Swedish House Crafts - Friends

Hi everyone,

I'm here today with a very girly card that can be used for a friend, using lots of yummy products from Swedish House Crafts. I used some of my favourite papers from Maja Design, the Sofiero collection which is so unbelievably pretty. There is also something Christmassy on this card, can you see it?

Yes its the leaves. I have used Magnolia 'Sprawling Ferns' and I think these can be used all year round. They are my favourite leaf die. A couple of years ago I was going to give up crafting and sold ALL of my Magnolia dies and whilst my collection is now bigger than it was before, there are a few dies I still haven't been able buy yet :-( However imagine my excitement when I saw Suha had these in stock the other week......I may have done a little dance around lol.

The flowers are all handmade by me from white foamiran, the larger one I used a candle and foamiran and I tried something different.....I love how it turned out. I added beautiful Glistening White Pomegranates from Suha's store, love these!!!

Before I joined Swediish House Crafts DT I bought the Magnolia Doohickey Collection from Suha and if you order one from her within a certain time you get a free gift worth £20........now how fantastic is that....BARGAIN!!! Ker-Ching....

So I ordered Volume 16 and chose this Magnolia Dream Tag which again I used to have but had sold it. Thank goodness for Swedish House Crafts and all the gorgeous Swedish Products we can buy, insert BIG smiley face here lol. ;-)

I added a pre-printed image which I cut into portions to make this sweet little girl 3D. The base image I cut out using Gummiapan Stitched Rectangles.......I love Gummiapan stamps and dies, seriously I cannot recommend them enough.

If you haven't tried them yet and its because you have been abducted by aliens and then hidden away on some space ship in a far far away Galaxy....... Well I completely understand, BUT......now you are back down on Earth safely.... well your first port of call should be Swedish House Crafts......make yourself a cuppa and browse and shop all the fabulous goodies. You MUST try Gummiapan though!!!
Another view of the 3D paper piecing I did using a LOTV Simply Print. I printed them out & then used 1 of the images as my base image & then cut pieces of the other images to make her 3D.
I think I used 3 images in total, I did this image a couple of months ago so I'm struggling remember lol.

The butterflies are from Stempelglede & I coloured them with distress inks & fussy cut them out.

As always I have decorated inside to match the front. The reason I do this is because I think it's a perfect added touch It shows extra love and you don't have the solid heavy front that feels solid and well crafted and then a flimsy back. It's worth going the extra mile even though we have to cut into more of our yummy paper ;-)

Thanks for stopping by

You Are Special To Me

Hello everyone how are you all?

To day I have a card I made a while ago, I'm thinking maybe a month ago or just over.
I've used a Sylvia Zet image from Hobby House (I think) which I've had for ages.
I will give a links to items used at the bottom of the post.
Papers are the super gorgeous Pion Design Easter Collection from Swedish House Crafts.
I have machine stitched all around the edges as always.

Doily & lace are from my stash, also the bulldog clip is.
The small bit of paper is a scrap that I stamped a sentiment onto & then layered it up with foam pads.
The die cut going along the middle is a Magnolia Doohickey.

The gorgeous butterfly is a rubber stamp from Swedish House Crafts which I stamped with Versa & then heat embossed with white embossing powder, I then fussy cut it out & added fine purple pearl string to the centre.
The circle die is a die by Gummiapan from SHC, link will be at the bottom. These are fabulous for adding a bit of interest to your projects, I have the square one too & love them both.

The flowers I made myself using foamiran & Whimsy Peony dies. I used white foamiran & used oil pastels to colour them. The leaves I used olive green foamiran & added colour to give them a realistic look......its rare leaves are one solid colour.
I heat shrunk some organza ribbon & added some string in amongst the flowers.

As always I have decorated inside to co-ordinate with the front.
I used a Roxstamps die to cut out the image & then used a smaller one to make a frame.

Items used from Swedish House Crafts......

Thats it from me, thank you so much for stopping by.
Hope you have a super weekend.

Lotsa hugs Vicky xxx

AUTUMN

Hello everyone how are you all?
Sorry I've been missing in action I've been quite ill lately & then had to have tests took. So have not had energy to even blog, let alone craft but I finally made this card.....only took me 4 days lol.

