So we have a brand new challenge over at Midweek Magnolia's this week........wait who said I was late then..........no no no the clocks are darn fast!!!!
Anyhoo's like I was saying before the interuption ;0) The challenge theme is..............
WISH YOU WERE HERE
..........which basically means 'Seaside/Beach' theme cards. Now I lurve the sea, good job really as I live about 3 minutes away from it...........its my favourite place to be, well the whole family really!!
Anyhoo's I've been doing a wee bit of masking, I havn't done any for a while.....I think I'm getting lazy..
I've made Edwin & Tilda look tanned..........well they are on their holly jollies ;0) Where they are is just sun, sea & sand...........oops & the odd crab ;0)
The paper is Magnolia 'Ice Cream Plaid' from the Sweet Rainbow collection, I've had this forever but finally used it. I've inked the edges with Walnut DI as always & distressed them slightly with skissors lol.
The stamps I've used are 'Water Lily' Tilda & 'Miami Edwin' both from the Summer Memories collection 2012. The third stamp is Molly Blooms 'Claude The Crab' & I have coloured it all with copics, sky with chalk.
Colours used are....................
Skin on Both - E13, E11, E21, E00, E000, R32, R20
Tilda hair - E29, E27, E23, E21 Edwin Hair - E59, E57, E55, E31, E51
Tilda's Clothes - C5, C3, C1, C00 - R39, R37, W5, W3
Edwin's Clothes - B97, B95, B93, B91 - W5, W3, W2, W0 - B95, B93, B91, C5, C3, C1, C00
Bucket & Spade - R59, R29, R17
Crab - R27, R14, R22, W3
Now for the sand & the sea I really did just grab pens & forgot to write down the numbers, but the sand was obviously the E's & the sea was a mixture of B's & BG's lol. Oh & I also used a white gel pen ;0)
The shells I pinched from my bathroom lol, & the rope came from my stash. I also added 'Cheese Cloth' & 'Jute Fabric', the Jute I didnt want it straight because of the scene I was trying to create.
I cut 2 coulds out using a Magnolia Doo-Hickey die, inked the edges with Tumbled Glass DI. The sentiment & the Anchor are from a couple of wood block stamps in my stash. The anchor I also coated in UTEE. Do you notice anything about this card? I will tell you.....there are no.........I tell ya NO flowers!!! OMG I think I'm having a breakdown............ lol just kidding. However they will be back tomorrow though for sure lol.
