I Am A MIM Kinda Girl!!!!!

Hello my lovelies how are you all? Well I've kept myself occupied today & played in my wee hobbit. I have played outside of my usual comfort zone today though & I've not used any coloured images.

I thought I would make some LIM kind of cards................boy are these hard to do I am definately a MIM kinda gal...........More Is More!!!!!!!!! Its good to try different things & think outside the box so to speak, so I will show you what I've made for this weeks LIM Challenge......

Is this a LIM kind of card? Its about as LIM as I do lol. I used 2 card blanks but only used the front on the 2nd card & shortened it to layer on top of the original card blank. I used the 'Prim Poppy' MB die to cut out the flower shape & placed DP in between the 2 layers.

The sentiment is from a stamp in my stash which I cut out & layered on with ribbon as well. TBH the only reason I did it this way is cus when I stamped it on the card it was crooked.........honestly I wasn't drunk lol. So I made another sentiment to place over it lol.

The paper I've used is Bo Bunny 'Gabrielle', I cut the butterfly out & the rest of the sheet went in between the 2 pieces of card to show through the die-cut. I've also used a Pearl Pen to add pearl dots to the butterfly.

This one I did first but its not for any challenges & tbh I'm not sure if I like it...... The paper is 

Glitz 'Hello Friend' & I've inked the edges. I punched a few small butterflies out, inked the edges & added Stardust Stickles. I've used Die-Namics  'Rosette' die to make the rosette & added a sentiment to the centre using a stamp I got from hubster about a year ago ;0)

Saturated Canary Challenges DT Card

Hello all my lovelies I am so sorry I am running late with this post I've not been on my lappy all day & totally forgot.....ooops!!!

Ok so we have a yummy new challenge over at Saturated Canary & we have a different kind of challenge that we hope you will love & have fun with.

OFFICE SUPPLIES

Isn't that cool, basically its the kind of things you would find in a office, staples, hole punch, paper clips, string etc etc............

Ok so my office supplies are as follows.................Paper Clips, Bulldog Clip, Staples, File Tab die, Dictionary Sentiment Stamp & Notebook Edge punch. 

Papers are Prima 'Londonerry' & I've inked the edges with Walnut Distress Ink. As always I've decorated inside & used my Bind-It-All to punch holes top & bottom & added a Tim Holtz paper clip.

The image I've used is 'Colour Me Wonderful' as I saw the pens & thought she would be perfect for this theme..........well you need pens in an office & in my opinion it should be Copics lol.

The gorgeous heart badge is from our beautiful boss Krista, its lush & now I will be buying myself lots more ;0)

I've used my 'File Tab' die, cut it out twice & layered & stapled it. I wrote 'B' on & then stamped it with the dictionary stamp 'Birthday' meaning. I cant even remember where I got this from & its the 1st time I've used it. I also added a Tim Holtz Bulldog Clip.

Added 'Lilac Raffia' across the centre & stapled it to the card.

Crafts & Me Challenges DT Card - Hannah Lynn

Good morning my lovelies............guess what....the sun is shining & the rain has stopped wooooooooo hooooooo!! My heart goes to all those that have been evacuated from their homes due to flooding :0(

Well its the Rockin Rubbah girlies turn to set you a challenge this week over at Crafts & Me Challenges & this week its my turn.......yayyyyyyyy. So I decided to set you all a super easy peasy theme....I would love to see your...........

......how easy is that! So what ever is your fave colour come along & join in the fun.

Now I have 2 when it comes to cards, altho these are not my fave IRL lol, my faves are pink & brown & the other is Blue & Brown...............as I did pink for my last challenge card I went for the other ;0)

I also went with my fave artist at Crafts & Me as well ;0) An oldie but a goodie.......

The fabric flower is cut from a Ribbon. Flowers I have added Stardust Stickles to & added a MB die underneath. I love this Sentiment. Feather butterfly is from my stash.

Tim Holtz Butterfly edge, ya gotta love these.........you know me & butterflies lol. I added muslin fabric & added corrugated card which I splashed with White Gesso.

Of course the image is by the fabby Hannah Lynn & is called 'Vanessa' & as always coloured with copics.

Trick or Treat Maggie

Hello my lovelies how are you all? Hope you are all keeping safe & warm in this awful weather we are having in the UK. We have it bad up here in the North East, a lot of people in Morpeth have had to be evacuated from their homes due to flooding.......again the river banks have burst. We have so many roads that are causing chaos, I even went the long way round to take my youngest 6th Form today to avoid the high winds on the dual carriageway. 

