Saturated Canary DT Post and Hubster update

Hello everyone I'm running a tad late this morning. I have for you today an inspiration post for Saturated Canary. Things are changing over on Saturated Canary Challenge blog this year so pop on over to find out all the details. Also there are some images Krista is retiring on the 25th January, pop on over to check that out as well & get your code to get 50% off.

Ok so onto my inspiration post. I did actually make 2 with images I've had coloured up for ages, one with copics & the other with distress markers. However I dont know if I like one of them so I quickly made another to replace it. I will show the other one over the weekend though.
I have gone for a romantic type of card as Valentine's is drawing closer ;0) The papers are the gorgeous Prima 'Romance Novel' which were from MCH. Pop on over to check out the closing down sale, lots of awesome bargains to be got.

Up the side I added 'Tulle Pleat Trim' & 'Shabby Seam Binding', love this tulle ;0)

The envelope I made with a cut out from the Prima papers & also the tag. I cut out a stamp & attached it to the front of the envelope. The tag inside I attached some seam binding & a 'Key' charm which I dipped in shabby white fran-tage.

The flowers are Prima 'Lyric' . The clock die-cut is Marianne Design which was inked lightly with Antique Linen distress ink.

I added a gorgeous Prima 'Zipper Pull' that says Beauty on it, quite apt for this card. The tags at the bottom I cut from the Prima papers & stapled them together & cut out letters to add on.

The gorgeous image is probably my favourite SC rubber stamps, she is called 'Breeze' & I coloured her with my distress markers. I also added some shabby pink fran-tage as well.

I made a bow with the seam binding & added a Scalloped Pearl from WOC, the small heart shaped pearls are also from there. I also added 2 'Bark Hearts' in the top corner. Inside is decorated to compliment the front as always.

Pop on over to the Challenge Blog to see my teamies gorgeous creations.

I have had a couple of emails asking how hubsters op went. Well after the op I will give you the surgeons first words to him after recovery. 'Well that was erm interesting......' Apparently his little finger was still broken but couldnt understand why it didnt show up on xrays. Really he needed a bigger op & have plates & pins but because they were not expecting that, they did not have the materials needed in theatre. So they have grinded the lump down & use that mixed with glue to try fix his finger. He has about a 50-50 chance of it healing but the surgeon is not hopeful. He goes for an xray in 4-6 weeks to see if its healed, if not then he will have the bigger op. So he is in plaster once again bless him, we are hoping this works as the bigger op means it will take a few months to heal properly. I'm obviously dealing with Natalie on my own, we have hoists so that helps, its just dressing, bathing & changing her nappy which requires a bit of muscle lol. She is small in height but weighs about 9 & half stone, just a few pounds lighter than me...........yep unfortunately I have put weight on this last year :0( However we are managing not a prob & our home is still a mad house as usual lol. I will be able to bench press our van at the end of it lol........

Well thats it from me we have our grand-daughter staying tonight & at the minute she is addicted to one of Natalie's dvd's.........Over The Hedge, I think its cus the main character has the same name as her baby brother, only spelt different lol, his name is RJ.
So I am some what behind in commenting but I will try my best to get round to the rest of you today.

Thank you so much for stopping by & your lovely comments mmwah
YOU ROCK!!!!!

Good morning everyone how are you all?
Its time for another new challenge over at Crafty Little Fairies & this week its a super duper easy peasy challenge...........seriously gals & guys I want to see you ALL playing along with us ;0)
The theme this week is............
KRAFT
.................see now how easy is that!!! It doesn't matter how you use your Kraft as long as you use it.
I think for most of my cards I use Kraft, so I loved this challenge.
I've also used another of my new LOTV Baby stamps..........full of super cuteness.....
I made a card for a Baby Girl this time, so of course Pretty in Pink lol. The gorgeous papers are of course my new Pion Sweet Baby 6x6, this one is 'Pink Forget Me Knot' I inked the edges with Pumice Stone & machine stitched them.

All the flowers are from LLC & the leaves are Magnolia Doo-Hickey dies.

The gorgeous lace & the Shabby Seam Binding I got ages aog from LLC.

The image is called 'Rocking Horse' & I coloured it with my distress markers.
The letters are Little Darlings 'Use Your Words' sentiment stamps. I have neglected this stamp for so long!!

I added a double bow with the Seam Binding & attached a 'Bark Star' to the centre. The 'Girl' tiles are of course Whimsy 'Spell It Out' stamps. The scalloped pearls were from WOC & I added a
'Letter's Cube' Charm. There is also 'Cheese Cloth' under the second layer. I also added Gesso here & there.

Prima Ballerina Tilda

Hello everyone how are you all? Have you packed your xmas decorations away? I did ours on the 28th, I needed the extra room for Payton's & Arjays toys lol. Hubster has got the outside lights to take down today though as we forgot about those lol.