Anyway I'm late with not 1 but 2 DT cards oops, so I'm combining them both...yep I'm cheating lol.
Ok so the new challenges have started over at All About Magnolia & Deep Ocean Challenges & luckily for me their themes are nearly the same.......phew!!! Lol.

AUTUMN COLOURS at DOC or AUTUMN/HALLOWEEN also at AAM

I've gone with Autumn colours to suit both challenges. I absolutely love Autumn, I love all the changing colours of the leaves & trees & love the rustle under my feet when the leaves have fallen on the ground. Its a beautiful time of year.
I thought I would use a Halloween kind of stamp but make her more Autumn orientated ;-)

This is Witch Tilda With Small Pumpkins but I thought rather than her being a witch she could just be sitting amongst the trees enjoying Autumn.

The papers are Maja Design 'Walking In The Forest' 6x6 pad from Swedish Houe Crafts. I have machine stitched the both layers & the top layer I cut out using a die from Magnolia Doohickey Club Kit Volume 11........you can get these Magnolia Volumes from Swedish House Crafts at a great price & they are soooo worth the money.
I also added gesso to both layers to soften them & give them a shabby chic look.....Autumn the shabby chic way lol.

I have cut the envelope from the Maja Design 6x6 pad & then cut the tags from it also & added eyelets & waxed cord & popped them inside the envelope to write little messages on them.
I also cut the shaped larger tag form the same pad & added Autumn to the top, the Autumn I cut from the front cover of Maja Design 'Vintage Autumn Basic's' 6x6 pad, I have 2 pads & 1 is nearly gone so used that cover.......recycle recycle lol ;-)

The tree's are Doohickey dies from Swedish House Crafts called 'Birch' from the Animal Of The Year collection. I cut it out of Kraft cardstock & then gave it a painting with gesso. The second tree I popped onto foam pad to give it a 3-D effect.

The Magnolia stamp I coloured with distress ink refills, I also added stardust stickles to the pumpkins.
Colours used are..........
Vintage Photo, Tattered Rose - Skin
Antique Linen, Gathered Twigs - Hair
Rusty Hinge, Hickory Smoke, Carved Pumpkin  - Dress & Band on Hat
Frayed Burlap - Boots & Hat
Ooops I forgot to add colour to her lace at the bottom of the dress......better fix that :-/

Flowers are WOC, the leaves are Magnolia Doohickey dies & I added some small leaves made with foamiran & Magnolia dies from Volume 11 to the larger tag. I used a peachy coloured foamiran & coloured them 3 colours with oil pastels.
Lace is from my stash.

Well thats it from me, please pop on over to both challenges & give my DT members some love, they are all so talented.
Thank you for stopping by.
Huge hugs Vicky xxx

Holly Jolly Christmas

Hello everyone how are you all?

I've been missing in action as I've been quite ill lately & havnt felt like crafting & even forgot to blog DT cards or even other stuff I've had made a while.
Gonna try have a crafty night tonight though ;-)

So I'm finally showing you my DT card for Deep Ocean Challenges which this fortnight is....
GOODBYE SUMMER
......you can interpret this as you wish, whatever says goodbye summer to you. To me its 2 things, 1 the stunning colours of Autumn & 2 Christmas my favourite time of year (jointly with summer lol).
So I've gone with Christmas :-)
Photo's taken on my phone again sorry, though I did take these a week or so ago & have since brought a new light thingy-ma-jig.........I'm so good with words lol.
I have used one of my Top 10 favourite Magnolia stamps. She is called 'Divine Tilda' from the Waiting For Christmas collection & you can buy her from Swedish House Crafts right here.
She was coloured with distress ink refills & I forgot to ground her so she looks like she is floating in the air...........so I cheated & added the sentiment just under her feet....she has something to stand on now lol.

The poinsettia I made myself using a poinsettia die, white foamiran, oil pastels & pearls for the centre.
The leaf underneath is a scrapiniec chipboard. Lace is from my stash.

The gorgeous papers are Maja Design 'I Wish' collection, which is probably my favourite collection, definitely my favourite christmas papers. I have used a Go-Kreate die to cut it out & machine stitched all around as always. I've also decorated inside to compliment the front as always.

