-in of Prisma on the pinks. I have also added white sakura pen as you can see & touches of glitter in places. When I finished colouring her I wasn't certain about her but I made the card up & it just all flowed together....dontcha love it when that happens!!! I had it finished for 2 0'clock am which I thought was good.....for me anyway lol.

The flower I used my magnolia doo hickey, the bottom layer is the insides of wrapping paper & the top is just thin white card which got coloured with R20 Copic. They both got inked up with 'Vintage Photo' DI, glittered & then a button from my jar.

This is the lushious seam binding. I made a double bow & stuck another button in the middle. The binding comes in soooo many colours, Mine I got off Ebay but I do know that a few ribbon stores are selling it now. I brought £10 worth off Ebay in various colours but I'm off to price up larger quantities now I know I like it lol.

Well I'm off to take my man a cuppa in bed cus he has been up with me most of the night bless him. Actually everyone is still in bed, altho Natalie is awake lol, its just me & the dogs here on the sofa this morn lol.

Hi guess what its me again.....lol....please dont cry this post WILL be shorter you cant count the pics tho lol.

Well this is our 1st challenge of 2011 over at CES Challenges this week so from all the girlies at CES we would like to wish you all a Happy New Year.

Thank you so much for all your fabulous entries they were amazing, sorry if we all didnt get around to you but with the crimbo hols it was just soooo hectic. We promise that our normal service has resumed tho lol.

Its cus I wanted to use a fab new stamp that I got off hubby for crimbo, he is soooo cute...

I followed a fabuous sketch for this & went girly on it. I am thinking of start selling my cards I'm not sure yet but I have so many boxed up but my confidence in my cards are really low.....so low that I dont sell them at all. I sold a topper once on Ebay that someone in Germany brought but I've sold nothing since then!!!!

Anyway onto my card here is a close-up of this cute little fella.....

I've tried something different on this image & coloured him with twinkling H2O's which I've had for an age but finally dragged them out yesterday.....I have to say it was really therapeautic using them I loved it & I think they are perfect for this little guy.

Isn't that shimmer beautiful. As you can also see I hand-stitched all around the image!!! Yes sat & did that last night whilst watching Twilight 'New Moon' again lol & I was running mega late with my card for Emma, good job she is a fab boss lol. Thanks hun.

I also stitched around the paper with my machine, I actually did 2 pink rows on the bottom layer but you may have to enlarge it to see it properly, the second row acts as a frame for the top layer, the top layer just got the 1 tho. Maybe I should of used a darker pink lol. The hat pin I made myself with real Czech crystals which are sooo pretty IRL.

The butterfly is from my stash. The pink card I used for layering is so pretty again IRL as it has a shimmer to it, I should really use it more!!

Sweet Stampin Challenge DT Card.........Something Different

Good morning everyone how are you all? Hope you are all keeping well & especially keeping warm. I am running so very late this morning so I'm not gonna do my usual chit-chat & just get on with it.

Ermmm I can hear you going WOOOO HOOOO

Anyway lol this week over at Sweet Stampin it is Team Fluffy's turn to give you some inspiration......

The theme this week is Try Something Different

We know a lot of you had new stuff off santy but we want you to try a new technique or a new colour combo stretch those boundaries & take a step outside of your comfort zone......believe me you will enjoy it if you step out of it......I never stay in my comfort zone too long I get worried incase I get stuck there.

Anyway a few months ago I brought some air-dry clay & 2 moulds from Crafts & Me but then unfortunately they got put in a drawer & forgot about.....yeah typical me!!

So when we I saw what my challenge was I knew it was time to let them see daylight.....I was soooo worried TBH but let me tell you I will be making more. They are so easy to make & sooooo lightweight even my hubby was amazed....the only way I could describe it when they are dry is its like very light-weight polystyrene.......I think charms have more weight in them & they are not brittle neither...FAB!!!

So here are the things I made......

