Live & Love Crafts DT Card

Hi lovelies, how are you all? I'm running a tad late this morning........I actually had this card done thursday night but forgot to take pics & schedule it. Since then I've been busy decorating & then last night I was ill.............ill as a dog yuk.

So hence me being late this morning. Ok so as you know we've had to do cool colours this week. So I chose to make a Baby Card for a Boy........also I was commisioned to make one lol.

I've used the new Pion paper's..........although I was stuck between these & Pion's 'Sweet Baby' here & here in 6x6. Boy was that a toughie ;-) If you look though there are a couple of things from the Baby Collection ;-)

All papers have been stitched as always.

All the dies in the corner are from Noor Design UK , the scroll here is my favourite. Of course I've had to add yummy flowers from Sandra's shop..........I need more blue lillies though REAL soon.

I have to say I adore this gorgeous ribbon Sandra stocks & it cried out to be used on this baby card. Of course you cant have a baby card without an Angel ;-)

This is the inside, the square dies are spellbinders. This isn't a great photo at all but I couldnt get a decent one of the inside for some reason gggrrrr......... Sorry about the lighting but I wanted to show you the papers better although it doesnt show the true colours here :(

I lurve these gorgeous vintage baby pics from Pion, the letters are also from another sheet of Pion paper.

I also added a heart shaped button & a silver pram charm hanging from it. There are doilies, cheesecloth & beautiful lace also on this card. Of course as always links are at the bottom.

The tiny feet at the top I made myself.

I'm not too happy with this card so I'm gonna make another baby one & she gets the choice of which one she wants then.

Well I have a huge clean up to do today..........mess gets everywhere when decorating doesnt it lol.

Live & Love Crafts DT Card

Happy Valentine's Day everyone!!!!! I hope you have a wonderful valentine's & hope you are surrounded by love. This is the day to tell that special someone how much you love them............although please do it everyday........we can never hear 'I love you' too much can we.

Ok so as you know us girlies have the theme of Inspired By a Romantic Song/Film this week. My original one for today did not get finished in time boo hoo.......will show it you another time though.

So this was a emergency fall-back kinda creation lol.

Ok so the film that inspired me is called 'Childhood Sweethearts'........although I have to admit to never watching it!! I wanted a card to represent me & my hubster.........we were childhood sweethearts, I was 15 & he had just turned 18............So this is why I chose this film. I'm not really a sloppy film watching kinda gal tbh, I prefer action, thriller, zombies & vampires lol.......

The papers are older Pion ones but are just so so pretty, I love the softness of these ones. Of course as always all links will be at the bottom of the post.

This of course is the inside which I decorated as always. There is still a space to add which to write a message of course & there is a small space at the top for a small message or verse. Isn't this paper so pretty.

I lurve this glitter tulle & all women deserve some sparkle in their life dont you think girls ;-)

This card I thought would be perfect as an Anniversary card, showing you when you were in love when you were younger...........if you see the Tim Holtz pin on the left side, in it I have placed a small Cabochon I made a long time ago. The older woman in the cabochon is to portray a woman after many years together as they would no longer be childhood sweethearts...........although still very much in love.

All the dies used are Joy Crafts dies from Noor Design UK. The edging was done with a Martha Stewart punch.

Well thats it from me, I hope you all have a lovely valentine's weekend. We are having our grandchildren tonight so our son can spend a romantic night with his beautiful fiance. We celebrate ours on the 18th as that is our wedding anniversary.

Crafts & Me DT Card with New Release Images

Hello my lovelies, this should have gone on yestererday but didnt have time to get to my blog, but shall not bore you with details & will push on ;0)

Okie dokie so over at Crafts & Me the lovely Teresa has released some new images...........they are yummy Vintage Photo Images & they are digital..........wow does it get any better!! I love vintage & I love it when I can print them out any size I want & however many times as I want & let me tell you these are all so yummy scrummy.

WARNING PHOTO HEAVY............

This image is called 'Whispers Of Love' & I think this is so sweet & I love the wording on it.

'Murmerings of happy thoughts whisper'd by a shell, deeper than the ocean is the love that they would tell'

The paper is Marianne Design 'Victorian Vintage' perfect for any type of vintage card etc. I distressed the edges & inked them with Walnut DI.

I frantaged the 'Metal Corner' & the 'Chloe Stems' with Shabby White. I added a doily from my stash & punched out little butterflies in the same paper & inked the edges & added pearls.

I also added some gorgeous. 'Tulle Pleat Trim' & some 'Organza Rose Trim' I love these they are so pretty.

The image I printed onto matt photo paper, distressed & inked the edges then embossed with UTEE & cracked in the corners to give an overall old  kinda look.

Now I also made a matching gift tag for a present to go with the card because the paper I was using is A5 the scraps left over were perfect for a tag. For the tag I find Melissa Frances cards are perfect as either a template or just decorate them up.......recycling.....

I always keep the cards that her gorgeous stuff comes on & because she does so many things, the card are all in different sizes........for this tag I used the size that the pleated satin trim is on.

This is the tag using that template, I even had a tiny bit of organza rose trim left to go along the bottom.......really need more but its out of stock :0(

I added one of Marianne's gorgeous 'Cream Tassels' to a Marianne clock die.

Now the image on here I printed off onto Stamping Linen, I printed it on an injet printer & on the matt side.....i.e smooth side. I frayed the edges then pinned it, using TH safety pins to some cream burlap, at least the image could be taken off & kept if the tag is thrown. It printed absolutely beautifully onto this linen. Teresa at Crafts & Me will have this in store very soon, us DT girls are trying it & lurving it!!!

If you enlarge this pic you can see the grain on the linen which looks like canvas, its fabulous stuff!!

Here they are together, you would have thought I would have stood them side by side instead of merging 2 photo's after wouldn't you lol. The inside of the card is not decorated as I'm not sure if I'm happy with it yet tbh.........you never know it may grow on me. The tag I like lol.

The flowers as always are from WOC.
