Hello everyone how are you all? Well I'm running extremely late with my DT card this week :0( Had a few poorly days so didnt get into my craft room. The papers were sorted, sort of lol & my image was all coloured...........but thats as far as it got!!
However better late than never & I'm not here with the new challenge for Craft Little Fairies & this week its the blue fairies & we want to see.................
SPORT
...........no dont go running away screaming, its good trust me ;0) I was originally gonna do a male card, however I saw this in my image bow waiting to be coloured up & thought she would be perfect. Yes it doesn't have to be a male card just because its sport.
Look I've even kept it simple-ish..............hey its simple for me lol. I followed a sketch which I hadnt seen as I had not been in blogland. However my lovely teamie Elizabeth made a super gorgeous card & when I saw she followed a sketch............well I quickly drew it then went to my craft room.

The lace & dark brown card used for matting are from my stash.

The flower I made with MB 'Fabulous Phlox' die & added a brown pearl to the centre.

The fabbylicious image is of course a Saturated Canary digi 'Jamie Workout' & I coloured her with Copics.
Colours used are........
E11, E21, E00, E000, R32 - Skin
E59, E55, E53, E51 - Hair
W7, W5, W3, W1 - Dumbell
N3, N1, NO - Background
I paper pieced her clothes with the same papers I've used for the card, I did her bands on the bra top & trousers with the striped paper.

The uber gorgeous papers are MME Lost & Found 'Madison Avenue' which I have also machine stitched. The sentiment reads 'Girls can do anything we put our minds to because we put our hearts in it' & its from Little Darlings 'Girls Rock'. You dont want to know how long I've had this stamp set for but I only finally cut into it today :0(

Well thats it from me but please go over & see my teamies uber fabulous creations, they have done wonders..........they like their sports ;0)

Thank you soooooooo much for stopping by it means a lot.

Saturated Canary DT Inspiration Post

Well howdy doody my lovelies how are you all?
I'm here today with an inspiration post for the Saturated Canary Challenge Blog. The challenges have now stopped over there but instead there will be daily inspiration using Krista's fab images from the DT & inspiration from other various crafters that may turn our eye. However there will be fabulous give aways on the Saturated Canary Facebook page.

My image today is the very reason why I love digi images.............of course I lurve getting inky with rubber too. However I love the versatility of digi images, resizing, cropping ect ect..........
This image I coloured up months ago & this is the card I made last week that I didnt know if I liked it or not.............
This image I have mirrored so she faces the other way & also cropped as this image I thought would pass as an easter image.

The lace is from my stash. The flowers are from LLC.

The die is a Joy Crafts die which I cut in half.

The gorgeous image is 'Lily, Bo & Peep' I have cropped the image so Bo & Peep are not on here, they are being looked after though ;0)
I love digi images cus even when an image is more inclined for a certain occasion by cropping it it makes it suitable for any occasion like this one.
I have coloured her with copics but as it was months ago when I coloured it, I dont have the colour list I'm afraid :0(

The gorgeous papers are Vintage Autumn Basics 6x6 pad, I've inked the edges with walnut & machine stitched them. The 'Metal Corner' I covered with white fran-tage. The rolled flowers I made with a MB Die with the same papers & the leaves are Joy Crafts die.

Pop on over to the challenge blog for some daily inspiration from my talented teamies.

Thank you soooooo much for stopping by I am getting around to you all slowly. I'm taking my grandson & Megan to the RVI today but I will catch up with you later.

Take care lovelies, toodles.

My Photo Booth

Hi everyone how are you all?
Well things are changing some what at the Pass household with some building work soon. At the moment our bungalow is quite big, especially for a bungalow, we have 2 bathrooms, 1 is classed as a wet room & has a walk in shower, sink & toilet. The bathroom is at the bottom of the bungalow but can also be reached from Natalie's bedroom as well as the passage way, that consists of toilet, sink, bath & shower above bath. The problem is that only 1 person at any given time can bathe Natalie using the shower & a large bath aid that goes over the bath........we dont have the equipment for her to actually have a bath & she is way too heavy to lift out ourselves. Anyway Natalie does require at all times at least 2 adults caring for her & when bathing her 1 either side of the bath. Unfortunately 1 side of our bath is against a wall & as the bathroom is a good size its not big enough to turn the bath around & allow a wheelchair all around both sides. If ever we fall ill a carer will refuse to care for Natalie because there is no room for 2 people. So they are going to build Natalie her own bathroom, an extension on her bedroom, she will have complete privacy as it will just be hers. We have told them leave the toilet out as she is in nappies & that way we can add a lot of storage..........believe me she needs it just for her medical stuff.
Luckily we have a large/ish garden but the problem is one of the sheds we have at the side needs to be removed as it will block light from Natalie's new windows. The extension will lead off her large window, so her window has to be re-sited. So I am giving up my hobbit as a craft room so hubster can use it as a shed & instead hubster is converting the conservatory into a craft room. It's the only option we have, it has disadvantages & advantages, the biggest advantage is I wont be at the bottom of the garden & will still be with my family as the living room is right next to it. The other advantage is its bigger although with windows all around I dont have upper wall space.

