Live & Love Crafts Challenge DT Card

Hello again, 2 posts in one day........... If you want to see this morning's card click here or scroll down.
Ok so this time I'm here with another DT card & this time its for Live & Love Crafts. Yep it's that time of month again, these month's are going fast.... Anyway the challenge there this month is perfect for this time of year............
SIGNS OF SPRING
...........I have flowers popping up in all of my borders out in the front garden. I planted them last year when we planted all the conifers, so it's nice to see them popping up.
I decide use the gorgeous Pion papers from last year 'A Day In May'...........perfect for spring cards. I used 'White Blossom 12x12' & 'Birdsong 12x12'. I cut them out using XXL spellbinders die & machine stitched all around the edge.
Added doilies inside & out. The corner die is from Noor Design UK.

The sentiment is also from Noor Design Uk called 'There are no little dreams', isn't it a gorgeous sentiment. I stamped it in Cocoa Memento onto a Tag from Pion's 'A Day In May - Tags 12x12'. I've inked the edges with Pumice Stone & distressed them a little. The little sentiment tag is from LOTV. The paper clip is Tim Holtz.
The image I cut from 'Lady 12x12' of the same paper collection. I cut her out using a smaller spellbinder die & stitched around  the outisde. I thought she was too pretty to be hidden so kept this bit of paper to use as centrepiece for a card lol.

Most of the flowers are from Live & Love Crafts, the top lace is & the bark star. The bottom lace is form my stash. I also made a banner going through the centre with a scrap of the paper, that was also stitched all around.

For all of your vintage & shabby chic needs........well then you have to pop over to Live & Love Crafts...........that will definately fullfill your needs & more ;-)

Well that's it from me. Sorry this post was late my hubster has been hospital today for a procedure.
Thank you for stopping by & the lovely comments you leave.
Take care lovelies, lotsa hugs Vicky xxxx

Live and Love Crafts DT Project - Best Of Luck

Hello everyone, I'm here today with a bit of Irish for my Live & Love Crafts DT....... As some of you know Sandra set us DT girls the theme of St Patrick's Day/Luck Of The Irish............well I do like to be challenged its part of crafting.
Now my favourite accent is Irish........OMG I LOVE IT!!!! Seriously......I so wish hubster could speak Irish ooooh swoon ;-) One day I would love to go to Southern Ireland, my dad went over there to help close down one of the pits (mines) there in Tipperary & he said it was the most wonderful place & the people there were the friendliest.
So here is my take on the Irish them this week............
I obviously had to go green as that is the Irish colour & Green for St Patrick's Day. As that day had passed I added a banner saying 'Best Of Luck' which came with the digi image I've used.
Of course I've still gone shabby chic with it all............well come on we have to do that lol.

Now of course luck means a Clover............so I had to include a clover & as I didnt have one, well I made one with the clay hearts. If you look at a Clover or a Shamrock the leaves are like an upside down heart........now a Shamrock is a 3 Leaf Clover but the Clover that is thought to bring lots of luck is indeed the 4 Leaf Clover :-)

The one thing I had to include was indeed the Miners Lamp (ok so it's a lantern but ssshhhh).......... I have one of these sitting in my living room, with engraving on for my dad which he left for my hubster when he passed away.
Luck of the Irish originated with the Miners, as the miners were thought to be the wealthiest. Although the American Irish term of 'Luck' is happier, positive thinking............which will lead onto the picture below

..........now this verse I got free off Pinterest from someone who made it free for people to print off. It basically reads this..........
May your trouble's be less
and your blessing's be more
and nothing but happiness
come through your door..........
Of course I had to add a gorgeous image next to the verse & what better image did I find but this gorgeous lady from La La Land Crafts & she is called 'Irish Marci' & I coloured her with distress inks & markers. Her lips went a bit funny & I ran out of time to colour another image in :-(
I added lots of flowers & as the verse had 'Come through your door' I thought I would include the Melissa Francis resin 'Birdhouse' which says 'Home' on it......
The dies used for leaves are from Noor Design UK & are......

Of course I added 2 very gorgeous laces, a doily, pearls & pearl string & dashings of Gesso here & there just to add to the shabby chic-ness of it lol.

Well that's it from me, hope I passed with my take on the Irish Theme this week, tbh I quite enjoyed it........ya gotta love a challenge ;-)

Enjoy your weekend lovelies & if you want to enjoy it better, well you know what you gotta do dont you............go shopping at LIVE & LOVE CRAFTS...........best shop for all your vintage & shabby chic craftiness ;-)

Lotsa hugs Vicky xxx

For You

Hello everyone how are you all?
The card I have today I actually made quite a few weeks ago & completely forgot to blog it....oops!!
Ive not even used a coloured image..........just some yummy papers & an image from the same collection.......ok I'm just gonna show ya ;0)
The totally gorgeous papers are Pion & are from the beautiful 'A Day In May' collection. This one is 'Tags 6x6'. I inked the edges with Pumice Stone & machine sewn all layers.

All the flowers are WOC, the cream ones were from LLC. I sprayed all the flowers with white florist spray to soften them & add a little bit of white. If you click on the picture you can see it. The spray is fab if you want to tone down colours or create like a dusting look on them.

This is the inside, sorry about the pic I have no idea how this ended up higgledy piggledy. No I wasnt drunk, I'm stupid enough sober never mind drunk ;0)
The lace is 'Madeleine' & I machine sewed it to the paper.

Both of the laces are from LLC & so is the 'Metal Corner' which was has been painted with Gesso. The bottom lace is 'Madeleine' & the top lace which has now ran out :0( is............I dont know because I cant find it.........excuse me a minute while I go cry......... :0(

The image is again Pion from the 'A Day In May' collection, this one is 'Images 12x12' & I distressed & inked the edges then machine sewn around it. The butterflies I cut from 'Borders 12x12' again from the same collection. I cut them out inked the edges & applied Crackle Accents.

The 'Doilies' are from LLC. The swirl is of course Magnolia's 'Swirl & Leaf' die

Ok I think thats it as always the wording in 'RED' are direct links to take you to products used.

Thank you for stopping by it really means a lot, stay tuned in for my extra special candy coming in the next day or two.
Til then tatty bye, take care lovelies mmwah.
