Merry Christmas from Swedish House Crafts

Hi everyone I'm here today with another Christmas Card. I actually made this the same time as I made the last one........yes its been made for a few weeks lol. If you look at my last card you will even see the Christmas Tree from the cut-out on this card as I made this one first lol.

I used a Gummiapan stamp to stamp Merry Christmas & then cut it out using Gummiapan Stitched Banners to cut it out.

I wanted the trees as main focus for my card but wanted more of a pop, so decided to cut a Christmas Tree right in the centre of my top layer of paper & then have a bold colour paper underneath.
I cut another tree out using Kraft card & to give it some interest I added buttons & paint for a snow effect. You can get the matching stamp for this tree which is fabulous & has many possibilities.

Have you also seen the little birdies up in the tree's.....you need birdies in a tree & these dies are fabulous for using up those tiny scraps of paper.

To give it a wintery feel I added a Reindeer, Pine Cone, a glistening berry & a few other things to give interest & texture from my stash, including some rusty bells just hanging out under the seam binding.
Everything also got a dollop of white gesso to give a snowy wintery effect.........I love a winter scene.

Papers I've used are Maja Design Joyous Winterdays & I machine stitched all around them. The top layer was lifted using foam pads........if however you have no foam pads I keep all my cardboard form any crafty parcels & cut it into strips & keep them in a plastic box on top of one of my cupboards.....you can use the card to give dimension instead of using foam pads.....recycling is good.

Now I have a little something for you, if you would like to order any of these products I have used on my card then our lovely Boss is giving you 5% off these products.....all the links to the products are below. This is the code you need to enter to get your 5% discount SA46TUP30DKW, this code is valid until the end of December. Merry Christmas from SHC.

Hope I have given you a bit of inspiration, I really enjoyed making this card.

Take care, hugs Vicky xxx

You Are Special To Me

Hello everyone how are you all?

To day I have a card I made a while ago, I'm thinking maybe a month ago or just over.
I've used a Sylvia Zet image from Hobby House (I think) which I've had for ages.
I will give a links to items used at the bottom of the post.
Papers are the super gorgeous Pion Design Easter Collection from Swedish House Crafts.
I have machine stitched all around the edges as always.

Doily & lace are from my stash, also the bulldog clip is.
The small bit of paper is a scrap that I stamped a sentiment onto & then layered it up with foam pads.
The die cut going along the middle is a Magnolia Doohickey.

The gorgeous butterfly is a rubber stamp from Swedish House Crafts which I stamped with Versa & then heat embossed with white embossing powder, I then fussy cut it out & added fine purple pearl string to the centre.
The circle die is a die by Gummiapan from SHC, link will be at the bottom. These are fabulous for adding a bit of interest to your projects, I have the square one too & love them both.

The flowers I made myself using foamiran & Whimsy Peony dies. I used white foamiran & used oil pastels to colour them. The leaves I used olive green foamiran & added colour to give them a realistic look......its rare leaves are one solid colour.
I heat shrunk some organza ribbon & added some string in amongst the flowers.

As always I have decorated inside to co-ordinate with the front.
I used a Roxstamps die to cut out the image & then used a smaller one to make a frame.

Items used from Swedish House Crafts......

Thats it from me, thank you so much for stopping by.
Hope you have a super weekend.

Lotsa hugs Vicky xxx

Swedish House Crafts DT Card

Hello there, hope you are all well.

I'm here today with my first official post for Swedish House Crafts wooooo hooooooo. I made this card a couple of weeks ago before I went on holiday using lots of products from SHC.

I was going to make a Magnolia card as Suha has sooooooo many gorgeous Magnolia stamps and dies but then I decided to use some Gummiapan products which I'm getting addicted to. Their stamps stamp perfectly every time and their dies cut brilliantly.......I love them......the best bit is the price, great products at a fantastic price!!!

So here's my card, a bit of shabby chic the Gummiapan way ;-)

The papers are Pion Design Easter Collection, I love this whole collection and all the sheets can be used for all year round.......as you can see. Every sheet really is so so pretty.
On my 2nd layer I used the Gummiapan Old Paper die, on some of the little splits I distressed and made them slightly bigger so I could put bits of lace underneath.....this is an excellent way of using up scraps of lace you have lying around.....I never throw anything lol.
I very slightly distressed the whole layer and inked it up with Pumice Stone distress ink, concentrating it more in the little splits/rips.
For the sentiment I used Gummiapan 'Without Change There Would Be No Butterflies'....I lurve this sentiment. I stamped with Versa onto vellum and then added white embossing powder and cut it out using oval dies. I then made a frame using two oval dies to attach it to. The right side of the oval is popped up onto a tiny foam pad to keep it raised.

For the large butterflies I used the Gummiapan Butterfly Morpho large and again using versamark and vellum, I used white and pink embossing powder and then fussy cut them out. Once they are cut out I then gently creased the vellum either side of the body to fold the wings up and glue onto a flat butterfly.

The little butterflies were made using Gummiapan Butterfly Morpho small and Gummiapan Butterfly Monarch small and again I slightly creased them either side of the body to give them dimension as though they are flying.

The rectangle was cut using the Gummiapan Stitched Rectangles, I cut out a piece from Pion Design paper first and then I used two different sized dies and made a frame to go on top. I also added flowers, Magnolia leaves and some twine and lace to finish the shabby chic look to this card.
The bottom layer I distressed slightly and then machine stitched all around.

I hope I have give you some inspiration. Live In The Moment

Hello everyone how are you all?
I'm here today to show you a card I made the weekend it was my birthday, 8-9th July. I had new goodies delivered on my birthday from Swedish House Crafts.....now what better excuse than when you have new stash!!
Hubby brought me another set of Maja Design Sofiero collection & with them you get the set of matching monochromes.......maybe you should buy 2 sets then you can stroke one set while you use the other set ;-)
Sorry if the photo's are not great I'm still getting a proper light thingy set up plus I'm not using my new camera yet.......if I'm busy I end up grabbing the old one what I know how to use blah blah blah.....

Look at those Sofiero papers so soooo pretty, as always they have been machine stitched. I used Magnolia dies across the centre, Sakura Background die (peeking out top & bottom) & the leaves are Magnolia dies also.

The sentiment is Gummipan Stamp which was a lovely birthday present off a beautiful kind lady mmwah.......I love this, isn't it fab!! I cut it out using Roxstamps Cross Stitch nesting square dies which let me tell you are fabulous!!

At the side of the sentiment stands Farmer Tilda from the Magnolia  Farm to Market collection....see she's not just a farmer.....she is a wise farmer, telling you to live in the moment & love life ;-)
I coloured her with distress ink refills.

Thats it from me, hope you all have a wonderful weekend & lets hope for nice weather.
Thanks for stopping by
Hugs Vicky xxx
