Blue & Grey

Hello everyone how are you all? Hope you have all had a lovely weekend.
I've been really poorly with an awful bug these last few days & apart from half an hour saturday morning to do a few things with my lappy I've not touched it all weekend, but ive been getting lots of headaches with the bug as well :-( I've barely crafted this last whole week.........I'm having serious withdrawal.....maybe its not a bug at all but its actually withdrawal from not crafting lol.

Anyway I did make card before I was poorly, actually I've got a few things made but havnt been wanting to use my lappy so havn't blogged them....though some are DT work ;-)
Ok so this is a simple kinda card that had no plan except a window lol........that was it & Pion paper....
.....ok I know it doesnt quite look simple but it is.......sort of ;-)
Now when you hear blues & greys you think dreary dont you......well Pion Design make sure its far from dreary with these pretty papers from the Greeting's From The North Pole collection.

The window is a Marianne Design die & underneath on the sill I added more leaves form matt silver cardstock from my stash & a snowflake button. I added a pearl to the centre of the button & the little dots are done with pearl pens.

So I've had a play with the foamiran.........only a little though as I was scared I would ruin my iron lol.......so today hubster went & brought a cheap iron just for my craft room lol. This I didnt do too much with to be honest, the blue I wanted to lighten so I used florist spray to tone it down & just heated it a little with my heat gun. The white I used on the iron just a little. I have made 2 flowers but all I've had time watch is 1 video on flower making & then it was a big poppy.......so once I'm feeling better I will play & experiment properly on my own.
The centre is made up with a silver pomegranate & silver stamens.

I added a layers of lace across the card & added pearls dots.........kinda got carried away with those lol.
All the leaves were made with Tim HOltz Holiday Greens dies, all were cut in matt silver cardstock & white cardstock. I also added white pomegranate apples & bow made with ribbon which I melted with a heatgun.

As always I've decorated inside. All papers were machine stitched & distressed a little bit.
Ooh I've also added white & grey berries in with the poinsettia at the top, nearly forgot about those little beauties.

Well thats it from me as my headache is coming back....wish this bug would bu**er off lol.

You can get most of these supplies from Noor Design UK.

Thanks for stopping by.
Lotsa hugs Vicky xxx

For A Dear Friend

Hello everyone, how are you all?
This is a card I made a week or 2 ago I think......
Isve used Pion Design christmas papers & the image is also Pion Design.......these images are gorgeous!!!
So papers I have used are Dear Santa from Pion Design Night Before Christmas, I have also used Pion Design Palette Ocra II for matting. These sheets are beautiful for matting behinmd your papers on your card. Even for die-cuts to match your theme.......very versatile & gorgeous colours.

The poinsettia was made with Creative Expressions Classic Poinsettia die, the centre is actually from old christmas crackers. You know the bit they tie aroun d & the little bauble type things they put on......wow I am fabulous at explaining things lol.
The leaves are Holiday Greens die right here......can you tell this is a new die, for me anyway........OMG I love it & dont know why I didnt get it sooner!!!

I added a straw cut down a tiny bit & then added a sentiment cut from Pion Design Night Before Christmas Borders sheet. The little snowflakes are from Magnolia

This I cut from the same sheet as the card & made it into a tag as I love the verse on it.

This is the inside & I added tags to write on. The tags are cut from Pion Design Night Before Christmas Memory Notes. The border along the bottom came from the borders sheet.

The gorgeous ribbon is form my stash & I made a cabochon for the centre saying Merry Christmas.
The snowflake border die & the larger snowflake are both Joycraft dies form Noor Design UK.
The image is from Pion Design Night Before Christmas Images From The Past.....I have to say this is my favourite image sheet ever!! I love all the images & verses you get on this sheet.

Ok thats it form me, hopefully this has published whilst I'm away.
I am sorry for any mis-spellings etc my keyboard is not letting me type out certain letters.....or commas etc....I cannot even make a smiley face....

Thjanks for stopping by

Card With Ornament

Hello everyone, I'm hoping this goes live as I'm away in the caravan this week.

I made this card a couple of weeks, I started off where I was going to make a bauble shaped card but then decided I would make something different & stretch my brain to come up with something new.