This is the key I made which you can get here & then I made it look metal & antique-y like lol

This is the lock which you can also get here. Teresa at Crafts & Me has got a lot of things on order obviously after the crimbo period some stocks have ran out but please be patient new stocks are on there way....its worth the wait trust me!!! Now if you like the look of the lock & key but are not sure how to get the look or if it is you like the look of mine cus they may not be done to everyone's taste then send me an e-mail if I get a few inquiries I will do a tutorial on how to do these cus they really are fab.....I'm going shopping later I want more moulds lol. The clay I used is this one here & I barely used any for these 2 moulds so there is lots left.

Now the moulds I found easy but my mojo, I think I kinda stretched it this week after making so many cards, I think it enjoyed its crimbo choccies too much, so it did a runner for the night arrrggghhh wrong time to do that. Anyway here is a topper I made, it is 8x8 & I could possibly hang it up put it in a frame or attach to a canvas.....................or put in a bin, I'm not sure still what I think of it but my fab teamie sisters loved it bless them....so here it is....

I do however love the paper I've used its 1 of my fave pads it is GCD 'Paris Nights' oh you have to get this pad its just so beautiful & the feel of the silky paper is divine....ok I'm gonna stop drooling & give you link of where you can get this

I followed a sketch for the LO & I for the backing I actually used, well you know the rolls of crimbo paper once used up you are left with the brown card....ta daaaaa thats what I used I have kept ALL of it, yes my cupboard doesn't like me at the mo, but its quite effective actually IRL. Flowers are a mixture of Emma's & Wild Orchid. All papers were distressed with my scissors & then inked with 'Tea Dye' distress ink. Ribon, lace, buttons & hearts are all from my stash.

Well didn't I do well at keeping it short...........DOH!!! I should of just put a line thru my words at the top really.....oh well its a good job you what I'm like...

Crafty Purple Frog Challenge...........Carribean Treasure

Good morning peeps its me yet again lol. I'm actually eating my brekkie whilst doing this post so I'll try not get strawberry jam onto you.......I have a thing for jam on toast.....sticky-vicky lol.

Anyway its the 1st challenge of 2011 over at Crafty Purple Frog....so from everyone there Happy New Year. We are sooooo sorry if we have not got around to commenting on you all but with all festivities over the hols & multiple DTs but rest assured normal service will now resume.

So onto this challenge, well as a lot of peeps got crafty bits off santy we would like to see something new. It doesn't have to be just some new item you could also make something using a new technique.

Over at the Crafty Purple Shop there is some new releases the fabulous Amy has released some beautiful sheets that you dont want to miss, so we are showcasing some of them this fortnight...

This is Carribean Treasure who is just soooo beautiful this is the decoupage which you can get here. I sat for hours looking at which of these beautiful sheets to use....honestly I am loving these new ones!!

The backing on this is one I made myself cus I thought she deserved something special so I experimented. I used 3 sprays I started with Adirondack 'Stream' colourwash & then sprayed 2 cosmic shimmers, 'Sunlight Mist' & 'Red Firefly' then spritzed it with a light water spray & cus I'm inpatient I zapped it with my heat gun. This does have a lovely god shimmer to it when the light hits it at different places. I am really pleased with it.

This decoupage looks fab doesn't it?

For the frame again I used my Marianne die, now I've found it I cant stop using it lol & I also used the scroll die it comes with. I then rubbed over them using 2 different Metallic Rub-ons which I got from here I also sprayed it with CC 'Spray & Shine' after....I love these rub-ons they are great I brought them ages ago then typical me forgot about them!!!

For the shape of my card I used A4 card then ran it thru my Calibur using an xxl die to get the shape. I need to get more of these once the shop stocks up that is lol. The bow I made from material in my stash I have heaps of it & should use it more. I absolutely love the shimmer on this one IRL its sooo beautiful. The button in the middle is from my button jar. The sentiment is one of Amy's own made.