Anyway I'm here today with a new stamp that hubster got me just before xmas. I love this Magnolia stamp & it will become another of my faves. I've got her coloured up twice actually as I loved her that much, 1 pink & the other lilac lol.
Isn't she soooooooo pretty. The papers are from my new stash off my santa hubby ;0) These are sooooooooo gorgeous, they are the new Pion Flower Frames, this one is 'Rosa 6x6'. I inked the edges with walnut & machine stitched them.
I've added a Melissa Frances 'Resin Corner' & 'Pearls' both were from MCH. The seam binding is a roll fom my stash & the button in the middle of my bow is also Melissa Frances 'Vintage Glass Button'.

I used 2 of the 6x6 squares to do inside, the top part will have a little verse on of some kind. Isnt that frame just gorgeous!!!

This gorgeous lace is called 'Madeleine' & is also from my new crimbo stash. The flowers are all from LLC & I added 'Stardust Stickles' to them. You can just about see the sparkle on them.

The stamp is 'Prima Ballerina' from the Little Circus Moscow collection. I coloured her with distress markers & added a bit of Shabby Pink Fran-Tage.

I've used Magnolia's Doo-Hickey 'Swirl''Butterfly' which I also covered in Pink Fran-Tage & MF Pearls. The frame around the image is the large Petra Oval by Marianne Design.

Well thats it for me, I've family coming for tea later so I'm slow cooking a joint of lamb..........it smells lush.

Also my commenting will be slow at the moment & a bit sporadic, obviously my DT commenting has to be done. Do you remember hubster breaking his hand last year? Well its never healed properly, he has a big lump on it, in a lot of pain still & some of the swelling is still there..........he cant even wear his wedding ring. So he's in hospital tomorrow for an operation to try put it right which means he will be out of action for about a month. He's left handed & thats the hand he broke, I've brought him a pile of dvd's so help him not get bored lol. Obviously Natalie is a person job but I will have to do her on my own & look after hubster & usual stuff, we dont have carers or anything to help, Natalie is our daughter so its our job to care for her & be there for her. I will try to keep up as much as possible my lovelies.

Thank you soooooooo much for all your lovely comments they mean so so much to me.
Squishy hugs to all mmwah

Crafty Little Fairies DT Card

Good morning my lovelies how are you all?
I'm here today with my Crafty Little Fairies DT card with our first challenge of 2014 & the challenge this week is..............
STARTING OVER
............which basically means, 'New Home', 'New Job' 'New Baby'.........ect. Easy peasy isn't it!!
I have used this as the perfect excuse to use one of my gorgeous new LOTV stamps.........yeah like I need an excuse..........it would be rude not to use them right....
Yes I'm talking about the new gorgeous baby stamps...........hubster got me all of them for christmas as well as a load of other crafty goodies.
Like the fabulous new Pion 'Sweet Baby' papers, this one is 'Blue Baby Blanket' & I machine stitched them & distressed the edges with Pumice Stone ink.

On the left side I have used a 'Vintage Pearl Pin' & 'Shabby Pearl Rose Organza' which is oh so pretty.

The 2 large white flowers are 'Kaisercraft' & the others are WOC flowers from LLC.

On the right side we have a 'Shabby Bark Heart' & I've also placed a small 'Baby Dummy' in between the organza roses. The gorgeous lace underneath is also from LLC.

Dies used are Memory Box for the rolled flowers & Magnolia' Sprawling Ferns'.
Inside is decorated with the opposite side of the same paper used on the front. I also added LLL 'Heart Banner' inside & attached letters spelling 'BOY' with Pion Letter.
Of course the uber gorgeous image is LOTV 'Just Arrived' from the new baby collection, lurve these sooooo much. I coloured him with distress markers. The sentiment is also LOTV 'Vintage Occasion Label' which I also inked with pumice stone around the edge.

Well thats it from me but please pop on over to see my talented teamies creations.

I am slowly catching up, very slowly but I will be round as soon as I can. Its my grandaughters birthday today, I cant believe she is 2 years old, it goes way too quick. So my catching up may be slow today as we are at Ben & Megans later.

Thank you soooooooo much for stopping by it means a lot
Huge hugs to all mmwah

Happy New Year with my Top 10 Creations of 2013

Happy New Year everyone, may 2014 bring you lots of love, happiness & friendship, may it bring all your heart desires & more.
We dont really celebrate new years anymore as for years me & hubster were DJ's so we would both be at work on New Years eve til after 2 in the morning. Now we just like to spend it with the kids & see in the New Year with them...........after all its what our year is about, our family!!

Anyway I'm here today with my Top 10 (ok so there are a couple more ssshhh) creations of 2013. I would have posted this earlier but I've been looking after my gorgeous grandson.
Speaking of my grandson as his arrival was the most remarkable thing to happen in 2013 I thought I would start my Top 10 with the card & gift I made for Arjay's arrival.
I made a card with a matching Hot Air Balloon, I truly enjoyed making these so much & was quite pleased with the end result.

The image is of course Saturated Canary - Butterfly Baby & is still my most favourite image that Krista has done & it can be used for so many occasions.

This was an old alarm clock that I re-sprayed & altered & it now sits in my bedroom. I loved making this & loved how it turned out. Will definately be doing more of these in 2014.

