Ok so now here is my card.

I have used Dutch Doobadoo 'Shape Art Circle' for the shape of my card.

Here is a flat view to show you a better view of the LDRS Basic Builder's Die Set, not only does it cut but it embosses too. This really is an awesome set that will be fantastic for all sorts of crafts & cards, whether you like fancy or CAS, this set will be invaluable.

I have cut every piece out & cut everything twice, 1 in white card & another in kraft card & layered them up........ I love this set & have a feeling it will be used a lot!!!

The image is a new stamps from LDRS Saturated Canary called 'Sweatshirt Saturday' & I fussy cut her out & popped 3d foam pads to her & placed her onto LDRS 'Lovely View' die which was also cut out twice in the same cardstock & layered up slightly off centre to each other.

I coloured her up with distress amrkers & distress ink refills which you can also get from Noor Design UK.

Sorry about the bad photo, my camera batteries went flat but I will take another photo later today once the batteries are charged up.

I made an easel card & used more of the dies on the bottom. The mini doily is from my stash as is the butterfly.

The sentiment is from Joy Crafts 'There Are No Little Dreams' Clear stamp set. I also placed 'CheeseCloth' under the image. The leaves either side the image were cut out using Joy Crafts 'Vintage Flourishes Leaf die (1)' & again I cut it out with white card & kraft card. I took the centre from each leaf & placed it into the opposite colour leaf.....i.e. the white centre went into the kraft leaf & the kraft centre went into the white leaf, I think it helps make it stand out a wee bit more.

The large flower in the centre each side is Joy Crafts White & Cream Flowers 20pcs.

Noor Design UK DT Card

Hello again lovelies, how are you all?

Ok so after a long break from things I'm back with my first DT card for Noor Design UK.

Ok so hubster was so excited when I started crafting again that he sent me on a shopping trip to get me some new crafty goodies & of course the first things I got was some of the new Magnolia stamps.........my first crafty buys for MONTHS!!!

I'm rusty & extremely nervous & its been a long time since I coloured with distress inks but I will slowly get back into the swing of things lol.

Ok now all the links to products used will be at the bottom of the post. The frilly lace is from my stash & this stuff I've had forvever & never used it..... Also the mini doily is from my stash & the cardstock.

Love this sentiment stamp set & of course you know I love butterflies. The corners are from another die set, the 12 point corners set but I just used the corners. The butterflies I used both dies in the pack & I cut them twice & layered them up. First layer I cut from card & second layer I cut form the paper I used on the card. Both layers got inked with walnut distress ink & bent into shape a wee bit & a pearl added to the body.

I lurve the leaf dies from Noor Design & always wanting more........a girl can never have too many ;-) I have used 2 different ones on here, a new one that hubster brought me last week & an older one I already had. Flowers are from my stash except the 2 either side the white centre one, they are from Noor Design UK.

The pad is Romance Paper Pad by Joy Craft & is full of purples & lilacs, as you can see you dont just need use it on romance cards. I inked the edges again with walnut distress ink.

Ok so the Tilda stamp is from the latest Spring Fever collection & this one is 'Resting Tilda' & I stamped her onto Langton paper. Now I've had Langton pads for about 2 years but could never master the distress inks on them....I was totally poop. However yesterday at 2am I was in bed not being able to sleep due to bad pain. So I got up & then decided to try colour this stamp in on the Langton. Yayyyy I mastered it........yes there is lots of room for improvemnt but its sooooo much better than I ever managed before lol.

Then yesterday afternoon I suddenly decided she needed a fence to sit in front of........so thats also been stamped onto Langton & coloured with distress inks, markers & ink pads. The fence is also a Magnolia stamp but cant remember from what collection......

The fence I have coloured to try make it look like an old fence, old wood with teeny bits of green in it off the grass, each panel slightly different..........I was actually quite pleased with it.....

Well there you have my first DT card, I'm still rusty & feel like it takes me a lot longer at the min as I'm still getting back into it. Also I dont have a craft room as such at the mo & my stuff is here, there & everywhere but I will be sorted soon........hopefully lol.

Well that's it from me I have a full day of cleaning & washing to do today...... I'm loving cleaning now since I took my break lol.......I even look for excuses to clean, which does not please hubster lol.

Hello all you lovely crafty peeps out there. Well I meant to come back before Christmas & wish you a Merry Crimbo, then I meant to come back in January & wish you all a Happy New Year...........yeah both of them failed but I'm here now soooooooooo

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year everyone ;-) lol.

Yep still Thicky Vicky lol. However I am back now, permanently. Things have gone on this year & wasn't quite the start we wanted but you have to roll with the punches in life, pick yourself up, dust yourself off, lift your head, smile & carry on. So here I am smiling because even though things havnt gone as planned, I have my family & that is worth its weight in gold.

Ok so remember that post when I said I was gonna craft but stick to CAS blah blah blah......yeah well that kinda blew out the window You see I've always made foofy cards etc, right from the start so to start making CAS all the time.............well it bored me & whilst I love CAS cards I could not make them all the time..........there would be no challenge for me, no going outside my comfort zone (though crafting CAS 24/7 would deffo be outside my comfort zone lol). So in the last 3 months I've made 1 card..........yep 1 CAS card which probably took me nearly as long as it does doing a foofy card. I made this card that I'm gonna show you in January & I was bored at the fact of doing more like this..........much more :-( Also as the exciting thing that was gonna happen we've now had to put on hold :-( plans have changed.

So as of tomorrow I am back to making creations, CAS, foofy (most the time foofy lol) & lots of other things that will be completely new to me............including some sewing & I dont mean on cards lol. So watch this space as they say.

The words are because she wanted me to spell different words for her lol, Gaga is what she has always called her grandad, Arjay says the same bless him.

