Hi there peeps, hope you are all doing well. I have been very busy this last week moving rooms around in our bungalow to give every1 more room. My youngest son Jake now has the small bedroom that his eldest brother was in & his eldest brother now has our bedroom....you can imagine what mess was created moving 3 rooms around....utter chaos was not the word. The 1 good thing tho is that I got a lot of rubbish sorted out to go the tip so now my bedroom has NO junk in at all & everything is organised...just the way I like it lol.
Anyway onto to my card, last week I didn't enter into the PFP Challenge...it was my 1st miss at PFP since I started blogging but let me tell you it will be my last miss!!! Really....Serious withdrawal, even my hubby missed me doing it because he looks forward to seeing what I create......isn't that just great when your partner shows so much interest in your work/hobby...he really is my best friend, I love him SO much.
Right onto this card now! Over at PFP this week is an amazing week, it is there 1st anniversary.....they have been running a year now....many Congrats to them. To celebrate their anniversary they have on offer the most amazing prizes.....honestly you have to pop over to see for yourself because you wouldn't believe if I told you.....go now quickly!! Whats more the challenge this week is anything goes & you can enter as many times as you want....now thats an open invitation & all you have to do is make sure you use Promarkers its that easy. They also have new DT members this week so pop over & show them some support as they are feeling a little bit nervous.
Onto my entry now. For this card (there will be more coming soon, they will regret saying 'as many times as you like' over at PFP lol) I have used a digi image from The Greeting Farm. I found it through an e-mail newsletter they sent me & it had this little guy on....isn't he just adorable? I had to go straight over & buy him, which I did (with a few other images as well of course lol). I even printed him straight out & coloured him in with my trusty Promarkers but then he sat in a box with my other coloured images until last night!! So here he is......meet Irvin Sax....I have finally perched him upon a card & he looks lush bless him....
The papers I have had for ages now they are from Dovecraft & are called Eastern Blooms, they are just the most gorgeous papers, especially the 1s I've used on this card. The cardboard embellishments are also Eastern Blooms which my hubby got me about a week ago, I will post later on what else he bought me, quite a lot bless him....I am so lucky!!! The organza ribbon I had in my stash & the charm I had in my jewellery stash with SO many other things. The flowers are from a shop on Ebay who are based in Malaysia...they are really cheap & it only took 2 days to arrive, can you believe that!!! Things sometimes take longer in the UK!! The sentiment I found on good old trusty WWW & then added distress ink to the edges & spritzed with glitter spray & the tags he is layered on I cut out myself & distressed them with distress inks. The flourish I also made myself, I found a flourish again on the WWW, printed it out & then lay some acetate over them image & placed gems where I wanted & then cut around it to thus creating this flourish & then just added 3 Eastern Bloom embellishments to it in places. I am really pleased with how this card turned out, for once it actually turned out better than I had pictured in my mind.....WOW there's a 1st, its normally the other way round.
I am entering into a few challenges this week, so hopefully they will all like it....fingers crossed. Anyway sorry for the long post.....hope I havn't bored you too much. Take care evryone, keep on crafting & defo keep smiling, it uses a lot less muscles lol. Smile for the things you are grateful for every day, smile for the ones we have lost but yet we still carry in our hearts every single day, smile to make evryone around us feel at ease & happy. Bye bye for now.
Hugs Vicky xxx