This I like because its one fo the first images I coloured when I first got the Tim Holtz distress markers & whilst I still need to practice I was pleased how the this one came out, I also lurve this gorgeous ribbon lol.
Of course those that know me know I lurve Hannah Lynn & this is my favourite this year,  I love the colours on this & love how her hair turned out.

This is the last xmas card I made using a LOTV image & this one I really enjoyed. A lot of my cards there will be nearly always something I dont like about them, (my confidence on my card making is quite low, much to my family's annoyance) However this card I loved everything on it & was really pleased how it turned out.

This was a hanging I did using colours I dont normally use together but was really pleased with how it turned out.........its good to step out of your comfort zone.

I lurve vintage & shabby chic & love products from LLC & this one is using a lot of products from there including gorgeous Pion papers.

Now I'm not great at the male cards but this one I actually liked & it was for my son...........which I added 'Son' to later on..........if I make them in advance I cant always say who they are for incase they take a peekskie on here.

This is a birthday that I have made for my grand-daughter, she will be 2 tomorrow & absolutely LOVES music & dancing.........a girl after my own heart ;0) So I thought of this gorgeous image from LOTV. I love the frilliness & foofiness of this & I cant wait to give it to her tomorrow.
This one I lurve the colours, I love browns & the added warmth of the red just adds to it. Of course you cant go wrong with a LOTV image.
This is one of my favourite LOTV stamps, I absolutely adore this stamp & I will use it lots in 2014, as I plan on being prepared this year. Its also in my fave colours blue & brown..........I also love pink & brown & lilacs ;0)
This is a DT card using a Sweet Pea image which I made for Copic Marker Europe at the beginning of 2013 & this one I was really pleased with the end result. This image is gorgeous to colour & I kept the card itself  soft.

Yes ok there are 12 but thats not bad from a whole year lol. I also want to show you this next one. Now I didnt like this card when I made it, I was not pleased how it turned out............in fact it never got sent out & I still have it in my craft room.
However it has proved one of my most popular christmas, so it seems a lot of you do like it for some reason. I have been complimented on how each of my creations are different & I will carry that on in 2014, making each & every creation unique in its own way & different. I never plan anything on my cards & literally go with the flow.

Well thats it from me I will be back tomorrow with a DT card.
I would just like to say a HUGE.....no MAHOOSIVE thankyou for your wonderful comments & your continued support. Without you I wouldnt be here & although I've suffered a lot with my health in 2013 so I'm hoping to bring more to my blog this year with tutorials as well. I have been asked for a few which I will do as soon as I can. 2013 was another eventful year for my family but it made us stronger & no matter what we face we face it together. So 2014 what ever you have in store for us we will face you head on, together & united as always. Love conquers all!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you again my lovelies, take care & keep on smiling ;0)
HUge hugs to all xxxxxxxxxx

Happy Birthday To My Son Ben

Hello everyone how are you all? I'm soooooooo sorry for been MIA but before xmas was just so hectic I didnt even have time finish cards let alone blog. I hope you all had a wonderful xmas & hope you were all surrounded with lots of love & laughter. I had a house full, well bungalow lol & I got rather spoilt...............actually everyone got spoilt tbh lol. I've done no crafting & just been enjoying time with my family........

Anyway's today is my eldest sons birthday, Happy Birthday Ben. Yep 23 years ago today I was in hospital because my son decided to come very early...........it should have been February. So here are the only cards I've made since xmas.
I also have to say I got the inspiration from Pinterest months ago for these..........
There is no colouring on any of these & no papers at all..........just card & buttons ;0)

My sons nickname is 'Cookie' after Cookie Monster, he even has it in his facebook name lol, so of course I had to make him a Cookie Monster card. This card is from Natalie to her big bro!!

I made the bitten cookie with tan card & dark brown card for the choccy chips.

We all love the Minions from Despicable Me dont we...........well we all do anyway lol. We even took Natalie Smyth's toy store yesterday to get her a talking light up Minion............its so cool & funny lol.

I added 2 teeth to his smile & then attached a tag to them which I added a sentiment to...........

This is off Bens younger brother Jake, the sentiment reads 'You are a Bro in a Minion' & I also added Bens age to his dungarees pocket '0)
The faux stitching I did with a black Memento pen.

I added buttons to his dungarees & buttons to his eyes. I wanted his eyes to look odd, so one button is smaller than the other & I also scratched the surface of the smaller button, which is what the white is.

I was actually quite pleased with myself for these, especially the Minion one although there are some things I will do different if I make another one. The Cookie card was really easy to do & it only took me an hour, will be quicker next time now I've made one before & know what to use to get the different shapes.

Ben absolutely loved these & they gave him a laugh today so they were well worth time spent on them. I've got more crafting to do as its Paytons birthday in 2 days time & I've got Jakes & Natalie's cards for her to do.

Right I'm off to do some hopping while my grandkiddies are fast asleep..........if they stay that way lol. Will be round soon or tonight peeps
Thank you soooooo much for stopping by & for all your wonderful comments you all totally rock.