Ok so while the card is not bad & while I admire people who make CAS cards, its not me & I would end up quitting crafting altogether, which I nearly did.

I will show you my christmas makes another time as I've babbled enough now lol. I am back tomorrow with my usual type of card & its my first DT card back..........yep I'm back with the lovely Tracy & her uber talented design team over at Noor Design UK. Excited but boy am I nervous.........so I will see you tomorrow my lovelies.

Helloooooo......

Hello everyone, remember me lol. Yes I know I've been missing in action for quite some time & I will explain why.

Well I decided to take a whole break from crafting & the internet in general to be honest, I wanted to spend more time with my family.........time I desperately wanted as well. We also brought a camper to get away in at weekends...........we just brought a cheap one as we didnt know what Natalie would be like........she loved it, absolutely loved it. We have an awning with & we brought a bedroom extension so it meant we could all go away, the whole family together. There was me, Craig (hubster), my eldest son with his fiance Megan & my 2 gorgeous grandchildren, my daughter Natalie & my youngest son Jake. We went away quite a few times & we had brill times so much so we are doing it a lot more this year. 

We are also going through something important as a family at the moment, I cant tell you what yet but it's not bad.......if it goes through & goes well it will be exciting.......... it will also be life-changing as well. Only the close family know as I dont want to jinx anything but I will tell you when it all goes through & we are successful.

Ok so the other reason you havnt seen me on here is because I was going to give up crafting..........everything!! However a few weeks ago after much, MUCH nagging off Craig I decided to take it back up but its gonna be a different kind of crafting.....

Gone are my foofy style cards & instead I will be doing more CAS style & concentrating more on the colouring of my image. The images will also be done more in copics now & not distress inks......though I will use the inks sometimes lol.

I am moving out of my craft room, yes again but I'm giving it up for a very good reason which I will tell you about another time. We now have a spare room in the bungalow which I was gonna move into but......well that will become something else.

So I'm streamlining everything down & moving into a bureau......yep that black bureau that was once in my large craft room when I was in the conservatory.........yep that!!! I know scary to think I'm fitting everything into that..............so I will after christmas put a 'For Sale' page on my blog as LOTS of stuff will be getting sold. 

I will still make 3D projects & I still want to make things other than cards.....I have a lot of plans lol.

Well a week ago I finally did my first colouring with copics, I've tried a few times over the months but I've normally done the face & then thought....no I dont want to do this.

However a week ago I decided I needed a kick up the bum & it was time to either use those copics or give up completely. So off I went to Crafts & Me & brought an image...........no it's not Hannah Lynn (though that's what I went for lol).

No it was this one...........please excuse the quality it was just taken with my phone camera & not my usual camera...........here is my first colouring with copics in over 6 months.

This is 'The Great Bow' by Jeremiah Ketner & as soon as I saw it I fell in love with it. Another one also fell in my basket...ooops.

My granddaughter says I need to add sparkly glitter to her as because she's pretty lol. She is not on a card yet but I have actually made my first card the other night ready for Natalie's class at daycare. Will show you them once they are all done.

I'm feeling quite rusty at the whole colouring & crafting at the moment but I thoroughly enjoyed colouring this little lady, she does look better IRL.

When she is on a card I will take proper piccies lol.

Ok so if you made it to the end of my long post.............by now you are probably thinking........OMG you can tell Vixster is back.....blah blah blah. I know I know, its the fingers they just run away with themselves when on the lappy lol.

I want to thank you though for not leaving me & sticking with me you are all awesome. I promise my next post will be a lot smaller lol.

Well I'm off to craft.........wow I havnt said that for soooooo long. Well after I've fed my washer ;-)

The More You Read & CANDY!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello everyone I'm here with my DT Project for the Noor Design UK blog using the uber fabulous Shape Art Book by Dutch Doobadoo.

First though we have just reached over 40,000 visitors on the Noor Design UK blog, so why not pop on over there & check out the candy you can win. It will run for a week.

Ok I have to say I love, no I mean I LURVE this Book Art template, its fabulous & something that will be used a lot.........

I have used black card as my base as I thought it added a bit more pop especially against the gorgeous colours that are in this Botanical Paper pad I've used.

I've inked & distressed all the edges & on one side I curled the tops over, just to make it look oldish & well read ;-) This is I'm keeping for myself so I did a test, I used 2 different methods to add a bend to the page & a gap between each page. This side I used 3D glue & the other side I used large Foam Pads & I have to say the foam pads are so much easier but use larger ones, that's only my opinion of course.

The 3D glue was good but you have to hold it in place until it sets..........ok if you are a telly watcher whilst crafting but I'm impatient & not a tv watcher lol.

Ok so my quote is a Dr Seuss quote & this one came with a Sylvia Zet image a long long time ago but I love this quote & thought it perfect. I used the Cutting & Embossing Parchment die to layer the quote on which I also inked & curled the corners.

I've used my favourite Swirld die under the flowers & one of the many gorgeous leaf dies.......eventually I would love them all........its hard to choose a favourite. I added flowers from my stash & calmed the colours down a bit with gesso.

I added seam binding & a fine pearl string to the centre, also made a bow with the seam binding to tie it all in.

I just added an image to this side, its a digi image so was able to make her larger & then fussy cut her out.

The image I found a long time ago & its from Jess College Fund but cannnot find the link ot it, sorry.

I've coloured her with copics......colours used are......

E11, E21, E00, E000, RV21 - Skin

B95, B91, B00 - Eyes & R39, R37, R35 - Lips

E59, E55, E53, E50 - Hair

YR27, YR24, YR21, YR00, - Top & YG97 Trim on sleeve.