Anyhoo onto my wee creation today which is not a card, yeah check me out lol. I have this plan this year that I'm going to dress Payton up for Halloween & bake cakes for the tricker treaters & give them 1 of these each...............with sweeties in :0)

We dont normally do anything for Halloween but I thought we would start a new tradition for the next generation. These are tubes I've made to pop some sweeties or choccies in. 

This one is for Payton & the others that I make will be a little bit more simpler.

The witches shoes are from my stash as is the broom.

The chocs will get replaced with choc buttons for Payton ;0)

I have attached some cord for an handle so they can carry it around. The purple tissue were what my last lot of goodies were wrapped in from Dies To Die For.

I have used the sweet 'Sitting Witch Tilda' from Magnolia. I have 4 halloween stamps & I have only ever inked up 2 which was 2 years ago, my plan is to use all 4 this year.....lol.

She has been coloured with copics & prisma pencil. I paper pieced her hair ribbon & the band on her hat.

I have used purple & black card from my stash, ribbon & button is also from my stash. I used a Magnolia Doo Hickey Fence to go around the bottom.

The papers is also from Magnolia, I got it from Sir Stamp A Lot 2 years ago when I got the stamps but I cant find it on their website anymore :0(

I will be doing a tutorial for these within the next week if anyone is interested in making any. They are so simple to make & hopefully the wee kiddies will love 'em.

My Crafty Heart DT Card - Amy

Hello everyone how are you all? Hope you are all having a fabby weekend. I'm sorry I've not been on the last couple of days things have just been busy at home.

Anyway I do have My Crafty Heart DT card to show you today & I have used another one of Sylvia Zet stamps.............I cant help it I'm addicted to these cuties!!!

This little girl is called 'Amy' by Wee stamps for Whimsy. I've made this card for Megan as its her birthday next month...........we all called her Smeg for short, altho its sounds more like 'Shmeg' lol.

I have added a Prima Papillon (pronounced - Pap-ee-yon means Butterfly), WOJ sentiment & made a flower with Stacker Flower 4 Die & attached a Prima Fabric Flower to the centre.

I have of course coloured 'Amy' with Copics, colours below.........

Die Storage & my junk room lol

Hello my lovelies how are you all? It been a beautiful day here in the North East today.............mmmm NOT lol its been very wet & miserable :0(

I am showing you something different tonight. There is this blog called Shop At That Craft Place & my lovely teamie Suzi is on the there. Well they want to see Die Storage, so I thought I would pop on my die storage to help support this blog.

Now this is quite heavy post & I thought I would show you a few other storage things.......& storage problems lol.

The bottom half of this wall I covered with Magnetic Sheets & this is where I store my dies, altho I have to admit that I'm running out of space & currently I have quite a few on my bench next to this wall lol.

These are my bookcases next to 1 of my benches & when I saw I was running out of room on my wall I then stuck A4 Magnetic sheets to this as well. Currently my hobbit (craftroom) is under-going a re-decoration/overhaul so will be able to make more room for my other dies lol. I used to store them in cd cases but I found that there were so many I neglected as I can never remember what I have tbh. This way they are right there in front of me at all times, it helps to give me inspiration as well. All my Tim Holtz dies I just keep next to my die-cutting machines, but they too need storage at some point.

This is how I keep my embossing folders stored. I have 2 A5 ring binders full of polly pockets & I store each of my embossing folders in them. I got these ring binders as they can be decorated up if you want by making your own cover. Cuttlebug folders I can get 2 in every polly pocket, larger ones I just place 1 in.

Now remember me saying I have to sort my rubber stamps out & find some way of storing them all but its a huge job. So in order to make this job lighter I am going to give stamps away for candy as I sort through them. Well I thought I would show you my stamps as a lot of people have asked how many stamps I have..........please dont make me count them.

Ladies I dont know how you cope all of you who have been doing this for years, I've been doing this 2 years & I'm struggling to find stroage for everything.

Now all my wood blocked stamps go on 2 of my walls.......this is going to change tho as hubby is gonna fit some wall cupboards so all these stamps need storage..........that tho I have solved & will show you when its done. Excuse the mess peeps, this is my inking bench on 1 half & then sewing on the other half. Inking is only done on the mat tho & I keep antibacterial wipes in there. I also keep baby wipes which you can just see on the plastic drawers, they are for cleaning my stamps when I've used Memento, I figure if they are kind to babies bottoms they will be kind to my rubber lol.

This is going to be my new stamp storage. Altho I have no idea how long it will take me to sort lol. I am going to store my stamps in empty cd cases some of my stamps are already in cd cases but there are still a lot more to do.