Anyway I will stop rambling on & show you my photo booth that my hubster made me. Now I have had loads of emails asking about where I take my photo's of the cards ect & if I take them daytime or night-time. So I thought I would show you while I remember & before I move out of my hobbit (although wont be a bit yet as hubsters hand has to heal)
Excuse the shelf underneath its got old photo's of my kids on (Ben is just 15 here, he's just turned 23 lol) & some sentiment stamps that have still got be opened & stored properly.
Anyway as some of you remember we brought old tatty kitchen units for my craft room, I painted them all up & added new handles as they were not nice at all.

The little cupboard was the one above the cooker & I think it had an extractor fan below it. As I've got enough storage in my craft room I could afford to lose this cupboard...............

.............. & use this as my photo booth. It was hubsters suggestion & he covered the entire inside of the cupboard with Matt Self Adhesive Vinyl, it might work the same with gloss not sure. We brought 2 light strips with bright daylight bulbs in them & attached 2 inside the cupboard, 1 either side. We placed them diagonally to distribute the light all over (this was my idea lol)

This picture was took without the flash on on my camera so you could see how dark the cupboard truly is.
P.S. Excuse the little candle, I placed small vanilla candles in all the cupboards to keep them smelling nice lol.

This photo is with no flash & with the lights on, I placed a can in there to show you the brightness.
For those that ask what I spray my flowers with when I want to soften the colour, this is what I use.

This is a wooden sign my hubster brought me, he saw it in a shop when he was out one day & thought of me & got it for my craft room, fab isn't it & so true, I love it!!

Basically you could make anything as a photo booth as long as you use daylight bulbs as they are the best true light there is. If you dont have the room to keep to do this then I highly recommend the light tents, they are mega cheap, come with different colour backgrounds & most importantly fold into a small square. Before this cupboard thats what I used, again though make sure you have the right lights & use daylight bulbs...........your lights will make or break it. Also if your camera has Macro on it.........use it, its meant for close ups & instead of taking your camera towards the object, zoom in, you get a much better picture by zooming instead of taking your camera closer.........its why we have that feature ;0)

Well I hope thats answered some of your questions. It doesnt really matter where you take your photo's but good lighting & the right settings on your camera DO matter, they make all the difference.

Will be back tomorrow with a DT card.
Tatty bye lovelies will be round soon to see you all mmwah

Saturated Canary DT Post and Hubster update

Hello everyone I'm running a tad late this morning. I have for you today an inspiration post for Saturated Canary. Things are changing over on Saturated Canary Challenge blog this year so pop on over to find out all the details. Also there are some images Krista is retiring on the 25th January, pop on over to check that out as well & get your code to get 50% off.

Ok so onto my inspiration post. I did actually make 2 with images I've had coloured up for ages, one with copics & the other with distress markers. However I dont know if I like one of them so I quickly made another to replace it. I will show the other one over the weekend though.
I have gone for a romantic type of card as Valentine's is drawing closer ;0) The papers are the gorgeous Prima 'Romance Novel' which were from MCH. Pop on over to check out the closing down sale, lots of awesome bargains to be got.

Up the side I added 'Tulle Pleat Trim' & 'Shabby Seam Binding', love this tulle ;0)

The envelope I made with a cut out from the Prima papers & also the tag. I cut out a stamp & attached it to the front of the envelope. The tag inside I attached some seam binding & a 'Key' charm which I dipped in shabby white fran-tage.

The flowers are Prima 'Lyric' . The clock die-cut is Marianne Design which was inked lightly with Antique Linen distress ink.

I added a gorgeous Prima 'Zipper Pull' that says Beauty on it, quite apt for this card. The tags at the bottom I cut from the Prima papers & stapled them together & cut out letters to add on.

The gorgeous image is probably my favourite SC rubber stamps, she is called 'Breeze' & I coloured her with my distress markers. I also added some shabby pink fran-tage as well.

I made a bow with the seam binding & added a Scalloped Pearl from WOC, the small heart shaped pearls are also from there. I also added 2 'Bark Hearts' in the top corner. Inside is decorated to compliment the front as always.

Pop on over to the Challenge Blog to see my teamies gorgeous creations.

I have had a couple of emails asking how hubsters op went. Well after the op I will give you the surgeons first words to him after recovery. 'Well that was erm interesting......' Apparently his little finger was still broken but couldnt understand why it didnt show up on xrays. Really he needed a bigger op & have plates & pins but because they were not expecting that, they did not have the materials needed in theatre. So they have grinded the lump down & use that mixed with glue to try fix his finger. He has about a 50-50 chance of it healing but the surgeon is not hopeful. He goes for an xray in 4-6 weeks to see if its healed, if not then he will have the bigger op. So he is in plaster once again bless him, we are hoping this works as the bigger op means it will take a few months to heal properly. I'm obviously dealing with Natalie on my own, we have hoists so that helps, its just dressing, bathing & changing her nappy which requires a bit of muscle lol. She is small in height but weighs about 9 & half stone, just a few pounds lighter than me...........yep unfortunately I have put weight on this last year :0( However we are managing not a prob & our home is still a mad house as usual lol. I will be able to bench press our van at the end of it lol........

Well thats it from me we have our grand-daughter staying tonight & at the minute she is addicted to one of Natalie's dvd's.........Over The Hedge, I think its cus the main character has the same name as her baby brother, only spelt different lol, his name is RJ.
So I am some what behind in commenting but I will try my best to get round to the rest of you today.

Thank you so much for stopping by & your lovely comments mmwah
YOU ROCK!!!!!
