Happy Mothers Day

Hello everyone I'm here with your Saturday inspiration for Live & Love Crafts. Well as you know Sandy asked us DT girls for Spring Themed cards. Well to me Spring means Mother's Day in the UK as its Mother's Day here in the Uk tomorrow I am showing you a Mother's Day Card.

Now I made this card for someone, the request was a Box Frame Card & it was to be red.....

here's what I came up with...........

Ok so I've not actually used Spring papers........no no no I've used my utmost favourite red papers which are Maja Design 'A Gift For You' christmas papers. Of course I've used the ones that have nothing christmassy on them..........I love it when some papers are like that.

I cut the 'FOR YOU' from a 12x12 sheet of the same collection. Made a heart of flowers in the centre of the frame.

I really was stuck on what image.......however this gorgeous LOTV Bear cried out to me........after all he's holding a heart. He was of course coloured using distress ink pads & inks.

I also added a small piece of the design paper to the patch on his heart ;-)

I put a flowers display in the corner using larger flowers, Magnolia Sprawling leaves & one of my favourite Noor Design dies, the 'Swirl Leaf' die. I've also added Pearl String in there & a 'Mother' charm from my stash.

I decorated all the sides, inside & outside of the frame. The top layer I actually stitched a few rows around with my sewing machine.

The banners I made myself using my laptop. At the top I also put Rose Organza Trim which you cant really see in the pic. Think you can see it in the ic with the corner flowers a little bit lol.

Well I have a busy day today & its spending it all with my family & we are going to a shabby chic shop that my eldest son found. So excited about that. Tomorrow I'm getting taken out for Mother's Day dinner..........first time since I became a mum 24 years ago, definately excited about that as well.

Delightful Time

Hello everyone how are you all? Ok so today I completely forgot it was my turn on the SC Blog to show you a wee bit of Saturated Canary goodness...........oh & isn't there so much goodness in Saturated Canary :-)

Ok so I'm so mega busy at the min & things keep cropping up & I forgot to make something doh!! However I do have a card I made over a month ago but still havnt shown it..........well because I dont like it.............at all.........period!!

Here it is though because..........well because I'm a doofus & forgot to make another one :-( 

The papers are Prima, I really neglect my 6x6 pads unless its Maja Design 6x6 lol. I made the card when I was moving craft rooms so no stitching on this as my sewing machine wasn't set up :-(

The spotty ribbon is from my stash, I've had it forever I think lol.

The 2 flowers, the gem corner & the sentiment sticker are all Prima & been in my stash a while.

The image is a digi image & is from the 'Valentine's Bundle' here. I coloured the image with  distress markers.

I promise my next SC creation will be better.......it couldnt get much worse lol.

Well I'm off to get things done, I've so much to do this week & we've got another meeting in the morning with builders etc......this time thankfully its just to sign contracts before work starts on Monday..........yes the 16th............its starting earlier than we thought. 

I have brought Natalie a dressing table, yes I know she cant use one but every young lady should have one. However this is a solid Ducal Pine one but I'm gonna sand it & do it up. Will show you pics another time on what it looks like now. I'm so excited to do this for her..........think of winning the lottery & how that would feel......well thats how I feel at the mo about this project. Yes its just something little but its HUGE to me. My heart & soul will go into it ;-)

Ok I'm going now, sorry for babbling........you know me lol.

Live & Love Crafts DT Card

Hello everyone running a wee bit late today. I was at Birmingham all day yesterday, leaving home at 3am in the morning........so I rushed this card together last night but then ended up with a huge migraine.....I think its all driving I did. By the way if any of you went the NEC Crufts show........wow I saw the HUGE queue on the M42 to get in as I drove past.......hope you managed get in in time!

Ok less chatter Vicky. So as you know Sandra gave us free reign this week, good job really as this was a huge rush with a stinking bad head :-(

 I have used some of my favourite sentiment stamps which is Stempelglede, I soooo lurve Stempelglede stamps & wish they would bring LOTS more out ;-)

 Added a wee Canvas bag & cut a Magnolia tag out to put inside. Of course used some of Sandra's gorgeous lace :-)

Added flowers including a Chrysanthemum as it matched the one Tilda was holding ;-) I added Gesso to it so it wasn't as bright. Also added a gorgeous Pin ;-)

The magnolia stamp is from their latest release & called 'Loves Me, Loves Me Not Tilda' & I coloured her with distress inks & markers.

As you can see the tag is out is this pic & I've added another Stempelglede sentiment on it, some seam binding, string & a lush charm, oh & not forgetting the gorgeous bit of bling.

The butterflies were cut out from a different Maja Design sheet, as always I covered them in crackle glossy accents & inked the edges.........they look lush IRL. There is also a tiny one on the Bark Heart if you can just see it. Also added a couple of Doilies in there.