Anyway onto my 2nd post today. I've not done bad tonight I've managed get another DT card done for tomorrow & a card done for a couple of challenges. Just 2 more DT cards to go which hopefully will be done tomorrow......fingers crossed anyway lol.

I've been wanting to enter Mo's Digi Challenge which is 'Bless The Beast & The Children' I coloured 2 images up & was gonna use both but didnt want squeezing anything on so just went for the one.

Here is the little cutie which I absolutely love......yep another digi image dontcha just love 'em!!

This little girl is 'Shy' with her ickle bunny which you can get here. Isn't she just the sweetest little thing awwwww!!!!! I was going to follow a sketch for this card but to be honest I was spoilt for choice so in the end as I didnt want make the decision I made my own up as I went along lol, it wouldn't be the 1st time lol!!

This little girl was coloured with Promarkers & Copics, I have made a few mistakes in the shading issue in a few little places but never mind I will judge my light is coming from better next time lol.

The flowers are from Crafty Emma's & Wild Orchid Crafts, the little buds & the hat pin are from my stash.

The base paper is from Bearly Mine Designs plaids range & the scalloped paper is from here I love this pack its soooo pretty, I also put it thru my MS punch which I havn't used for ages. All edges were inked with 'Worn Lipstick' distress ink. Scalloped card was also from Emma's & the pink & white card used for layering & sentiment are from Paper Mill Direct. The sentiment is from WOJ. The doily & gems are from my stash & the pink velvet ribbon is from Crafty Ribbons. My new hanglar stamps arrived today so hoping to break 1 of them out over the next few days....here's hoping lol.

Well I think thats about it for me I am gonna link up then I'm off in the shower & straight to bed once I've dried my hair :0( Back to 6.30 alarm again now yuk!!!

Shey - Crafts & Me Challenges

Good morning everyone. Well my kiddies are back at school today :0( so everything is getting back to normal altho I still have my eldest Ben at home cus he has took a weeks holiday from work, altho he is sitting with his Ipad glued to his hand lol.

Anyway onto this weeks challenge over at Crafts & Me it is time for a new challenge, thank you to everyone who joined our last challenge. This week our challenge is

Paper Tearing...

You can tear it a little or go wild & tear it lots. Whiff Of Joy are sponsoring us for this challenge & they are offering 1 of their new January release stamps to the winner.

This is 'Nora Blowing Kisses' aint she just the cutest......to be honest I'm more of an Henry fan, hubby got me a few WOJ stamps for crimbo from Crafts & Me which I was quite surprised about & another Henry was in there so watch out for him this week lol.

Here is my card for the Tearing challenge & I've used another digi image that were released just before crimbo.

This is the pretty 'Shey' which you can get here I love digi stamps the sheer fact you can have them any size you want is just fab. 'Shey' has been coloured with Copics with a sprinkling of glitter on her fur around her clothes. She was soooo easy to colour.

The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts & have also had that sprinkling of glitter. I cant remember where the leaves are originally from I forgot I had them its only cus I went into my green flower jar that I found them. Yes I'm a very organised person lol, everything is labelled & stored in tubs or jars or drawers & boxes lol.

The scrolls I used a scroll die from a Marianne set, the scroll is actually comes with the frame I used in an earlier project. Yes it also got attacked by glitter lol. My sewing machine also made an appearance altho we did have a few words with each other....I got very stressed cus things kept happening it was fine at first then it all went to pot when the thread ran out. Anyway it was not the machines fault it was actually the poppy cotton I replaced it with....yes appologies were made, I've promised to use him more!!

The sentiment is from here & it comes in a set of 9 sentiments which are cushion mounted & come in a cd case so mine are slotted in with my magnolia's cus they all get stored in cases.

The paper is 'Annalee' Prima & is from here.

I distressed the edges with my scissors as I wanted little tears & a rougher edge than what you can get with the tool. I also inked the edges with 2 distress inks, 'Tea Dye' & 'Bundled Sage'.

