CES Challenges DT Card

Good morning all my lovely friends this is a scheduled post I'm hoping to be in bed trying to catch up on severe lack of sleep this week.

Before I get on with my post I would just like to say 'Thank you all so sooo much' I felt totally over-whelmed with the comments you left regarding my sweet pea DT call.....you certainly know how to cheer a girl up. I know I sound silly but believe me the comments really have brought tears to my eyes so from my heart to yours 'Thank you' I love you all.

Onto my post now as its saturday as you know what that means yayyyyayyyy...its time for

CES Challenges

This week the very fabulous Crafty Emma herself has set the theme & the theme is...

'Flowers & Flutterbies'

So come fly your pretties to us as we would love to see them.

I kinda went ott with mine I literally went with flutterby....its a Mother's Day card for my step-mum, I'm actually prepared for once lol.

There are a lot of photo's Im afraid peeps...

The card is butterfly shaped & I made a box to match it & cut a butterfly shape in the lid then inked edges with 'Victorian Velvet' distress ink & then attached acetate to the inside.

The small butterfly I cut out, inked & then added pink glitter. The cream feather butterfly is from my stash.

The inside I decorated with doilies just to add that extra special touch.

This is the card which I made from a sheet of A4 card. The papers are Prima their new release 'Botanical' which you can get from Crafty Emma's. I embossed each layer with vines, roses & the top layer butterflies. I then inked the raised embossing with the Victorian velvet distress ink. All edges of the butterfly were also done & then stardust stickles added to the edge.

Flowers & Leaf are also from Emma's.

The gems up the middle are prima & the middle on the inside has the same gems on the body. The top layer is blank tho for me to write a message. The small butterfly on the left I made the same as the one on the box & the white butterfly is from my stash.

I did enjoy making this altho I was nervous about showing it but I was starting to bore myself as I havn't made anything different for a few weeks I get scared incase I get stuck in a rut lol.

Well I think thats about it peeps I do hope you like my little mothers day creation. When my youngest Jake saw it he said' Mum thats lush, can you make me a card for Mothers Day please for you'....rofl I found it sooo funny but his excuse is he is crap at making cards.....altho he's not I've got loads off him bless him.