So I made a christmas card which also contains a tree ornament......card & ornament in one.
So this is the first look you get when you first see the card.....lots of glitter & poinsettias lol.....
All links to items used will be at the bottom of this post.

This is the inside of the card using a gorgeous new die. The image at the side I fussy cut from a Pion sheet......I have to say this Pion collection have the most gorgeous colours....

This is the part you can take off the card & hang on the christmas tree, you could put a photo or anything on this part........even colour co-ordinate to a persons tree.
However I did not want the card looking bare when the ornament is taken off........

........so this is what the card looks like without the ornament. I didnt want the person have to either have a blank card sitting on show or have to wait til the following christmas to hang the ornament on the tree.
So I placed an image which I cut from the main sheet under the ornament......so they still have a card to look at all christmas & an ornament to hang from the tree which they could keep year after year.

Here is the ornament & the tree, the ornament comes on & off the card so simply just by holding the cord at the top you can easily slide it on & off.

If you are interested in a tutorial on how to make this kind of card drop a message on this post or email me or Tracy & I will happily do one. My next one Im thinking of turning it into a shaker that comes off for the tree.

Thanks for stopping by it really means a lot to us girls here at Noor Design UK.

Lotsa hugs Vicky xxx

Season's Greeting's

Hello everyone how are you all doing? I have a poorly daughter at the minute, think she's picked a sickness bug up. My grand-daughter has also had it & has been poorly this week also. Its this cold weather blowing all the germs around.

Anyway I'm here today with the 2nd card I made from the First Editions Silent Night 8x8 pad.
Now if I get inspiration or an idea from somewhere I always give credit, its the right thing to do & this inspiration came from a very talented lady.....will tell you at the end or you wont come back once you see her creations....you may even know who I mean ;-)
Again I've distressed the edges & machine stitched them. The top layer I popped onto foam pads then attached onto the bottom layer.

The poinsettia is made up with papers from the same pad & made using the Creative Expressions Classic Poinsettia die, I added Marianne Holly die-cuts & some pomegranate apples from Noor Design UK. The bling in the centre is from my stash.

Under the top layer I added Scrapiniec 'Doily Lace Border' set, I inked the edges with Pumice Stone distress ink. In between I added blue gems from my stash.
Senitment is LOTV.

The bauble is made from 2 Scrapiniec sets,  the top layer from Scrapiniec Tinsel Christmas set which I sprayed with white paint. The bottom layer is from the Scrapiniec Baubles Full set which I left plain & just inked the edges with Pumice Stone. Then added 2 blue gems from my stash & tied some cord through the eyelet into a bow.

Inside is decorated to compliment the front as always. Amongst the poinsettia I also added pearl string & a seam binding bow both you can get from Noor Design UK.

Ok I will tell you the lady that gave me inspiration for this, although I will say its no where near as beautiful as what she does........maybe one day though lol. Click here to go to her blog.
It was nice to try something different I've been trying a few different things lately, including something I designed & thought of.....stay tuned lol.

Thanks for stopping by
Lotsa hugs Vicky xxx

May You Never Be Too Old............

Hello everyone, how are you all?
Hope you all had a super duper weekend. Did you do anything for bonfire weekend. We dont bother now as ours are grown up & this year we had a 6 month old puppy who was her first bonfire/fireworks & she hated it.......she was shaking like crazy the whole time, poor thing :-(

Anyhoo's I'm here with a card I made last week when I got my Maja Design Home For The Holidays pad out.......enjoyed the pad that much made a couple of cards with it lol.
All words in red are links to actual items in a store.
I love this colour combo.......I love Kraft against the blue..........I love hessian....ok I could go on & on here couldn't I lol.