The photo's on top are of my kids when they were younger, Ben was 14, Natty bout 12ish & Jake about 9 years old............gosh how they grow so quickly!!!

Each cd case I stamp or I will print out a pic of the stamp & then each cd case will be numbered. Then they will all be catalogued so all I do is look through the catalogue under a certain artist, find the one I want then look to see what number it is.

This is my current Magnolia stamp collection, well its half of it anyway. This is what started the cd case idea. Someone on ebay was selling these cases, they are the length of a dvd case but the width of a normal cd case & I fit 2 Magnolia stamps in every case. I've had these cases for over a year & just brought a cheap cd case to store them in. As you can see there is another unit ready when I put the rest of my maggies into cases lol. These are just standing on the floor at the min in fromt of the small bookcase.

I have 3 boxes of stamps to sort through. The one with the yellow envelopes in are all the stamps I have brought from Sweet Pea Stamps, yes some are still in the envelopes they came in & sit un-inked. The white box contains a lot of Sugar Nellies, LOTV, a few WOJ's, more Maggies & a the 1st full collection of Sylvia Zet stamps that were released.

The 2 bottom plastic drawers are both full of stamps, about 1 third of these are new & un-inked. Yes there is more of those Flippin Stamps in there as well, so you can expect more of those in future candies lol.

This is a set of drawers under my die-cutting bench & as you can see I've been EXTREMELY lazy & the middle drawer is full of stamps where I have just dumped them..........there is all sorts in there!

This is the plastic zip bag from my bedding set when I brought it & the bag came in handy to put stamps in lol, again me being lazy

These are most of my Crafts & Me stamps. If you click on the pic you will see the I'm doing different storage for these as usually these are larger stamps. I stamp 4 images onto an A4 sheet of card, write the artist down, I will also write down the name of the stamps. I then laminate it & then I can place all the stamps onto the sheet as I put EZ mount on them all these then slide into a polly pocket just incase any work loose. This will be stored on my bookcase.

All these pics were taken a few days ago & this was the state of my bench that day. Have you seen how dirty my window is lol. This is where I make my cards because of the window light & also cus we spend most of our time in the conservatory so I can still see everyone when they are in there. Also the dogs come in to see me & hubby brings me cups of tea out bless him lol.

Its currently needing a redoration as well as more units etc. So you see why I need to have a big sort out of my stamps & why I will be offering stamps out as candy.

Well my youngest has just got back from the gym so we are going to watch a dvd. I will be round to catch up with you all after & in the morning. Thanks for popping by & looking at my storage & my junk room lol. I will 1 day get it sorted.........goodness knows when that will be lol.

Midweek Magnolia DT Card - Wish Upon A Star

Good morning my lovelies how are yas all? Well its wednesday so that means its time for a new challenge over at Midweek Magnolia's yayyy. This week our lovely Becky has designed a fabby sketch for you all to use, now we all love sketches dont we ;0)

I have dug out an older Tilda, this is actually my most favourite Tilda.......she has been lost bless her but found her the other day after searching............

When I saw Just Magnolia's theme this time was add a star..........well what could be more perfect than this image & these papers.

I cant find Angel Love in the store I got it from.

Scrabble Tile stamps, Magnolia Swirly Butterly, Magnolia Leaf & WOC flowers with gesso & stardust stickles added. Star is from an xcut die I found at the bottom of a box still in the envelope from when I brought it oops lol. I stamped Upon A Star with letter stamps.

Good morning all my lovelies out there, how are you all? Well its actually lovely & sunny here in the North East today........altho a bit on the cool side.....autumn is on its way peeps brrrr...

Anyhoos I have a back to normal card to show you today, yea you know I cant do flat & simple for long lol altho I've still not gone foofymad with this one lol.

Its a card with an image from Sylvia Zet, so in love with these images......

Isn't she so gorgeous, these images are just so pretty & I thoroughly enjoy colouring them. This is a new one she did for Whimsy Stamps & she is called 'Summer Fairy' I love her hair!!

The flower I made using Aida fabric & some Tulle on top both from my stash. Finished it off with a resin flower & added Elegant Scrollwork MB die.

I absolutely LOVE this 'Butterfly Out' die Teresa also has the 'Butterfly In' in her shop.

This little sweetie was of course coloured with my copics.

pinks for the flowers & added stickles to them. The wings I covered with my Zig Pen & sprinkled with glitter.

I've used the new Glitz papers 'Hello Friend' these are so pretty & I've machined stitched all the papers. The card blank, lace & ribbon are all from my stash. The butterflies I made using my small punch. Of course I also added pearl dots using my Pearl Pen ;0)
