Crafty Purple Frog Challenges DT Creation


Good morning my friends how are you this morning? First I would like to welcome my 2 new followers...hi (waving like a loony) thank you soooo very much for following me I really do appreciate it. Well after a night of rain we actually have some sun now which is of course fab yesterday it was just miserable all day altho it wasn't cold I still had my window open in my hobbit, so shouldn't complain. Anyway thats it for the weather report up next is a DT creation lol.
Its time for Crafty Purple Frog Challenges & this fortnight the challenge is...
Anything But Square
No square cards at all lets see those shapes peeps.

I did a candle & then I made a box for it to go in....with an acetate front so you can still see the candle

This is 'The Glance' decoupage from Crafty Purple Frog Store. You can still put digi images onto candles & the good thing with these images is even tho they come as a decoupage you dont have to use every layer if you dont want to & they are fab for a quick make.
The candle I actually made before crimbo but then put it up & completely forgot about it til this week lol.

Sentiment on the back of the candle I also printed out.

The tag is made with a Magnolia die & the front fancy sides were made with a WOJ metal die.
Each side has been heat embossed with hologram embossing powder from Crafts & Me.

I made the box then decorated each side with lilac card from my stash. Everything is from my stash except the flowers which I got from Crafty Emma's.
The kids are giving this to my step-mum, their gran for mother's day. Just gotta order the bouquet of flowers & go fetch the present. Unfortunately Craig's mum died when he was 8 years old so we only have my
 step-mum so we tend to spoil her......well all mums should be spoilt.

    Oh wow! This is something new and so, so beautiful! I think if I had this candle I'd never want to light it because it's too pretty. Well done hun!

    Thanks so much for your lovely comments - I'm glad its not just me that saves scraps of paper - I still have a shopping list in my coat pocket and just cant bring myself to throw it away :)

    This is such a fabulous gift idea - its gorgeous. I LOVE candles, so cant every see myself giving any away though! :) lol.

    Gorgeous!!! I made my SIL one of these for Christmas using CPF decoupage, wish I'd have thought to make the box, it's super stunning and makes the gift even more special.

    Oh wow Vicky this is gorgeous. I love this image, actually I love the whole thing. Its wonderful. How do you put the image onto the candle, I can paint on them but dont know how to put a digi on them.