I made a poinsettia using Creative Expressions Classic Poinsettia die, I used the 2 smaller dies & cut out the in Silver Marianne Design Glitter paper........now although this says paper its quite thick......fabulous quality!! I also did one layer of blue to break up the silver a bit.
Underneath is the Snow Flurry Magnolia die.....you can see bits just peeking out & the leafy ferny thingy is a Marianne die ;-)

I cut this wording from one of the sheets in the pad using one of the smaller dies that come with the Little Darlings Fancy Rectangles die & attached it to a straw.
It reads 'May You Never Be Too Old To Love The Snow'......I LOVE this wording & we all still love the snow, though living next to the sea means we barely get any :-(

I used LLLC Tags die & placed one inside the other to create a smaller tag opening.
The Snowmen image is also from one of the sheets & I cut it out & placed between 2 tags, so the image was showing through the smaller tag.
I also cut another larger tag out in kraft & heat embossed in white a Magnolia stamp I've had forever, its a Silent Night carol.
Added a snowman charm & a couple of stars from the Christmas Cottage die set & covered them in sparkly glitter.
Inside is decorated to compiment the front with the same paper layout & dies. Except I added a Mitten from a Memory Box die ;-)

The hessian & Pom Pom trim are from my stash & the gorgeous bit of bling you can get at Noor Design UK here.

I also added a Scrapiniec Bell & placed a few gems on here & there. Postage Stamp image is from the Maja Design pad. I also added a couple of wooden snowflake buttons which really are fabulous & added a gem to the centre of each one.

Ok thats it for me I have hubby at the drs this morning for blood tests, while I get Natalie off to daycare. Then I'm off to my daughter in law's to take her a stripper.......now come on who has the dirty mind lol, its a wallpaper stripper.....lol.
I did all my cleaning yesterday before the family came as on saturday whilst we were all at my eldest son's a package came full of crafty goodness & I missed it.........so I will also pick that up whilst I'm out & have a crafty day.
Then tonight me & hubby are watching the new Xmen as that is released today on DVD & I pre-ordered it yayyyyyyyy.....think it will be the easiest day I've ever had.......if all goes to plan that is lol.

Ok I've babbled now, so will hush these buttons & say tatty bye lovelies, thanks for stopping by.

Lotsa hugs Vicky xxx

Hello everyone how are you all? I'm here today with my DT card for Noor Design uk blog.

Today I have a Christmas card for you, yes another one. In all honesty I made this one before the one I showed you last week lol.....as soon as I got the new Magnolia collection I coloured up 2 straight away.....they were London Tilda & Cocoa Tilda.....my favourites!!
Here is Cocoa Tilda looking warm & cosy ;-)
I have also used the fabulous Christmas Cottage die set.....I soooooooo love this cottage. Of course the tree dies come with it which I have covered with glitter.....they really do look so sparkly in real life!!

I have also added the oh so gorgeous Magnolia Snow Flurry Background from the latest Magnolia Stamp & Cutz collection.....this is a fabulous snowflake & I think it will be used lots ;-)

Added some gorgeous lace from Tracy's store as she has such a pretty collection. Also added mini kraft bag to add 2 tags. I have added silver bells to one & a charm to the other tag, all tied in brown vax cord. The Winter text die is an older Joy Crafts die but still one of my faves!!

So as I said this is Cocoa Tilda with Snowflurries from the latest Stamp & Cutz collection, although I didnt add her snowflurries. I also used the Fence die from the Cosy Fox & Fence set, I love this little fence. I cut it out twice & popped onto foam pads to sit in front of the cottage.
Tilda was of course coloured in distress ink refills & markers....I will try remember the colours...
Vintage Photo, Tattered Rose - Skin
Fired Brick, Spun Sugar - Cheeks
Antique Linen, Walnut Stain - Hair
Pumice Stone, Fired Brick - Jumper, Ear Muffs, Skates & Cup
Stormy Sky - Jeans (I think)

The papers I've used are the new Maja Design 'I Wish'collection........oh my oh my I love & I mean LOVE this collection.....ok I know I say it about every collection but seriously this collection is da bomb lol.
The reindeer is from Creative Expressions 'Deer Family' which I asked Tracy to order for me. Tracy really is awesome for sourcing & getting products for you, so dont hesitate is asking her if she can get something.......she really does do her best & I'm sure you will agree is awesome at it ;-)
I kept flowers to just one gorgeous one, added berries & a scrapiniec snowflake, the leaves are a Magnolia mistletoe die from my stash.

Well thats it from me but why not pop on over to see the fabulous goodies Tracy has been adding & if you havent seen the latest Magnolia collection & the latest Maja Design collection.......then its ok as we hear a few may have been abducted by aliens lately ;-) As you were abducted why not pop on over to here & here to look at them............as well as ALL the other uber gorgeous goodies Tracy stocks :-)