The dies at the top coming down form the pearl trim are Magnolia dies 'Peaky Floral Tabs' which you can get from Swedish House Crafts. The christmas ornament at the bottom right is also a Magnolia die.

I think thats it from me, its took me ages do this post as my laptop is not behaving so hubster is gonna fix it tomorrow before it goes on the end of my size 11 shoe...........no I'm not size 11 I'm only a 5 but my youngest son is size 11 so I will borrow 1 of his boots just to make sure I give it the right boost lol.

I'm off to Ben & Megans as its family day, hubby was out this morning for father & sons time & now we are all off to theirs so even the dogs can play togther for the afternoon. Our Poppy runs up & down their stairs lots as we dont have stairs so its like a game for her to keep going up after the kids lol. I lurve weekends :-)

Thanks for stopping by & listening to my babble.
Lotsa hugs Vicky xxx

Lovely Lace at Deep Ocean

Hello everyone how are you all?
I'm really late with this post unfortunately so think of it as a midway reminder lol.

I'm here with my DT creation for Deep Ocean Challenge which this fortnight is.....
LOVELY LACE
......oh so so easy, its a rarity I dont put lace on my creations lol.

The card I'm showing today I made when I made my other LOTV christmas card.
This time however I used NO Christmas Paper at all ;-)
So the paper I've used for is Maja Design 'Enjoying Outdoors' 6x6 pad........the colours in this pad go perfectly with the image. I wanted browns to go with the forest the little girl is in but I also wanted to bring the gorgeous colour of her scarf out......
I machine stitched around the edges as always.
I'm sorry about my photo's just lately I've been taking them on my phone & on the conservatory window sill so they are not great.........time has been escaping me just lately as there is so much going on.
Anyhoo enough boring drivvle lol.
The gorgeous image is one of the new releases from LOTV, this is a Simply Print image called 'Singing Robin' & they have added even more since I got this.....may have to go shopping again lol.
I do have some LOTV stamps that I have coloured, I just need get them on cards.
I cut it out using a postage die & then added a layer of purple underneath to give it a bit of impact on the colour........I think its worked nicely.

I added Scrapiniec & WOC flowers down the bottom right corner & to the top right I aded a sentiment from an old wood block stamp & cut it out using a Magnolia die. I then added a couple of bells & some waxed cord.

I've been neglecting my foamiran lately so I was trying something new......which I will show another time, & I decided to make some poinsettia flowers. I made white ones using a none poinsettia die & I made these Ivory ones using a poinsettia die..........I have a few of these dies so its good to experiment to get the right shape & size you want.
I also made the smaller flowers in a purple foamiran using a Rosy Owl die, the leaves I made using a Whimsy die designed by Bev Rochester.

Sorry for the darkness of this photo lol.
The lace is from my stash & I added 2 layers of cream to add softness to it.
The snowflake border is a Joy Crafts die. As you can see I decorated inside to compliment the front.

Thats it for me, I have lots to do today as we got back from Berwick yesterday as we went away for a long weekend with all the family.....lots of washing lol.
I've also got my granddaughter today as she wants sleep over tonight, she isnt back school until next week as she had an operation the day schools started back & has to be off for 2 weeks.
Here she is just before she went to theatre, she was so brave & not scared at all.......I love this girl!!
Payton just before theatre 5th September 2017.

Well I better get off this laptop & move my body. See you soon lovelies, thanks so much for stopping by & reading my drivvle lol.

Lotsa hugs Vicky xxx

Hello To A Special Friend

Hello everyone, how are you all? Yayyyy its the weekend, lets hope the weather stays nice.

I'm here today to show you a recent card I made using a Magnolia stamp I got for my birthday & a new die that a lovely lady sent me for my birthday.... thank you again sweetie sooooooo much ;-)

The papers I've used I brought a while ago from Swedish House Crafts & they are the Pion Easter Collection........this is such a pretty collection & not just for Easter. I've had them a while but didnt want cut them as they are too pretty....stroking purposes lol.
I cut the card with a Go-Kreate die, all papers have been stitched as always.