The card layer the image is on & the sentiment have both been ripped, altho I did cheat & use my Wescot tearing ruler which has been neglected for months lol. The gems are from my stash.

My first post for Crafts & Me.....Forever Rose

Good morning, altho by the time I've finished typing it will be afternoon lol. I want to say a huge Thank you to everyone for all your kind comments & messages my eyes filled up a few times yesterday I tell ya, you are all awesome in every single way...huge hugs to each of you <>

Well I did my 1st ever posting over at Crafts & Me I was so nervous my ickle fingers were shaking when I was typing. I did remember not ot babble on like I do in posts on my blog so hopefully I havn't bored anyone lol.

I will put my creation on here now for you all to see. I am using 'Forever Rose' digi stamp by Hannah Lynn again which you can get here. I love this digi image I think she is so beautiful but the main reason I've done this 1 again is just to show how versatile she is....& how many looks she can have...

I have made something different & this I will also be doing a tutorial for very soon...I will keep the chit-chat to a mininum as there are a lot of piccies lol.

On the tissue box I layered the image with extra thick embossing powder & a wee bit of glitter & cracked it here & there.... it also helps protect the image I think. I wish you could see how truly beautiful this image looks IRL. She is coloured with Promarkers & Sakura gel pen to the rose to add a bit more sparkle lol.

Its for my step-mum to say thanks for all she does for us so below is the thank you verse thats on the other side of the box.

I have embossed around the top to help protect the card when pulling tissues out, it was embossed with Lilac embossing powder whcih you can get from here of course!!! Told you I loved this shop lol. By the way the Mother's Day pink embossing powder is so pretty & delicate just thought I would tell you cus b4 we know Mothers Day will be here!!!

Soz about the chopping off of the bottom of the card lol.

Good evening my lovelies, hope you are all fine & dandy I certainly am as dandy as can be. I should really tell you my news, I have kept this in since just before crimbo & I ready to burst.....

KER-BOOOOOOM

I would of posted earlier but I got rather engrossed in the tv which is extremely rare for me but I've been waiting since last year for my 2 uttermost want to see shows. Last night it was the fantastic Diversity whose dancing I am in awe of & tonight was 'Got to dance'....2 hours of it....fantabulous. For those who watched how fabulous was that 1st woman to get up in front of millions of viewers & just dance the way she wanted to dance was awesome & hubby & Jake laughed at me cus I ended up crying but I love it when someone is not what is expected but just goes ahead & does it cus its their passion.....uniqueness is beautiful & we are all unique in our own little way but to show that uniqueness is something else... If I ever see her in a dance club I will gladly & tearfully give her the biggest hug & dance with her. I take my dancing quite seriously I love it its my utter passion I was offered a job doing it in a big nightclub but I just didnt think I would have the time especially with having a disabled daughter so I declined....but it sure was a big compliment.

Right anyway now its my blooming tongue thats dancing away....gab gab gab gab!!!

Just before crimbo my santy came early but not in the form of a man but a fabulous Miss Santy. Out of the blue I received an e-mail from the fantabulous Teresa from Crafts & Me offering me a position on her amazingly awesome DT........WOW she could of knocked me down with a feather!!! I absolutely love that shop.....its my fave shop I love the stamps cus they are so different to the normal cute & I love things that are different. Ever since I stumbled across this absolutely fabulous blog not long after I started crafting, she had posted a card with a Sweet Pea Stamp on it....wow I went straight over to Crafts & Me & ordered 4 & I've been hooked ever since The shop is fabulous, the service is fantastic, the range is extraordinary & delivery is fast..........what more could you ask for?? I have always admired this DT & now to be on it, well its like a dream come true & I am soooo extremely grateful to Teresa & the DT for having me on board & I hope I deliver the best for you....I will certainly try my best. Thank you thank you thank you.

Come along tomorrow where I will be posting my 1st creation for them, wish me luck I am soooo nervous!!

Teresa has put a call out for some international ladies to apply for DT, she is wanting people from countries other than UK to be on her fabulous DT. Amy who is my boss over at Crafty Purple has absolutely wonderful things to say about Teresa being her boss & the rest of the girlies on the DT have been with since she started so that tells you how great Teresa is & how great the team is. Telsa......clean & simple!!!

Well good morning all you lovely jubblies out there. Do you know what all the snow has nearly gone woo hoooooo.......my ickle car is coming out this week I've missed her.

Well did you all have a good new year or should I ask how many of you are suffering & saying 'I'm never doing that again'? We dont go out or do anything now cus up until 3 years ago both myself & my hubby were DJ's so it was us providing everyone else with a good night, sometimes we would be at different venues to each other but most of the time I wouldn't take any bookings so I could help hubby with his & we would always dance the final dance together whcih would be 2am in the morn.......really shouldn't of done that job in 3 inch heels!!!

Anyway I have made no New Year resolutions me & hubby gave up smoking 18 months ago yayyyy & I spend as much time with my family as I can.....& we all have a least 1 cuddle a day, at the least & tell each other we love each other.....to me this is more important than anything....what else could I need!!! Altho I could maybe say I will spend less on crafting this year but as I havn't been crafting a year I will leave that one for next year tee heeee!!!

Well I thought I would start the new year with a new style of card....for me anyway lol. They would of been posted last night but I've got a new package on my lappy & couldn't crop them & went in a sissy fit, so they havn't been cropped I'm afraid lol.

Here we go with the 1st which I couldn't believe how hard it was....

Yes a clean & simple card.....wow these are hard the things I wanted to put on this but couldn't!! Can you believe 'No Stamping' at all.....sorry for the poopy piccy!!

For this I used the fab freebie of the very talented Teri from Delicious Doodles added a gem to each side & then put gold stickles in the large numbers. I think its one of those sentiments that could be used on its own or with a piccy.

I am nearly out of this lushious ribbon which is really lush IRL.

Ok so here is card numero 2......

I have followed a sketch for this one which is here...

To be honest I think this is another CAS card, not as CAS as the one above but its certainly simple compared to what I normally do lol.

This is 'Telsa' by Nikki Burnette & you can get her from Sweet Pea Stamps & Crafts & Me. This is one of my new stamps from when I hubby brought me lots of Sweet Pea stamps.....I have a box now with all my stamps that I've still not inked.....you dont want to see how many is in there, its shocking & I've just brought 2 more hanglars.....its not my fault I think I have a problem, its an addiction but at least its an healthy 1!!

The image is coloured with Copics & Promarkers....more Copics tho. I coloured her in sepia tones altho I did colour her skin in normal colours. I also lavished it in a few layers of extra thick embossing powder & then gave it a cracked distressed look with the help of 'Tea Dye' distress ink. The frame is a Marianne die which I found yesterday in my stash, I completely forgot I had it & it wasn't quite big enough for the image & as I had already done the image & embossed it I just cut 2 frames & glued them together.....I think it works well tho!!!

I added gold stickles to the rose & to the Doo Hickey flowers, I also added glittery embossing powder on the last layer when embossing the image to make it sparkle. The doo hickey flowers were inked with 'Walnut' & 'Vintage Photo' distress inks.

I also made this card for In A Sweet Pea Dream who wants 'Ribbons & Bows'....my ribbon is from a crimbo cracker, I saved them all lol. The bow is from my stash which luckily goes well. The paper is a pad I brought from Ebay & totally forgot I had so when I found this beautiful paper I just had to use it. The paper is called 'Vinatge Romance' & its by Black Market I think. The lace forming the envelope shape is from my stash, I cant remember where I got it from I'm afraid. I do quite like this card I didnt want to put much on it to distract your eye from the image also the paper is just too beautiful to cover.