I added lace across the centre. I added a straw cut down a little & added a sentiment from the Pion Easter Collection saying 'To A Special Friend'. The flowers at the bottom of the straw are WOC.
Butterflies are cut from the same paper set & pearl string down the centre.

I made flowers with white foamiran & I added bits of colour with Pentel Oil Pastels, these are really good on Foamiran & cheap too. I got mine from Amazon here.
To make the flowers I used my favourite flower die at the moment which is Whimsy Peony die designed by the uber talented Bev Rochester, the little ones were made using the smallest die & the larger ones were made using the smallest & the middle die. I also used the leaf die that comes with the set & foamiran.

This Hello die by Gummiapan I got off a lovely lady for my birthday, I cut it out 3 times in cardstock & then once in the same lemon paper I used on the card, this gives it thickness like its chipboard.
Ive tried to show the dimension of it here.
Gummiapan dies are Swedish dies & are fabulous, they cut perfectly but what is just as good is the price........they are not expensive at all!! Great value for money.
You can find the Gummiapan range here in the UK at Swedish House Crafts.

This Magnolia stamp I got for my birthday off hubster, would you believe I didnt get her when I got most of this collection.....then I was like...why why why didnt I get her!!
So hubby got her for me, she is from the I Believe In Unicorns collection at Swedish House Crafts & she is called 'Snowwhite Tilda' isnt she the cutest!! I coloured her with distress ink refills.
Colours used are......
Skin - Vintage Photo, Tattered Rose, Cheeks- Worn Lipstick
Hair - Antique Linen, Ground Espresso
Top - Scattered Straw, Black Soot, Wild Honey
Trousers - Stormy Sky
Boots - Pumice Stone, Black Soot
I then covered her with distress glaze & fussy cut her out.

Inside in decorated to compliment the front as always.
I cut the tag from the Pion collection to stand Tilda on & then I cut a postage piece from the same Easter Collection.
Not many die-cuts on this one but I dont think it needed to be over done with foofiness, I wanted the pretty papers to be seen & of course Tilda ;-)

Well thats it from me, hope you have a wonderful weekend. I have my family coming in a few hours for a bit.
Thanks for stopping by.
Squishy hugs from me to you.

Noor Design UK - Anchor's Away

Hello everyone how are you all?
Hope you all had a lovely weekend, we had a really nice one, out with all the family & both the family dogs on Saturday & then spent the day with family again on Sunday & had a BBQ at mine, love weekends.

Ok less babbling & lets show you what I've made with products from Noor Design UK. Today I have a more male inspired card for you.........yep less foofiness lol. I sometimes find male cards hard but I do think Pion Design make male cards easier with their gorgeous papers.
I love this collection.....ok I love most of Pion's collection lol. This collection is 'Legends Of The Sea' but the 'Happy Birthday' tag is from the Mr Tom's Treasure's Collection.
All links are below to take you to the products I've used

For the centre I used an 'Anchor' image from Images From The Past & added foam pads underneath to raise it up. Under that I cut out a rectangle using a Fantasy Die from the same sheet I used for the card which is 'Aye Aye Captain' & raised that too to give it all dimension.

The boat at the bottom I fussy cut from the Aye Aye Captain sheet & popped it onto foam pads & underneath I cut out seaweed from Foamiran.
The Anchor, Lighthouse & Seagull are cut from Joy Crafts dies.

The tag I cut from Pion Mr Tom's Treasures 'Mr Tom's Memory's Notes'. I punched a hole through it, added an eyelet & then a keyring from my stash hooked onto a Tim Holtz Clip.

I cut the corner from a Joy Crafts corner die. I also added bubbles here & there using Structure Paste & a mask art stencil that Tracy can order in if you would like it.
Seaweed is cut with a Magnolia die.

Thats it from me, thank you so much for stopping by.
Lotsa hugs Vicky xxx
P.S. Sorry about pics I've still not set up an area for my light tent & lights so this is took on my bench with just my big lights on & luckily we fitted LED lights under the units on the wall so they shine out so much extra liught, they are fab & a fab price too...... ;-)

The products used can be ordered in the Noor! Design U.K. webshop:
